  1. i have seen rust causing wheel shudder and brake shudder. but i see your point on no brake shudder, i think you should just get the wheels onto a balncer for $35 it will tell you whether your problem is that or the brakes. takes the guess work out of it. and while the wheels are getting balnced pull the brakes off and clean the rust. WIN WIN
  2. was in RWD. on that note but you shouldnt believe that rwd KW is higher than AWD KW my old GTR made 410KW in RWD and then straight after made 419KW in AWD, this was on a dyno dynamics dyno. going back on the dyno next wednsday after putting in 044 intank and the tomei 600cc injectors, was maxing the old injectors out with stock fuel pressure reg
  3. meh... just empty it and see how quickly it refills. then you can start worrying if its full pretty quickly
  4. Because im in sydney and injectors are in melb. Someones cranky this morning. Injectors are the same price. So if one is going to get better fuel economy then its worth asking the question. Car is not a daily driver. Just weekends and circuits
  5. in my other Topic i was asking for a comparison on Sard VS Nismo injectors, now i have noticed that there not nismo 600cc's but actually TOMEI 600cc, i was looking at heaps of different injectors and got a bit confused, so Are Tomei 600cc injectors better than Sard 660cc injectors? ie which has a better spray pattern mainly concerned about fuel economy. thanks again Jez
  6. could possibly be air filter restriction or exhaust restriction such as a partially melted catalytic converter

  10. any unusual smoke from the exhaust. have you pulled off the turbo inlet to check the turbine, see if it spins freely etc. does the engine tick when you rev it with the bonnet up? might just be a blown turbo >manifold gasket
  11. best to not drive it on boost till you get a nipple fitted to the cooler pipe, or you will need a new turbo + engine
  12. lube is good for everything, thats not the issue with the 800cc's they fit fine but sit out by 10mm and need the stock rail mounting brackets to be modified to sit the injectors lower
  13. you saying they cant be ground down or shouldnt be ground down? we ground some of my SR20 shims and guides when i converted to solid lifters, thought they would be the same
  14. sard 800cc dont fit stock rail, i used them in my 1st GTR. these are direct fit, bolt in EDIT:meant to say they fit stock rail but dont quite reach the hole, like most sau members LOL
  15. rust where the disc meets the hub can cause this, also some aftermarket wheels require hub centric rings as they dont match the hub of the car. did you rotate the wheels? have you got the wheels rebalanced / checked on a balancer

  18. call nissan 1st and see if they can get them. if not, find out what the stock size shims are then most machine shops can dring them down. or order from tomei and wait 2 months
  19. got the option of either Nismo 600cc or Sard 660cc for the right price RB26DETT N1 turbos power fc axhaust cooler etc etc has made 274kw on 17psi maxing the injectors. so putting 044 intank and either of the above injectors and retune next week. car is street cruiser / circuit car. are these injectors similar or does the nismo have better spray pattern twin pintle etc. mainly concerned about fuel economy. cheers Jez
  20. Current comp test results? Dyno sheet? Power on pump fuel?
  21. are you using a noid light or LED test light to check the injectors? have you pulled the spark plugs out to see if they are dry (no fuel)

  24. just to throw a spanner in the works, gear and diff ratios will have a big part in the seat of the pants feel of torque and accelleration..
