  1. just keep driving it. check the PCV and breather setup especially for the catch can. check that the baffles inside the rocker covers arent blocked causing too much crankcase pressure
  2. take off rocker covers and compression stroke is when the cam lobes are not pushing on the valves, so only base circle will be touching
  3. spray some carby cleaner or start ya bastard into the throttle body while cranking and see if it fires. take off the fuel pressure line and put into a bottle and check that there is plenty of flow from the fuel pump. might be too weak. check power to the injectors and negative pulse at the injectors with a LED test light, if thats good then more than likely the injectors are seized
  4. if the idle is rough also then disconnect 1 coilpack at a time and see which one DOESNT change the engine idle, this will help diagnose which cylinder it is. how rich was the run in tune? new injectors or ???
  5. nope only stockers in my new motor. tridentt150v - even though the cam gears say 0 doesnt mean that they are in the factory 0 position, thats why people dial in cams to get the true 0 for those cams. on my old SR20 we dialed in the cams as per spec sheet and true zero @ 50thou lift was 13 degrees adv on the inlet and 8 on the exh, after doing this it was on the dyno and playing with the cam gears got us better results on boost response and total power
  6. mine sits on 70 around the street and doesnt reach 100 on the track coolant temp is the same doesnt really move past 68 degrees
  7. have u washed your engine bay? does it only do it when its cold air outside. try turning the warning or overboost a bit higher
  8. Even after u dial them in the sheets say to adjust them when tuning. We wasted heaps of time dialling ours in and they didn't get the best results. I think u should get it on a dyno and tune them that way
  9. Yep. Cracked ring land. Time for a rebuild unfortunately for u
  10. woopsy.. my bad. what diff. ratio are you using?

  13. what spark plug gap are you running? my car was boost surging from 16psi to 13psi on sunday on the way to eastern creek, i worked out the boost controller was playing up, after turning the boost controller off and running stock boost the boost was fine, is your boost surging or the engine missfiring/ spitting? what fuel pump your running?
  14. good to hear your ok Leif, didnt see the smash but saw the aftermath of the car. i like how all you were worried about was taking peoples track time, very considerate but you had nothing to worry about, im sure we can all agree safety for you was the only thing people were worrying about.
  15. have you tried decat?
  16. is that always 100percent true? if it drops regardless its the turbo? is it possuble that there is a restriction still?

  19. what was the cuase? how did you fix it? what were the ecu numbers?
  20. each car is different, throw it on a dyno and get it tuned, 7 psi is stock and 10 psi is weak lol, get it checked and see if it has safe AFR's for 12psi
  21. 23. prob a good idea to get a new fuel pump anyway, pull the plugs and check the condition
  24. just got mine tuned yesterday on 1.2 bar stock motor unopened but with steel wheel N1 turbo's. made 274 kw and on 1 bar made 256kw was tuned with power FC plenty of safe power for a stock 1990 GTR
  25. what ever size you do use just be carefull if you grub screw it, my mates brand spanka engine was mixing oil/coolant, pulled the head back off and the machinist said the grub screw is leaking, yet they cant even get it back out, its got heaps of loctite/sealant on it, there going to weld it and machine it flat
