Correct. U paid for 90% of the tune already. So best for u to pay 10% to finish off the tune then another tune with me.
I would have loved to tune ur car. But i didnt want u to spend more money than u already have
I was running a 38mm gate without boost issue's (except for poor sealing due to ebay spec)
I hav fitted a tial 44mm mvr gate now. Dyno it soon hopefully
I had the same issue when i cleaned my throttle bodies in my first GTR.
Also in my old r31 but that was due to dud iac valve (idle motor)
Try crimping the hose that feeds the idle motor to see if the idle drops.
Make sure the throttle cable isnt over adjusted. Make sure throttle plate is fully closed.
Make sure idle adjustment screw is wound all the way in.
Make sure cooling system is bled
My return flow is performing so far. I also have cooler piping from turbo is 2inch then near the cooler it opens to 3inch. Then from the cooler it drops from 3inch to 2.5inch to the throttle body.
This car goes against the norm
Its a stock rb25 Running stock manifold. Td06 20g 8cm 21psi on 98 octane pretty aggressive tune.
No vtc yet.
Has since made up a 5 bolt rear housing and boost pressure is safe and stable at 14psi. Should help with flow too.
Retune on 18psi once he gets car rego'd
Do it. Good turbo if ur going to upgrade to a forged motor.
But
U shouldnt want to rebuild a motor until it needs to be rebuilt. So a gtx3071 or normal 3076 will be plenty. And u will always be able to sell the turbo for good money when u want to go bigger
No i didnt. Car will be back monday night. Worked on ur car, ill try it on the rb25 tomorrow. Only 1 trouble area at 5000.
He is going to weld a new dump to the turbo, the stock setup even with the die grinded outlet sucks balls.
Damn i wish i stocked k&n filters. I could make a fortune haha.
The pod was a no name cheapy. So the cusomer got a SCAuto one. Much better. Has more glue holding the centre peice in haha
