For sale: 1992 Nissan 180SX (200SX) Killometre's: 80,500 (hasnt reached it just yet) Transmission: Manual Engine Type: CA18DET 1.8 EURO SPEC (very unique, read on) Complianced: Yes (2002) Road Worth Certificate: Yes Registration: Yes - May 2006 Crash History: No Accident History - Inspection Welcome Contact detail's: MG - 0403 924 572 (call anytime) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am finally selling my baby (or at least considering it, an EOI if u will) to change to something different. This car has been babied all its life; I guarantee this is one of the best S13s you will lay eyes on. I would also like to mention that although many times I had considered modifying this car, I came to the conclusion that such a unique, clean and unthrashed car should be left in its Excellent, original condition. Also I have only seen two other ones in Australia similar to it. Read on for more info... 1992 Nissan 200SX (180SX) Although the car looks identical to a 1992+ Nissan 180SX, it is actually badged as a "200SX". This is because the export versions of the 180SX to Europe and some other select countries were called "200SX"s. This particular car was originally sold in Hong Kong. It was imported in 2002 by its original owner (personal import – with all import and Compliance papers still with me in perfect condition) when he moved here to Australia. I purchased the car in May of 2004. It remains in its immaculate original condition, even after 13 years, because of its careful and mature owners. You'll find the details below - you'll also notice some of the cool differences between this car and the Jap 180SXs you may be accustomed to seeing. Engine * Final generation of the 1.8L CA18DET - more powerful and efficient than the Jap versions of this engine, with a power output equal to that of the first generation SR20DETs (I have the dyno chart available if you are interested) * 5 speed manual with new genuine nissan clutch. * Completely stock standard - never raised boost, raced, or abused. * GENUINE 85,000kms (with papers) * Serviced 10kms ago (serviced every 5000kms since I have owned the car with Motul oil and genuine nissan filters) * Major Service 20,000kms ago, including dyno-tune and injectors cleaned. * Dyno-tuning mapped to 105 rear-wheel-kilowatts – In proper 4th gear run (standard Jap spec CA18DET 180SX puts out only 83 rwkw), map is available. * All injectors, coil-packs (also cleaned) and compression tested by Greg @ ‘Autosport Engineering’ with excellent results for all (documentation available) * Starter Motor reconditioned by ‘Kirrawee All Kars’ -The car starts up first time every time! * NRMA 560CCA battery (with 2 year warranty) Installed * The turbo in this model of car is a very unique unit featuring a 0.64 A/R exhaust housing! (compared to 0.48 A/R of the units found in normal 180s) * ABSOLUTELY No oil leaks! No water leaks! No smoke! * Factory installed diff. oil cooler (the only car iv seen with this fitted from factory) * Engine warmed up for 5-10 minutes before each and every run, and idled for at least 2 minutes before shutting off, to reduce thermal stresses on engine and prolong engine life * Most gear changes made before 3000rpm to prolong engine life Body * White duco in excellent condition. * No scratches, scrapes or dents. * No rust! * Rear wing has been removed by a professional body shop (a proper weld job) * Sunroof WITH factory interior cover (very rare) * Unique front and rear spoiler brackets which accommodate the large Euro-style number plates (meaning no defects for bent plates) * Another unique feature of this car is that it has the late model SR front bar. * Recently completely rust-proofed - under warranty * Washed every week, waxed on regular basis. Interior * Interior in excellent condition. * No cracks or wearing in the trim panels. * Dash panel has been covered with a custom dash-mat so there are no cracks what so ever. * Indicator stalks are not faded. * An original Nissan 240Km/h Speedo, with no speed limiter at 180km/h (factory feature) * Air-conditioning * The same interior as 94+ Jap models (patterned velour). * An original Nissan digital push button controlled dimmer for the dash lights (normally an analogue dial) * Original parcel shelf in excellent, untouched condition. * Very reliable alarm Installed: Cyclops Paralyzer P775 alarm + immobiliser system with remote central locking, remote boot release, back-up battery and turbo timer interface - under warranty * Power steering/windows/mirrors (all in perfect working order) * Original Nissan seatbelts which comply to Aust standards, even has covers over the rear seatbelt rolls. * Still retains the ‘OK Nissan’ sticker which is put on by the factory Rolling gear * Anti-lock brakes (ABS) * All brake rotors machined and new ‘Bendix’ pads fitted and bedded in. * Another unique feature: SR brake setup (from factory) * Original Nissan SR 15" 7 spoke alloy wheels (5 of them – extra being a spare) - the wheels have been specially anodised in the original grey colour, so they still appear new and are a breeze to clean. * Four new Yokohama A539 high-performance tyres. * The car also comes with a full set of ‘tear-drop’ wheels with tyres so u don’t ruin the A539’s hehehe *iv put the SR wheels on the front and the CA wheels on the rear for now to show prospective buyers the condition and also to save the A539's Documentation and registration * All original import and compliance documents * ALL receipts (even all petrol receipts retained to show only BP Ultimate has been used) * Original Owner's Manual * Nissan Parts CD for easy access to parts numbers * NSW registered until May 2006 with RWC Pictures, location, pricing and further details The car is currently located in Sydney, NSW. The asking price is $13,000 ONO which I believe is a fair price for a car in this condition with the features. I guarantee you that the first serious buyer to see the car will purchase it. It is in ALL honesty the cleanest 180 iv set eyes on and i know for a fact that several members on here (if they see the post as they'll b surprised to c i mite b selling) will vouch for it! I can be contacted by: -PM (regularly online) -E-mail: [email protected] or I can be contacted at any time on 0403 924 572 Best wishes in your search for a great car! -MG And by the way evry1, im a nissansilvia member, u can chek me out there. Iv been a member for years and hav a post count of over 1400 so im not just sum1 coming on here to flog something off. Im really interested in a 32GTR i saw and im at a point where im willing to sell this even tho im not 100% sure to step into something that i can achieve more with. Il hav pics up ASAP
  3. i was using any numbers just to use an example. If ur car is lowered and ur running those wheels they'll b sticking slightly out of the guards i believe...best to fit them and see how they go coz its not only body clearance but suspension, brake clearance u gotta worry about
  4. Gotta remember tho mate...its not all about the width. Usually means that different width/offset combinations can b used and thus diferent charecteristics. ie. alot less offet (+12 for example) may mean that u will get scrubbing against ur arch while the same wheel in a +32 mite b perfect
  5. Hey evry1, I'm not a regular poster on here as i hav a 180 and am regularly on ns.com. I want ur opinions on wat car to get next...iv been planning this for so long and its basically come to the time where i either do something or shut up. So my options are down to another 180 except this time a nice late model TYPE-X or a R32 GTR. Now their both in roughly the same price range so theres no problem there but im trying to weigh up evrything and convince myself. The Age difference is a big factor as the GTR's im looking at are '90 compared to the 180 whcij is a '97...that aside, its funny as the GTR's hav ridiculously low km's <100k (probly due to winding bak) while the type-x (due to its "non-tamperable" digital odo) has a lil over 100k. Iv always loved 180's and 32GTR's and personally think they are both quite good looking cars...but im finding myself not looking so much at the looks of the car as much as i used to or interested in wizz-bang audio etc (a case of been there, done that). Im looking at something thats is reliable yet excites me evrytime i jump on the pedal. Something that wont b having problems evry 2 weeks and wont need a rebuild even if i run 250kw atw day-in-day-out. I do love the 'throwable' nature of the 180s but the GTR...well theres something about the fact that u can go into a corner where in a FWD/RWD car the thoughts running threw ur head would b "well im farked...i wonder how much the repair bill will b..." but instead in the GTR, u get a rush of power to the front wheels and ur pinned bak in ur seat as u get winched out of the corner. It is a hard choice but hopefuly with some suggestions from here and areas that i should b thinking about it should help. Also any info such as avergae fuel consumption would b great. Thanks and sory bout long post
  6. Well as long as all wheels are still rolling...id probly say anywhere over 10km/h (and thats probly faster then needed) so yeh.
  7. Good to see ppl are giving real opinions instead of "get the line mate" that ud expect. If i was to ask the same comparison but instead of 33 GTS-T say 32 GTR would it b fair to say that it would b a unanimous decision on the GTR? (myself owning a 180 atm going 2 a GTR) BTW...to the topic starter, who did u get ur loan with?
  8. that flicking the car off thing... Try this: While driving normally, put the car in neutrel, turn the car off, then after say 3 seconds while still rolling turn the car bak to ON and uv got RWD, so put into any gear and enjoy, but b weary, RWD + alot of power + being used to the AWD system = wall
  9. Hey, Im looking at a few 32's (GT-R's) and will b soon buying 1 (previous car is a 180). So thought id just get some words of wisdom, advice etc from evry1. Cheers
  10. Nope...sum1 asked bout the motor being R34...u can tell it isn't as the 34 GTR has different writing on the coil-pack/spark plug cover
  11. Im pretty sure all u need to do is remove the fuse for the ATTESSA system, so if u wanted a switch, u would just link a switch to that fuse. Im also pretty certain that for true dyno runs u need to also remove drive/s's to the front wheels. But any1 feel free to correct me if im wrong
