I wonder how much difference there really is in fuel for a 4.0 turbo six and a V8 ???????

Just been reading in the papers and the car mags, and the new FORD BA XR6 Turbo is coming out 230 kw stock. Its a 4.0 turbo six, and at 230kw stock i would say it has alot of potential being a 4.0 with a little mods exhuast and bit more boost probaly close to 300KW, so beleive it or not in about 4 months where going to be driving around and see fords, with FMIC, BOV's and even cop cars with TURBOS! I guess there good and bad to this, BAD- Fords are going to beating probaly alot of skylines GTS-T's GOOD- Cops may not pick on us JAP turbo cars cause theres a aussie car with turbo and it will become normal! (maybe im just hoping 2 much) Anyways Next year around feb , its going to be a interesting to see how this TURBO 4.0 SIX's to and how many get done up, i think it might be a new cult car since the WRX is not as pretty anymore. What u guys think? FORD'S eating Skylines (since we mostly worry about commordores SS espicially now I think we going to be worrying about FORDS) ! !! and with FMIC and BOVS and cop cars with turbo fords!

After having read through the Forums and alot of people have recommended HILLS for doin work on their skylines , i rang them up after some pricing on a few mods that im looking at doin. I was wondering any one has done any of these mods and how much they paid. Parts for R33 GTS-T Front Mount Intercooler Fitted = $2200 Dump Pipe = $350 HI FLOW CAT (the best they got) = $450 Be interesting to compare some prices and see what the cheapest place to get these common mods done, maybe we can have a INTERCOOLER FITTING day or something and get a discount? I will continue to shop around, should i have metioned to Hills that I was recommended from Skylines Australia?

Last night comnig home from work, I couldnt stand it anymore so i pulled the BOV off and pulled it all apart. It was really dirty so i cleaned it all up oiled it and put it back and noticed that the pipe that runs from the BOV to the Bleed valve was torn where it connects to the BOV so i cut it and put back on. !!!!!!AND IT WORKS!!!!!!!! :lol: The problem seems to have been the torn pipe but after the cleaning and oiling of the BOV it sounds better. Have to see if it stalls now, hopefully not

I have been mucking around with the BOV and now it sounds like ****!. Im not sure on wether to tighten it or loosen it, If its to tight then it wont release the boost until its too high and too loose it will lose preasure. It used to sounds really good but now it sounds crap now, wish i never touched it but curiosity got the best me. Any ideas please how to get it hissing pssssstttt nicely once again thanks

I have recently bought some paint to paint the front bumper as it was badly scrathed and chiped, being a white car I just bought nissan white paint and it matched fine. The problem is at work a friend owns a skyline which is a dark Gun Metal grey colour and we cant find the Paint Colour code in the engine bay? Does anyone know where you can find the colour code for the paint in skylines? It must be somewhere , otherwise how do panel beaters match up the excact colour. I know that in Australian model cars , the colour code is always printed, but these japanses imports i don't have a clue.

Dam, would have been interesting if he had wanted a run, maybe he already lost to a skyline and his pride could'nt take another whiping. :lol: :lol:

Joe, When I got my full one down i got the following changed Oil Oil Filter Petrol Filter Brake fluid Gearbox oil Radiotor Flushed Spark Plugs(platinium) and a one or two more things forget now Hope this helps

BY BY, Where abouts is Hybrid at, also sounds like another good place to take our skylines, alot of dodgey places out there so i think its good to know where the good guys are. Nothing worse than paying your money over and thinking yuor getting things down and it doesnt, i ahve a friend who is machanic for Ford, and he tells me storys for example how they thrash the cars on test drives sometimes when there bored, and if there flat out they dont change the oil filter or change other fluids that where in joba and stuff like that, the customer is none the wiser and still pays for it

I went for a drive last night, and ended in North Sydney and came to a set of lights. Anyways a Red Mitsubishi 3000GT pulled up behind me, and then reversed and came on my left, and i thought alright your on, so im waiting for the lights to change, and i see the opposite lights turn orange and then red, and then our lights turned green and i hit it, by second gear i was wondering where is he? He did'nt even go for it and peacefully came back into my lane there was a car parked. DAM i wanted to drag a 3000 GT does any know how fast they are? or even had a go with one? would be interesting to find out not that many around.
