yeah .... sorry worded it poorly..... meant i can't believe no-one up until then mentioned the bit about the wharfies Spose if you wanted to drive the car from the docks you could always find a bit of flat concrete or bitumen off the road and do an oil change there? You would have to be make sure you put the old oil once drained out into the empty oil bottle and dispose of later, and make sure you don't do it on the side of the road with your legs hanging out from under the car Changing the oil nearby could be the only way to go if the car you are importing is particularly low as a lot of tow trucks and tilt trays have trouble loading vehicles with little ground clearance, mainly an issue with bodykits though and not exhaust systems.

^^^^^^^exactly.... i can't believe everyone forgot that UNLESS it is being sent in a container the wharfies will have a nice time cold starting your import and thrashing it around the docks and taking out of the yard to you. Anyone know the rights of the owner of the car as to being able to enter the yard to take the car out for themselves? If you offered to sign a piece of paper saying you are entering at risk to yourself and do not hold them accountable in the event you are injured or something like that and agree to be escorted... wouldn't they have to let you collect the car for yourself? A lot of people i know and myself have seen the way the wharf workers treat the cars and it is not good at all. Jamie

I agree with the above posts. I too have been targeted numerous times by the local police whilst minding my own business doing nothing illegal or attention drawing. I have been pulled over in both my cars for a "random breath test" (since when are they ever random?) only to once breathalized, have the officers ask me a series of questions about my car and start looking for modifications they can issue a defect notice for. It is getting beyond a joke when the police force are constantly pulling over safely modified performance cars and defecting them for minor issues that are of no danger whatsoever to the public or the owner/passengers of the vehicle. How can the police honestly say they are not targeting a specific group of people when they have double standards on everything. They will pull over a car for "creating undue noise" by having a performance exhuast system yet count how many harley davidsons with no mufflers are on the road and guess how many of them have fined for the same offence (my guess is hardly any, and i know several people with such bikes that have never been booked) Has anyone ever seen the cops set up a defect station at a biker gang's meet ups? I didn't think so. I could go on all night about various rules but its too late in the morning and i'll some for other people to talk about. Jamie

come on people.... it's cheap... i spent $2300 on the gearbox rebuild less then 2000kms ago and have reciepts to prove it. Clutch is only 500 or so kms old and is easy as to use, air con works well, brakes are awesome for just pad and rotor upgrade. Remember its a 95 model and the k's are genuine unlike some car that are around with 60000kms on the speedo and have wear on the steering wheel and seats and gearboot etc Has airbag steering wheel. If it doesn't sell here i'll have to get off my ass and put it in the tradingpost

Can anyone confirm if the redtop older motors head flows better then the silver top and if so what work would be involved in the swapover? Any electrics gonna cause issues?

no idea how they got it on there. I think they pissed off the vct on the inlet side however when they put in the tomei cams. i don't know much about what the heads and cams are set up like though so i can't say how they got it to work sorry. Jamie

no sorry i don't know how to put the glove box back in but it will go with the car as will the three near new hks clutch plates i removed to change for the two carbon ones 3 months ago and straight through cat replacement pipe. The original seat doesn't come with the car. I do not have it. Everything is intact still has aircon which works, power steering, abs everything.... it's not a stripped out drag only car more of street drag car.

no stereo.... no stains no lifting on the trim etc interior is like new except glove box is removed(still have it) and metal plate where stereo and that is so switches and rev limiter are mounted on it. No wear on steering wheel or gear boot and seats. I would deregister car if you wanted but probly wouldn't get much back as in qld think they round it off a lot.

Yeah they are bugs.... haven't washed the car for probably 3 months(i'm not kidding)..... i'll take some pics tomorrow. Nothing wrong with the car besides the current front bar being "customised" but i'll replace it if sell for the asking price otherwise i can take the cost of new one and paint($600) off the asking price.

knore -> the piggyback computer uses a maf or map sensor as far as i know in place of the less accurate and more restrictive afm. Not sure what type exactly however. Jamie

ummm tune is rich but afr's drop pretty smoothly to 10:1 as hits full boost and sit pretty flat..... surprisingly good tune even though richish one. Hi, Just wondering why you shouldn't use a techtom iic460 ignition control computer that cuts ignition at set rpm with a cat converter? Is it because the dumped fuel ignites and flames or why? Thanks Jamie
