Lol, know what u goin thru. Tryin to fit focal 6.5's in a car that has like really small 5.5's and the magnets foul against windows quite a lot and goin 2 need to cut the back of the door skin out abit as well as make up some spacers
-
If all speakers are standard now, I would definately put the new ones in front before the back, i mean unless u spend most of the time in the back of the car . Personally I would also buy the amp to run the speakers before buying another set of speakers but that is up to you. Sounds like a pretty good deal. It should be pretty straightfoward to install yourself but ask if the dealer installs the head-unit do u get extended warranty cos i know with eclipse you get another 2 years if they install it. Also the 6.5"s could be tricky if door holes are small but you should be able to work it out i reckon. All the electronics/wiring is very very basic aside from head-unit.

Depending on the head-unit only high end (nakamichi, eclipse etc..) NEED and amp to run speakers but all systems will sound better run off decent powered amps, generally the more power, the more control, so better sound. By this i don't mean buy a more powerful amp like a powerful low quality amp over a lower power quality amp. As for it working, all that is different is if you have a tuner, you will need a frequency expander as in japan radio stations broadcast on different frequences to asutralia, and if you buy a dvd player i think they need converting or sumthin. Also if you plan on addind a stacker later the japanese models may have different connections to the australian models even i n the same brand.

Depends on the car as well as how much gear is in your install as too whether or not it will affect performance and handling a great deal. In r32's i've been in, a 12" in a pretty average enclosure (only 8mm mdf i think) makes no real difference. The biggest weight factor is usually the box so you can save weight by bracing a thinner walled mdf box so it doesn't flex as much and reduce thickness.

brown bread is also easy to use
-
brown bread sounddeadining is pretty good and not too expensive... just look for some reviews. as to the panel removal i wouldn't have a clue
-
pretty east to fit, u just have 2 space the midbass driver out of the door with a space made from mdf or such. then if needed just cut away at whatever bracing plastic on the door skin fouls it and brace it up again but around speaker

To give you a rough idea similiarly modified gts25t's i have seen putting out about 300rwkw at 1.2bar of boost. With a dyno tune i am sure this would match or pass that figure on 98 octane pump fuel. -
