  1. If you haven't already, keep an eye on my105 classifieds, some good road race & circuit GTR's pop up on there from time to time. Would it be worth him calling around larger compliance places to see if anything has failed compliance for accident repairs or do they get cut or shipped back to japan or something?? I'm outta the loop now, last time I brought a car in was when 15yo rule was still around
  2. Avoid copies! If you look around you can find genuine second hand seats cheap enough. I bought my genuine Bride Brix 2's for $500 each and they were in mint coniditon, just needed a bit of a clean. Eventually going to get some fixed backs once I find something I like but these were a cheap fix in the interim and just as supportive, only downside is they are very heavy and no provision for a crotch strap. Probably going to switch to Recaro SPA or SPG pole positions eventually as my sister had one in her car and it was super comfy and suprisingly nice and snug for a european seat! Theres a pair of Cobra's on ebay with willans harnesses at the moment, might be worth checking out
  3. The purpose of them varies depending on if they are helper springs or tender springs. I'd assume being japanese they are probably only going to be a helper spring. Article about Helper Springs vs Tender Springs
  4. Not sure if this is what you meant, but you're best bet is to duct air in behind the rotor hat to the vanes on the centre of the rotor. If you duct straight onto the rotor itself you are asking for warping and cracking.
  5. Yeah, not sure exactly what I'm chasing to do the job. I know beer baron had it done to his r34 gtr calipers but he's obviously not locally. Checked the front and the caliper thread is M14 x 1.5 The thread I want to change it to is M12 x 1.5 None of the threads on the calipers are damaged, only doing this purely for ease of installation as this will be easier for me than drilling the knuckles and just seems like a better solution.
  6. Hi All, Thought someone here might know about this. I have a set of calipers that I plan on eventually fitting to my s14, however the thread in them is 14mm and the s14 knuckes/hubs/whatever are 12mm standard. What I want to do, rather than drill out the holes on the hub/knuckle to suit, is to get someone to put some stainless steel thread inserts into the calipers to change them to the smaller thread size. Anyone know a good place around Brisbane or the Sunshine/Gold Coasts that can do this that is fairly priced? Thanks Jamie
  7. Due to time wasters this is back up for sale again. HKS EVC III Boost Controller In very good condition, only negative is that it has a little double sided tape still stuck to the underside of the unit. Was working perfectly in my S14 but is no longer required and I could better spend money elsewhere at the moment. Chasing $250ono delivered express post anywhere in Australia. Located in Brisbane, QLD and pickup is also available. 0420 856 464 or PM me. Cheers Jamie
  8. Sold pending payment.
  9. Hi All, I have a HKS EVC III for sale. It came in my S14. I no longer require it and could better use the money elsewhere. Unit is in very good condition, only negative is it has a bit of double sided tape still stuck to the underneath. Can get pics up tonight/tomorrow if required. Chasing $250 delivered express to anywhere in Australia. PM me here or call 0420 856 464, if I don't answer leave a msg, work long hrs and can't always take calls. Pickup can also be arranged if you live in Brisbane. Cheers Jamie
  10. As far as I can tell the only major benefit of a carbon diff is the silence & smoothness in daily driving. There's a day and night difference in NVH between my Kaaz and ATS carbon 1.5 ways. Not really any performance difference I can tell however except for smoothness of engagement.
  11. Hi, How are you? Few questions about the car, a mate has asked me to keep an eye out for clean 33 gtr's for him. Does it have any suspension mods? What type of clutch is in it? 2WD or 4WD dyno used for the run?
  12. Yeah, the conduit does make it look a lot neater. And if you get carried away and want to wrap it in black elec tape it almost looks factory.
  13. I did this on my S15 and in the process of doing the same on my s14 now. Try to use a dry cell if you are mounting in the boot or inside the cabin. If you want to do it yourself just measure up the length of cable required by running a piece of string or rope along the required path and cut it/mark it at the required length. Go to an auto electrician or a welding shop to buy the cable depending on what gauge you need for your application. Use a fuse as close to the battery as possible. Run the same size earth from the battery to the body as the power cable and make sure you get a good contact. A battery isolator switch is a good idea if you are not going to be driving the car regularly and I also got myself a battery charger that I can just leave on when I'm not driving the car. This time I purchased a kit as I want everything to look a bit neater this time but it wasn't cheap. Cheers Jamie
  14. Hi, Are you willing to seperate the drum handbrake assembly? Including cables and backing plates, shoes etc.... Cheers Jamie
  15. Hey man, Did the drum handbrake assembly sell? Will take if not... Cheers Jamie
  16. Hi Dave, Kind of offtopic question but regarding the HKS F Con V Pro's, I have one of these ecu's and am looking at installing in my series 1 s14 silvia. I don't have the correct loom for my car or any sensors and all of the looms I could find for sale are piggyback type designed for all f con models (FCON V PRO, FCON IS etc). Is it correct that if you run as a piggyback with the standard ECU you can still run MAF setup? Can you purchase a standalone type loom or is the piggback loom also used in this application just without connecting the standard ecu? I realise running standalone would require me to run the 3 Bar map sensor and I would probably run the optional temp sensor as well in this configuration. Cheers
  17. Soo cheap! I bought a set of 350z brembo calipers and 2 pairs of DBA rotors and Endless pads for my upgrade and it all adds up pretty quickly. Pretty much up to the same $$$ as what you're asking and they aren't even a straight bolt on affair, nor are the pads and rotors brand new If I hadn't already bought all of this I would definitely be buying this kit!! Good luck with the sale
  18. Does dry ice work in 34's guys? I know it works in 32's. Didn't work in my s15 as it had the fibrous type deadener. Is this not used in the newer skylines as well?
  19. Details? PM if necessary, waiting on quite an expensive order from them and was about to place another soon.
  20. Is this the one that was for sale from someone on the sunshine coast that was going overseas?
  21. Bump... will take $180 pickup for the pair
