Howdy everyone, I recently purchased a garrett gt28 turbo kit and new exhaust manifold from horsepowerinabox.com for my r33, my problem now is that my standard dump won't connect up to it being a T3 and the garrett being a T25 flange.... i'm wanting to purchase a whole new dump and front pipe in one preferably in 3" although now overly fussed and would be happy with just the dump area to connect up with a T25 flange and run the standard frontpipe.... there must be a few people out there with garrett turbos who have found the same problem... if so, could you please pass on the names of workshops or companies who make them and rough prices please..... Many Thanks

i think i would have to go the RX-7 series 8 over the R33 GT-R but definately not a reasonable example of a R34 GT-R.... something about the R34 for me personally that screams "FUN" and lots of it.... hope you have a great time deciding what to buy, it's a tough call though

Cheers guys, Already got the trans cooler under control and was looking at the front/dump pipe which is sold through ebay the 'flyn' one..... the intercooler is no problems i don't mind spending the bit extra and getting a complete bolt-on kit..... I don't know why you are both telling me to sell my safcII and rsm, yet keep the avc-r and get a aftermarket computer for the auto of which none are completely suited for the job... well from searches i've done on the site in the past everyone agrees there in not a auto aftermarket computer which can perform the job to the standard that it can on a manual vehicle... I'm not doing a conversion from auto to manual.... if i was going to do that i would have bought a manual in the first place?? Anyway, does anyone have an idea on where i can get carbon fibre bonnets in melbourne area, otherwise i'll just pay the extra freight costs and get it sent from UAS in sydney... Many Thanx

Howdy every1, Finally decided to spend a significant amount of money (for myself anyway) on the car and was needing advice on where to source the following parts [at the best price ofcourse] from melbourne area.... These are the parts i have currently: * 3" exhaust from cat * safcII * rsm * turbo timer * blitz high-flow panel filter * ebc green stuff race pads She's pretty stock as you can see... so looking for advice on parts, i have a fair list already in my head on what i'm doing to both increase hp, but also looks :headspin: It is a R33 s1 auto... parts i'm looking to buy are: *Either trust or hks fmic with piping (from nungen) *apexi avc-r (from nungen) *Carbon fibre bonnet like one sold through UAS... need to find supplier in Melb *Veilside rear bumper... need to find supplier in Melb * A workshop who can repair fibreglass (only minor), respray my front bar and also spray and fit the new rear bumper.... * Also interested in purchasing a new turbo, don't know heaps about the different models, want to make around 210-220kw atleast, any suggestions... had my eye on a hks gt2530 or gt2540 but don't know if there the best or not - must be quick spool.... any help would be great That's about it for the moment.... the other parts i know where to get them and at reasonable prices (eg. new front/dump pipe etc) - mostly concerned with the carbon bonnet and Veilside rear bumper Any help appreciated, Cheers

Just an update on my luck, went to Japo Donks today, they told me that they don't have any and infact they haven't wrecked a r33 skyline in the past few years so they wouldn't have any parts, don't know how you got one?... then went to the other jap wreckers around the corner and he was bloody useless, so i'm stuck back now in the same place as before with no-one to contact...... any help would be greatly appreciated :headspin:

would also be interested in this if someone could post a tutorial on this

hey guys, just a quick answer to shed some light on whether they can be used for anything else.... i wanted to hook some under seat neons up to them which would have been controlled by a switch on the dash, but before buying the neons i tested the currency of the plugs with a multimeter and found that there was less then 0.20volts going through, therefore there was not even 1volt going through, so i gave upon the idea of using them for neons..... i'm not saying i'm right, as it could just be my car, so can anyone else here test them as well to see whether u get the same results, as i really wanted to use them for some neons, perfect spot and all , many thanks (interested to hear results now!!!!)

safc2 installation wiring help!!!
skysaresilver replied to skysaresilver's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah i already had the wiring manual from apexi usa, and just went to megala's website but couldn't find the ecu map anywhere, anyhow i think the main problem is that the wiring manual from apexi usa is for the safc - i want the wiring for the safc2 and according to the japanese manual when i compare both (N4-a) ecu pin diagrams, the japanese one has 7 sections marked that i have the solder (8 wires - 2ground), while on the safc diagram from america for the original you only have to use (6 wires) and all of them don't match the diagram provided in the japanese manual......... me so confused..... can someone just answer the first question that i posted in plain english, such as what goes where starting from the top left row and work down to the bottom right, that was i know i will get it right for sure!!! many thanks -
trying to install a safc2 into my series 1 r33gts-t with little success in working out where each wire goes ( i have finally worked out what each wire is......) green = rpm signal red = ig power brown = ground black = ground grey = throttle purple = knock sensor yellow = air/pressure signal OUT white = air/pressure signal IN my main problem lies in the diagram in the japanese instructions - (N4-a) - i cannot figure out where exactly each wire must go..... i will have a go, going from left to right, from the top row of pins and working down to the lower set of pins and hopefully someone can tell me whether i'm on the right track or not, the first is the RPM (green), then knock sensor (purple), then a/p OUT (yellow), then a/p IN (white), then throttle (grey), then IG power (red) and finally both ground (black and brown). can someone please help me out - have read all threads on this i can find but still need to be 100% sure before i do this tomorrow. many thanks

Hybrid Intercooler kit for R32, R33, R34 $1100 UPDATED!!!
skysaresilver replied to Jet's topic in Group Buys
how far away were u thinking of doing the group buy jet cause i'm seriously interested, but a little strapped for cash, may have enough in about 4-5 weeks though cheers -
hey guys, just got a brand new safc2 the other week and i'm wanting to install it myself, but cannot read japanese (funny that)... does anyone know of a website (tried apexi usa - no help as they only have the original safc documentation) or can help tell me where what wire needs to go where into the ecu, i already know what ecu i have and where each needs to be wired up, i'm just stuck on the actual wires from the unit and what each colour represents in relation to where it goes in the ecu..... i have sourced out this much sofar by myself can someone tell me whether i'm on the right track or not.... my ecu is N4-a - (1994 R33 gts-t series 1) of the six wires i understand that need to be wired up..... RED = IG Power GREEN = RPM signal BLACK = Ground YELLOW = Airflow/Pressure Signal OUTPUT WHITE = Airflow/Pressure Signal INPUT BROWN = ??? on the ecu diagram it has RPM Signal, Ground, Airflow Signal, Throttle Signal and IG Power - (so that's only 5 connections and from what i understand i have one connection going nowhere, one too many airflow/pressure signals and no throttle signal... many thanks (now i'm really confused - just didn't think i should stuff something up which has to be connected to the ecu).:uh-huh:

What the best car alarm system for R33 GTST?
skysaresilver replied to howhow82's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Brant Nemesis cost me $1098 installed in melbourne - got some other features put on whilst i was having the alarm installed so it cost me a few hundred $$$ more. The extra features aren't really necessacity items (eg. window-up) but they sure look cool -

the nemesis model, there is no problems with turbo timers, cause within the keypad control there is a feature which can be turned on/off for turbo timer feature - as far as i know there is no auto start feature but as i've read from other people with it on the forums it's a novelty thing and lasts about a week - bit like my auto feature for the windows i guess (forget i got it installed and almost always put the windows up myself!!!) yeah it's A.N.G.I. technologies, lolz -

skysaresilver replied to drunkentiger's topic in General Automotive Discussion
ok firstly - u can get the auto features added to the alarm like i did but they are extra - i think the auto windows up feature was something like 148 dollars for both windows - the nemesis itself was 1098 installed haha, angi - that's the name of the company that does the installation in melbourne and the person who runs it is called funnily enough angi - but if u wanted to get in contact with the sydney one these are their contact info. SYDNEY Head Office Brant Corporation P/L 69 Great North Rd Five Dock NSW 2046 PO Box 301 Haberfield NSW 2045 Ph: (02)9712-5522 Fax: (02)9712-5008 Email: [email protected] all info above was for a series 1, r33 but i can't see the amount changing at all -

skysaresilver replied to drunkentiger's topic in General Automotive Discussion
hey aZn_RoMeO, what i found with the brant car alarm, is that it provided a "piece of mind" that none of the other car alarms that i could find did.... pretty much the only way that they can steal this car and the company has said this as well is if someone has a forklift thing and physically lifts the car from wherever u left it onto a flat-tray truck and then move the car away - but even then they will have a hell of a job to either get the car started or workout how the alarm functions as it's all in black wiring (so what u say - i can get this from strathfield or wherever) but if any wires are cut the car is dead - 6 point engine protection - it's got ultrasonics + incar sensors, passive rearming (it really is as well!!!) and if the battery is disconnected as i found out last week then the only way to stop the siren's is to enter the master code into the pinpad ( + along with all the normal features of a car alarm). here are the features from their website on the nemesis: Features – Remote codehopping operation + BRANTS famous PIN code entry system Six (6) engine immobilisers Dual siren system (one self powered siren outside – one inside) Ultrasonic movement detectors + 2 stage impact shock sensors Keyless entry Electric window operation (option) Remote panic Passive immobilisation Auto rearm in case of accidental switch off False alarm lockout Detects intrusion via doors, boot/hatch, bonnet, windows, sunroof + immobilises the engine in 6 places. And much more… look, i'm in no-way affiliated with them, and personally the cost that are associated with it are pretty high, but for me it way the peace of mind factor of making theft of my precious skyline 0% (as close as possible to it anyway) - i think the costs are something around the $1000 - $1100 mark for the nemesis - but if u think u don't need all that protection, then go for one of the simplier models, (and i think, but don't quote me on this, that these can be upgraded by adding extra components later to make a nemesis model). i hope this helps, but if your in melbourne give angi a call and have a chat to her, very good and always willing to help even after i bought the alarm - otherwise i'm pretty sure there is an outlet in every state....
