ok well the temperature gauge has been the same as always, but I guess can't really trust that.. would be better off having an aftermarket temp gauge. but hm, what is the piece in the center of the clutch fan (assuming this is the big one with white fins and used to hit my fmic piping ahha)..? cause It seems the noise is coming from there.. is it possible to replace that bit or you would need to replace the entire fan? Im not sure if that would explain why there was a burning rubbery smell from there aswell..

I can suss out that it cannot be the alternator in my situation, as it hasn't been more than 10,000km I got it replaced. I didnt see any smoke coming from the CAS or timing cover so hmm.. I think Ill give the clutchfan or waterpump a go at replacing What are the effects of a waterpump going?

well I'm going to get another clutch fan and the center bit of the fan, and also another waterpump to replace it.. I hope it fixes it does yours still make noises? and smell?

mate I got exactly the same problem a weird rubbery burning smell followed by some screeching/whining coming from around the alternator/fan area I am thinking its the waterpump but i'm not too sure did you manage to find out what yours was?

sorry to bring up a old thread but i've found my clutch fan seems to be on the way out? its making a slight screeching sound.. would replacing the clutch fan with another one solve this issue? does anyone have a guide as to how to replace the clutch fan?

edit i just started it up again and it makes the screechin sound from when you start it so i moved the car a bit and it sounds definately like a belt but the two belts ive got are both fairly tight, maybe too tight? should there be any play within the belt?

hi today driving home i noticed my car smelling a bit odd like a rubbery burning smell and i've checked all the belts and they seem fine, like none loose.. so i let my car idle a bit more and it sounds a bit weird then i get a screeching sound and the idle changes again, then the screech sound goes and idle goes back to normal.. and continuining to get an odd rubbery smell coming from around the radiator anyone know what could be the problem? the belts seem fine so i'm not sure what else to check? any advice would be appreciated thanks

yer they are new one of the workers there is on silviawa and doing heaps of their cars for PAS so im pretty sure youd be able to see their work there on show

well on jap.com.au it says that speed dreamz is the WA dealer. so it seems as id have to deal with them and not from gforce? im kinda confused as someone told me gforce and speed dreamz have nothing to do with each other.. hrm.. postage would cost more from gforce aswell so i would have to go through speed dreamz yet they suck bigtime but i still want to buy a vertex kit

yep everyone I ask has the same problem with speed dreamz they emailed me saying 7 days transmit time to perth but my mate says 70 days+ lol so looks like I might try gforce... or anyone know a good place to get vertex r32 front and rear bar from? sent to perth...

hi guys just wondering if anyone has bought kits from this place? i'm looking at getting a full vertex style kit from them got an email saying he will send me one to perth but im just questioning to if they are reliable cause ive read alot of different say good things about them that kits come within a few weeks, and they fit, other people say the kits never arrived, dont fit, etc.. anyone mind sharing some info?

i've got a gtr style front bumper made from eastbear which fits my gtst. but its cracked so im looking to replace it with a proper gtr style with the n1 holes and also the smaller numberplate holder so i can sidemount the numberplate the best one i found so far is from jetspeed.com.au... anyone got any other ideas where i could get a bar from? 180mph, im suprised your genuine gtr front bar fits your gts-t? do you have a r32 gtr intrusion bar aswell? what else did you do to make it fit?

mitchy i borrowed my mates one for a week and havnt had problems only overfuelling when i was smashing it at 7000rpm car ran bit of a slug fouled the plugs.. it will smash your cat into pieces so you may want to gut it first.. its 4 wires to the ecu i think from memory... ground, power, cas sensor 180 and 1 heres a video of my car with bee-r.. http://video.tinypic.com/player.php?v=23r4ftd it surely sparked some complaints from the neighbours hahahaha
