  1. oh great cheers guys, i was gonna say it deff aint oil pressure cos that still works and my R34 doesnt have a oil temp gauge. no stresss then. regards Chris
  2. Hi guys, could any 1 please be able to identify what the sensor does on the side of oil cooler from my R34 GTT. i never re fitted the oil cooler when i built my RB30/25. the car seems to run fine with out tho. regards chris
  3. I can't wait till August 1 11.45 am. I get to go around the ring in a GTR......... it aint gonna have shit on that thing tho!!!
  4. Hey ppl, another vote for Jim's clutchs. He rebuilt my Nismo single plate to 3200lb's with an organic plate. It is no heavier then it was originally and it's great on the street. regards Chris
  5. The cops in Bunbury followed me every were i went when i drove down for the Collie "one night stand" maybe Northam or Lanno is an option
  6. ur a very bad influence on me Bubba, 135k's and counting lol
  7. Not yet mate, 36k's on the clock and its painfull I just wanna give it some Revs damn it. It's booked in for a quick run in tune on tuesday then I wont have to fear about leaning it over 3-4krpm. Josh DO IT, it has so much torque every where compared to the Rb25 with a hiflow. I mean 3rd gear 2krpm from walking pace tractored straight up a damn steep hill. chris
  8. Stao, I finally got my Rb30 running with your GT3576 and it feels very strong. even know I haven't taken it over 4k RPM. I can't wait to finish running this motor in so I can wind the boost into it. regards Chris
  9. Hey Bubba, cheers for the offer I may take you up on that at a later point. Yes I slotted and rewelded the engine mounts to the max. I'm still using the T/C throttle body but it has no butterfly fitted. It didn't end up hitting the throttle body it self but the rubber sleeve between the throttle body and the cast aluminum pipe that the BOV mounts to. what I ended up doing is cutting a small slot out of the bonnet to clear the joiner/throttle body. Then took a ball peen hammer to the crappy Just jap IC pipe that runs accross the radiator. as it was clashing with the CAS sensor. the piping looks like crap but its good enough to get the car running on and i'll get a replacement bent up later as i have well and truly used up all the goodwill with borrowing my mothers car. A simpler fix would have been to use a R33 throttle body and get a pipe bent up to replace the cast ally peice. regards chris
  10. My Bonnet wont shut damn it!!!!!! the R34 bonnet height must be slightly different to the R33 When using a stock manifold as it is hitting on the BOV flange. I redrilled the engine mounts as per the manual but it still isn't quite low enough. It just gets on the 1st click of the bonnet latch, So I will try washers on the bonnet hinge and or chop the top lip off the BOV flange and re tap a bolt in lower. I'll let you know what I do to get around the height problem, but a Greddy plenum would have been the easiest solution while the motor is out. Chris
  11. Hi Josh, I used a turbo Rb30 block, at this stage its running but i haven't driven the car yet so I'm a little unsure. the head was the Rb25 Neo head that came in my R34. i used Hi comp ACL/Ross pistons on balanced stock RB30 rods and a fully balanced motor and fully reconed head with stock cams. I'm not aiming for a dyno queen, as only about 400hp is expected so i never went overboard with expensive jap brand parts. although i still don't have any change from $6k with me doing all the labour. regards chris
  12. Hi Josh, i didn't need to do alot of things and I'm running the stock intake. i re drilled the engine mounts, welded the oil VCT oil gallery, rounted an external oil feed to the VCT gallery and rebuilt the motor. not that complicated at all. regards Chris
  13. Hey Bubba, don't worry mate I got 3 sets of stockys lined up. 1 set for every month the car has been off the road. you must have a whole warehouse of tyres lined up lol. I'm wiring it all up tonight/tomm, then trailering it to Malaga on thursday for a new dump and intake. then i can finally start it and tune it. I'm praying for no oil and water leaks. regards Chris
  14. Yes it's possible, i finally dropped mine in today. I cant wait to start it!!!!!
  15. not 100% correct, its hard to find good staino welders in the retail industry. Try Proserve in Malaga if the work you want done needs to be PRETTY. my work uses them when we need tanks fabbed and they need to look like perfection. on a side note you will end up paying for the quality too. regards Chris
  16. cheers Titan, yeah i already have a filter relocation kit from my 25. as changing the filter was incredibly frustrating when changing it from below the car. (dam gas convertor and all the electronics are mounted directly above the filter). which brings me to another problem. my LPG kit hasn't got a hope in hell keeping up with my new setup. regards Chris
  17. 200, sounds like a great idea mate, esp some of the info in regards to 33 VCT and 34 NEO heads. I.E modding the 33 VCT brass plug on the head for the oil supply. but u still need to run an external oil line to a Neo head if the VCT is to be retained. the oil sender thread is 1/8bsp little things like that would save a huge amount of time. on a seperate note, does any 1 bother reinstalling the oil/water cooler when they do the conversion? it looks so useless im tempted to leave it off my neo/30. regards Chris
  18. HEY GT this is for you mate, picture this. sitting on the swan river in a tube, with a carton of corona's rocking out to the radio in the boat with fireworks going off above you. God i love this country too. Make all of us Aussys proud. regards Chris
  19. i'm from bellevue/helena valley and it wasn't me luckily (23yo also) my boss came running in to see if i had come into work this morning. only other skyline i know of is another silver R34 4dr (like mine) condolances to the family.

  21. Like birds said, its really nothing to do with HP its the torque thats needed in a boat to get the boat on "plane". My familys ski boat has a common as muck 350 chev. at WOT it cant rev past 4.1k Rpm because the cams are focused on low down torque to pull a couple of skiiers out of the water. i would imagion that small turbo motor may go faster once it actually got moving but i doubt it would ever get a 1.5t ski boat + 4 ski biscuits up on plane. well deffinitly not in a prop driven boat any way.
  22. Hi Jason, did you ever pull that ball bearing thing out? I'm about to tackle this converson on my car also. stupidly i have always assumed that Neo heads were the same as the VVT R33 heads. ooooops Regards Chris
  23. what about some thing like my 1min paint sketch. I was thinking along these lines for my R34 if you used some decent riggin screw you put it in the car in 2 parts easily then tighten it correctly. although it would look preety agricultural, but certainly would work. regards Chris
  24. is the waste gate jammed open? can you hear any random vacume leaks?
