  1. Hey URAS, let me know how you go with your kit. as i was originaly planning to do a GB once i had all the bugs ironed out (hence my PM the other day) but if you end up selling them for a good price there will be no advantage to doing the work my self. another thing i noticed is that the old EF falcon 4L are a cheap way to get EV1 injector plugs. siemens deka injectors = EV6 injector with EV1 plug neo RB25 injectors = EV6 injector with nippon denso plug falcon 4l = ev6 with ev1 plug falcon v8 = ev6 with ev6 plug regards Chris
  2. and u think a 33 is heavy......... try 34 with a stereo lol
  3. what i would do since u obviously know were the owner of the car lives. get $500 in cold hard cash. walk up to there front door, tell them heres $500, now tell the insurance company u no longer want the car repaired. most ppl i know would take the $500 if its waved in front of there nose. thats what we did when my sister hit a sh*t box old honda city. regards Chris
  4. hey i have done it, make sure u go real heavy welding cable. the only hard bit is gettting the cable through the firewall nicely. other then that, its pretty straight forward. regards chris
  5. no updates, but certainly is happening
  6. I too had that problem on my R34 sedan, after changing the filter twice from below (up between the block and suspension) I decided a remote oil filter was worth every penny. I boot mounted the battery, mounted catch can, oil filter and now have room for a 2nd convertor all with in the battery spot for when my new custom gas fuel rails are made up. P.s i have since learnt that 200RWKW is the max for 6 injectors WITH STANDARD PRINS FUEL RAILS. the rail is the limiting factor. my gas setup paid for it self very quickly, although i do have a very heavy right foot. regards Chris
  7. You sir are a Dingis for using the word Dingis. LOL I am very confused at why u think this is such a stupid non thought out project. Was it the part where I'm going to use cheap common injectors or the part were i asked if Neo and non Neo's had the same spacing between injectors. Whether they be top feed or side feed is irrelevant. Please explain where I have gone very very wrong? regards Chris
  8. Hey ppl's I'm still working on this little project. just waiting on a bit of cashola to come through. can any 1 confirm if Neo Rb25 heads have the same injector spacing and mounting positions as a non NEO RB25 head? also do R33's run the same style stock FPR. as i want to retain the stock FPR? regards Chris
  9. yeah im just gonna make up a jig and mock it up with som dead ford injectors....... if it works i'll let you all know and possible make a few spare rails to cover what it costs.
  10. i understand what both of you are saying. what i'm trying here is to work a nice cheap simple upgrade. due to R34 injectors being top feed and also the long pencil style it makes upgrades that touch more limited and expensive. If these seimens injectors work with out much trouble it will also mean that FORD MOTOR SPORTS injectors (come in the typhoons), BOSCH 968's (cheap common upgrades for XR6T's) and generally alot of other cheap oem common parts can be thrown in. some times we need to think out of the box or we forever will just be screwed over with limited choices chris
  11. use good old Metho then? thats what dad used to run
  12. see i herd a strange little rummer that it was more of a forced retirement. something along the lines of punching a jack daniels rep and they pulled the plug. or this could be just a vicious rumor. either way check mate
  13. I think i'm just going to have to mill some hollow or hex bar to suit the 14mm injectors. that is once i get a spare plenum and fuel rail and dead injector to mock up and jig. any 1 want to donate 1? regards Chris
  14. back in the day.(20 years ago) my father built a steam injection setup for his Fj40 v8 land cruiser. i think he made up a water jacket around 1 of the extractors. i can't remember exactly how it worked. but it used to form ice all over the carby's. i'll try to remember to ask him and take a photo of his set up as its sitting in a cupboard in the shed. (the old boy struggles to throw any thing away) its preety crude and ghetto looking but it obviously worked. regards chris
  15. but there $1200, id rather spend 500 personaly
  16. hey the plugs dont really matter too much from what i have noticed as u can buy pigtails to convert or replace completely. yeah these injectors are a 14mm inlet. no idea what the stock inlet is or the total length. ps i don't wanna pull all the gas injection crap off to get to the petrol 1's untill i really need to. i mean u can pick up a set of seimens injectors for $450. i read some were that a spacer is all that is needed to fit them, but this doesn't sound correct to me. http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/images/MO...imensions_a.JPG http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/images/MO...imensions_b.JPG full copy and paste Genuine Siemens / Mototron DEKA IV High Impedance Injectors These injectors flow 60 lbs/hr at 43.5 PSI ( 3 BAR ) and up to 85 lbs/hr at 87 PSI! In addition, these units are high-impedance. Despite the high flow rate, they are linear and controllable at low pulse widths and have been used in ULEV applications! This allows you to use a larger injector than normally possible without hurting idle and low speed driveability. Adding to the flexibility of application, these units are high-impedance; making them compatible with most ECUs, while delivering the most flow available in a High-Impedance injector. These injectors are able to function at high fuel pressures and don't exhibit the high fuel pressure handling problems found with many other high flow high-impedance injectors. This makes these injectors very well suited to turbocharged and supercharged applications that see high fuel system pressures. Engine performance and running quality are enhanced through the optimized spray pattern. Unlike competitors "pencil stream" high flow injectors; these High Flow injectors utilize a multi-orifice tip providing a true 30 degree spray pattern for improved mixture preparation. This results in lower BSFC and better idle quality than many injectors with less flow. 17. hello Just a quick question, does any 1 know if the R34 neo injectors use an EV1 or EV6 style connector? lastly can any 1 confirm if a a stock injector has these dimensions inlet (top) to suit 13.5MM fuel rail (when o ring is compresed) bottom to suit 14MM intake ( outside OD of Oring =15mm when not installed or compressed) total length of injector 74.8MM i am planning to use a siemens deka 610cc injector if all works, as there cheap and commonly used in XR6 turbo's (BF's) Regards Chris
  18. Sounds very nice mate, what do you estimate roughly you would have spent to get it to this point? 5k or less or more? regards chris
  19. if there in the car, get a mate to stand behind as u dump the clutch see if both spin. if there not lock 1 side with a big peice of pipe and try spin the other side
  20. I got pulled over the other day, after i pulled out in front of a car not realising how fast they were going and then tramped it. Luckily the cops were really good, 1 of the 1st things the cop says to me is- cop" do you know your plates are coming up as a white Ute" (its a silver R34) me " thats very odd i had white honda b4 this car, i wonder if its getting confused with the blue statesman with "DURTY" NSW plates that tried to buy my "DURTY" WA plates" Cop "well thats odd, oh and u forgot to take off the LPG sticker off" me "it is on LPG" cop "wow, well it couldn't be a turbo then" me "yeah its a turbo" cop "wow well i always thought that wasn't possible, u learn something new" "please blow into this, oh and remember to give way next time" me " Ballajura Cops are tops" best ever, the two cops were walking around my car checking it out as in like "nice car" not looking for defects which was the biggest shock ever. now I'm destined to get pulled over again and get a cop at the other end of the spectrum. regards chris
  21. i can't see why u would bother attempting unless u had about 10 mates there. moving our ski boat on solid rails is a mission when its out of the water, let alone pulling the boat on to the trailer from the ground. the winch would destroy it self before u got it on any way. regards
  22. omfg? i would have cryed unless i knew it was gonna be written off. i mean through work a Franna cost's me $155 per hour i know which 1 would cost less in the long run, re gel coating or getting a franna. i mean to get it back off the truck would do more damage then dragging it on. tards
  23. ouch, knowing how much our ski boat weights, he would need a small 15T franna and a heap of soft slings to get that back on lol. who ever didn't check the winch chain would be getting punched out i reckon.
  24. check out the Maytech drift car's, they run a water to air setup. I'm sure if u contacted MRMAYHEM I'm sure he could give u some specs on his setup. regards chris
  25. 666dan did u ever find the answer to this ? as i have been thinking along the same lines aswell
