http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...html&hl=lpg 5k to install full custom jobby, best thing i ever did to my R34. around 300rwKW is the max flow you can get out of a LPG tank so if your chasing more then that stick with petrol.
-
HEY GUYS, My R34 is injected, iv maxed out my 6 injectors at 250rwhp so to get to the majical 300rwkw mark i would have to go to 12 injectors and 2 gas convertors. the gas injectors can flow alot more IF you run them on custom fuel rails. as the standard Keihin 1's are a major bottle neck. regards chris

Fitting A Supercharger To A V35
urtwhistle replied to matt smith's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
if possible look at a m112 off a jag v8. they come with two big water to air intercoolers. i herd of a guy who fitted 1 to a 1UZ-fe. -
Hyperdrive are a bunch of great guys. i like a shop that can give me a honest answer and will tell me if im wasting my money instead of just taking it. they saved me alot of money once by giving me some good advice which could have got them alot of business. in the long run there honesty will earn them alot more from me. regards chris

what they mean is you need an ACC# approach a local company with an account, get them to put it on there account and give them $100 or a carton on top of the freight fee. regards chris

the cheapest i know of is JAYDE transport, (i'm in charge of a warehouse) next would be Toll. but cheaper still is to ring a few east-west trucking companys and see if they got any trucks going with only half a load or no load, there usualy very happy to do things like this becuase it offsets there fuel cost when there not carting any thing esp if ur not in a hurry regards chris
-
well my cus's evo3 does 12.2's with 250rwkw and i got 12.6 in it my first shot so if the person was like a pro driver it COULD be possible

Hi SK, just wanting to know if this group buy is still possible? regards chris

I Fiddled With My Car And It Went Snap Crackle And Pop
urtwhistle replied to urtwhistle's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hahaha yeah, normaly I'm very good with electronics, last night my brain may as well have fallen completly out of my head. the real problem at the moment is TIME, i wake up and its dark then come home and its dark. so i start work on the car using a flood light and in typical fashion you rush because you just want it finished and thats when problems like this happen. and yes i do have an immobilizer i completly forgot about that, that should have some sort of fuse or jumper that i haven't thought to check. well i'll keep ya posted and if that fails to the Auto Sparky she goes and they can finish the boot mount while there at it. cheers all chris -

hmmm if you could point me in the direction of a schematics id be forever gratefull as the only 1 i can find costs about 600 and its in JAP. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...html&hl=lpg to my knoledge there is 2 skylines and 1 stagea in aus running gas, but mine is the only dual fueled 1 iv checked the fusible links but will have to just keep working back from the main fuse box i spose. i was thinking of unplugging all un nessacary fuses and slowly trying to eliminate the problem i checked the ecu and there doen't appear to be any funny smells or burn marks so thats a good sign. im justing trying to find the problem now. im thinking once i get the car running i will just send the car into a auto sparky and get the battery boot mounted professionaly. how does every 1 else run the cables to the stock pos? through the car or under the car? regards chris -
I Fiddled With My Car And It Went Snap Crackle And Pop

Hi Geetr, yeah its injected gas, runs great. yeah i have the hand controller but nothing is getting power. yeah i got 10m enought to do 2 runs i just wanted to see IF it would work with 1. Nah i bought the car with the powerFC already in it so i don't have a spare. Ozone ummmmmmmm not that i can think of why would i??? i was more wondering once the power goes into the fuse box were does it go to next? like computer - ignition then starter motor or vice versa or an ignition module. yeah i think i bit off more then i could chew LOL but seriously after tonight i am sooo over trying to make this greddy plenum fit. regards chris -
Hello, im hoping some 1 out there might be able to point me in the right direction. i was fiddling with my car tonight checking to see if the cable i bought to boot mount my battery was heavy enough. so i hooked up about a 4m peice of 4g cable to the positive on the battery ran it to were they normaly hook up on the cables (yeah i know now it aint heavy enough now) the car chugged away then started. i turned the car off then went to start it again. it went snap crackle and pop. from that sec onwards it had no power to any thing in the car. i checked the fuses under the dash and under the bonnet aswell as the fusible links. none were blowen. i then un hooked the cable hooked it up like normal but still no power to the ignition. the car is a R34 GTT mods stock motor on LPG with a powerFC please tell me i havent fried the pfc were does the power go from once it enters the main fuse box? any help will be greatly appreciated and i may even contemplate giving you my greddy copy manifold if i dont throw it through the windscreen of my car first that is. regards chris

to further your point about the guy in the navy supplying the honey-comb. that stuff is made by a company in Bayswater WA on #29 Clune St next to AHD. i forgot the name of the company but i used to work next door to them. they make it for wall panaling and super lightweight high strength interiors for boats. there ya best bet. regards chris
-
ok now saying all that. has any 1 got any pics of a cooling pro type 2 kit fitted to a er34??? i got 1 but it isn't fitted and i wanna see how others have fitted it. then i know how im gonna mod it for my front facing plenum.
-
ps traction control is actualy realy good if you grind the butterfly down a bit, then it wont let you spin the wheels but also wont let you stall it when you do a 5k clutch dump. i did a thread on how to make it work if you wanna search for it.
-
well i'll let you know, i was thinking of taking my throttle body into work and chopping it in half. then remote mounting the traction control half of the body about a foot down the intake pipe like just after the bend. it should work pretty easy since its such a simple design, because all it does is create a restriction in the intake. it should make piping alot easier since it would be like installing a r33 throttle body but retaining traction control. Im also going to make adaptor plate for the aac valve so if it works i'll post a cad drawing or a stencil. you see I'm a cheap ass and i work for an engineering company that will do all my welding and fabby work for free..................... go me lol also are the 3 flanges on the bottom for the water, are they the same on the r34??? regards chris
-
hey URAS did you use a R33 AAC valve instead of the R34??? i was thinking i might just cut a peice of small peice of plate and screw that to the plenum and then screw the r34 ACC to the plate. might be easier.
-
B4 my R34 i had a VTI Accord which was dumped on its ass. i still miss that car. it wasn't fast but damn it was comfy to drive....... it never broke. i had 1 thing go wrong on it in 2 years and thats cos i shorted out the whole ignittion circuit. ps i hate to say it but Honda build quality is about 10x 1.03^89 better. but hey u need to figure do you wanna have a slow NA car and have every 1 say"why didn't you buy the turbo model" or dam your goes damn well for a little 2L.
-
Hey if they are odd sizes why dont you just bore them out and fit them with common Hydraulics fittings and couplings, alot easier and cheaper then oddball imports
-
yeah couplers in Malaga FTW
-
hey fella's damn thats an old thread, why would you not build 1 now? are r34 turbo's the same as vg30 turbo's? i want more power for 300 bucks damnit

Traction Control Modification
urtwhistle replied to urtwhistle's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hello, i took my car to the QUIT MOTORPLEX and did a few runs. it was just way tooo hot realy. but what i found was if dropped the cluth at 3k and then stomped on the throttle i was getting damn good launchs nearly every time. too low and it would bog tooo high and the traction controll would have a fit like normal but 3-3.5krpm seemed good. now i just gotta figure out why it axle tramps sooo bad. regards chris p.s go the fastest ghetto duel fueled skyline in perth -
Traction Control Modification
urtwhistle replied to urtwhistle's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
hey, yeah i know being a better driver would be even better buttttttttttttttttttttttttt I'm not lol. all i wanted was the the Traction control to be like 80% effective not 100% just enough to get the wheels to squeel but not light up. you can still feel the power dropping off but its got alot more response getting off the mark. in cartmans words " IN THE GHETTO" REGARDS CHRIS
