i have a similar problem... the flap on my hu sometimes will not go down... i need to check the earth as i think it can also effect the head unit...

i disagree... i have a genuine HKS split dump (which is not split for 30cm) and a 3" blitz front pipe and the difference the made was huge... at the end of the day though, the standard dump pipe is a p.o.s... and any of the aftermarket dump / front pipes will benefit your car... oh yeah if you are changing the dump / front pipe a high flow cat is a must imho...

i have a 3" turbo back and difference it made over the stock system was sensational... i don't know if the extra 1/2" will make a huge difference...

mine lasted a year after my car was powered up to 180rwkw... car had difficulties taking off particularly going up hills... there would be revs, smell but not much go... -

cracked manifold and performance??

yeah it does affect the perfomance... my ex manifold cracked in half (progressivley over 6 months) once i got it replaced (with another stock unit) the power difference was huge... the symptoms i had were power loss and exhaust fumes under the bonnet...
