  1. Made 206rwkw on 10psi. Making about 10% more torque than my old 220rwkw RB20 with GCG highflow, so taking a simple guess, it's making similar torque to a 240rwkw RB20
  2. Is that suitable while the little fella's around?
  3. No worries mate.
  4. I couldn't help but laugh at this comment Erase the top 11 cars and Webber is World Champion!
  5. I'll be there, finally got my car running and tuned Take pics of MEEEEEE, haha, will be first time out to the track since G1 rd 2... Shouldn't have to clutch like crazy with the RB30 now
  6. Just had it tuned this morning New RB30DET RB30DET (black) vs RB20DET with GCG highflow (red) 206rwkw on 10psi. Keeping it real safe and dont need much boost to make power and make the car move. Clearly shown by the comparison with the RB20 + GCG highflow torque curves. Basically, it's like an NA car to drive now, put your foot down and it goes, at almost any RPM, except for maybe under 1500...
  7. Sorry, no Evos! This is payback for last time you didn't let people with GTS-ts drive. HA! Think I'm not gonna drive this time, better take it easy with the new engine for a while first.
  8. I would go much less camber than that. Around 3deg front and bit under 2deg rear. As for dynamic camber, the rate at which it increases really should be greater if the car is lower, so I dont think that's the problem for insufficient camber. Do you know the actual amount of static camber you have at the moment?
  9. The only difference I can spot is that those ones dont have the knurling on the face of the crush tube, so those ones have a higher chance of slipping under load.
  10. My RB30DET is running!!!! Wooooo! 3months to the day that I blew my RB20. There ya go, my useless contribution to this thread
  11. No where near Drift days are just heaps popular cos it's the "cool" thing to do now... Yes I realise how hypocritical that is because I do drift myself...
  12. Good news! (for me) My car is running!!! It'll be on the dyno on Wednesday getting tuned, then will do brakes in the following two days and I cant see why I wont be out there driving on Saturday to try break the new motor
  13. From what I've seen, the Cusco arms state that they're X amount longer or shorter, my guess is you bought arms that say -5mm shorter? Just a guess anyway. Lowering the CoG should be done in conjunction with raising the roll centre as lowering the car changes the geometry and your roll centre actually falls faster than your CoG, leaving you with more roll. What are your spring rates at the moment? If you do get the shocks revalved too, try a bit more low speed bump in them too
  14. IT LIVES!!!! Will be getting it tuned on Wednesday and straight out to Mallala on Saturday to have a crack at pulling a 1:22 Farkin amazing to drive so far, so much pull from down low!
  15. It also says he's making 600ps on a HKS GT2835 (GT3071R)
  16. Go to a wrecker and see if they'll part with them off a blown motor or something. I took all the fittings off my old blown motor and just whacked them on. They may even give them to you for free!
  17. Excellent! This is starting to look like it may be a good turn out now More playing with my car today, if it's not running properly today, I wont be driving it on Saturday, if it is, there's a slim chance that I will be driving
  18. It depends on the RB20, it seems that the older ones use different size water banjo fittings. Most of them seem to be the same size though. Just check your RB20 ones though, if the heads for water lines are 24mm, then you're fine, if they're 22mm, you'll need the lines and banjo bolts with the new turbo. You also need compressor outlet pipe (elbow) from the RB25 turbo. Besides that, everything else is bolt on. Have a search for more info, it's been covered a fair bit
  19. Sinista, you're still marked down as coming, so dont wag it!
  20. Good on ya Mobies Yeah, you got the prices right. Who cares if no one else is driving, hell, give me the car and I'll gladly drive it
  21. Engine came with everything, complete long motor, with loom, ECU etc. Had to use my old RB20 exhaust manifold, harmonic balancer, p/s pump, alternator, a/c. Slapped on RB25 turbo oil pump and a freshly cleaned out sump. Valve springs - uprated stuff from Performance Springs in QLD Turbo - RB25 turbo with VG30 rear housing. Got a blow VG30 turbo for free from Ryan (Kansai), cheers bloke Gearbox - RB25 Slave cylinder - stock Nissan item Clutch - Exedy 3puck sports ceramic Tailshaft mod - R33 yoke onto R32 tailshaft. Engine mounts - cut and shut, motor sits about 30mm lower now. Dump pipe - cut and shut to sit about 10mm further down.
  22. My best guess is, someone stuck it up there on the end of a pole in an attempt to clean stuff, and then lost it up there and thought, "Oh shit, better flog it off". Ohwell, it SHOULD be all good after we pull the sump off tomorrow. Good news is, there's no smoke, just rags in the oil...
  23. Your ride height will not change noticably if you get the right size tyre. Stock size is 225/50R16, with a rolling radius of 315.7mm. A 225/40R18 has a rolling radius of 318.6mm. A 255/35R18 has a rolling radius of 317.8mm. So you can see, by picking the right size tyre (one of those two preferably), your ride height changes bugger all, <3mm. Could you pick that by eye? I sure couldn't
  24. If it makes you feel any better, my motor is full of a sponge like material... Gotta rip the sump off tomorrow to try get all the crap out! Must've been lodged in the oil galleries by the previous owner, and now it's happily worked its way through my whole motor, how lovely
