  1. He's just helping out with ideas, we're still the ones that decide what happens. Definitely no RB20 only, more like RB30 only!
  2. AAC valve, TPS and ignitor sold
  3. Troy is one of the SAU-VIC club Execs. We've asked him how to go about setting this whole thing but as we'd like to run it like SAU-VIC as they seem to be doing very well I guess we forgot to mention that before...
  4. Yep, Troy's getting back to us end of the week or so, so we should have some updates for you guys then
  5. Well the 15 min (1 warm up lap, 8 flying laps and 1 cool down lap) sessions at Mallala would see me getting through just under 1/4 of a tank. Around the 1/3 left in the tank mark, I started getting fuel surge, that's with my 040 mounted right at the bottom of the tank and brand new fuel filter and injectors.
  6. Aww, if only this was Int Gate.. Would've snapped it up
  7. I'm trying! Finally got my head back, so putting engine back together soon. Wont make G1 but will be out at a grip practice on Oct 27th for my first lot of hard driving since G1 rd 2! Next time drifting will probably be Dec Day prac cos I'm too cheap to pay for drift school Dunno if I'll be able to keep up with Simon and Hayden anymore... Was struggling before!
  8. The main thing you have to worry about at a circuit day is cooling, namely engine and brakes. For a heavy GTR, I'd say brakes are quite up there on the list of priorities, both do depend on how hard you're driving too. All the rest should be fine And mod for mod, a GTS-t will always handle better than a GTR, especially through twisty stuff like turns 7-9 at Mallala. ~250kg lighter overall and much better weight distribution means both turn in and mid corner are greatly improved, but corner exit is where the GTR has the advantage. For the lower power cars, getting power down isn't much of a problem, so the GTR doesn't really have a gain here. Garn, let the GTS-ts out Promise a few of them have motors to put RB26s to shame
  9. How's Oct 27th for everyone then? Gives plenty of time to get everyone's car ready and what not. We've gotta actually follow through with these plans one day
  10. I'm going to say the RB25 GCG highflow is worth looking into, and they do pop up 2nd hand every now and then. On my very tired RB20 (blew 2 weeks later), it made 220rwkw on 1.38bar (20psi). Should've been able to squeeze a bit more power out of it, but the engine was blowing by so much oil, the tune had to be stupidly conservative to stop it pinging. That said, it made full boost by 3700rpm (20psi). Started spooling 400rpm after RB25 turbo and then ramped onto boost at the same rate (as confirmed by the dyno sheets). And the GT28RS is very similar to the GT2530, only a slight change to the compressor wheel if I remember correctly. Still the same size wheels as the GT2530 though. Would also be worth looking into getting one of these with the RB20/RB25 exhaust housing put onto the back of it.
  11. Ric, stop getting better! I'm gonna be trying to keep up with when I finally get back out there!
  12. I dont understand either, if we've got the speed, why no embrarrass the Evos and STis more?
  13. I'm definitely in. If we could get it as a CAMS affliated club, that would just be grande. We really need to start using our skylines like they're supposed to be used! I think we should start it off by properly organising a time for everyone to just go out to a normal Mallala practice day and we can get a better idea of who is actually keen. Also just a fun day out to drive the car (as hard or soft as you want) with a great atmosphere. Get to put faces to names too and have a chat
  14. RB25 turbo > VG30 turbo Heaps more midrange.

Thanks for the offer Andrew, but I've found one now Needed a bit of tailshaft on the end anyway
  16. R32 diff ratio suits RB20 much better.
  17. GTR injectors are top feed, R33 GTS-t are side feed. They wont fit.

Turns out he isn't actually selling yet Anyone else?
  19. ^^^Gotta love when that happens If the bracket's just been ripped off the subframe cleanly, get it welded back on, if not, new subframe, not the worst to do. Make sure you reinforce the welds when you do it though, the stock welds are piss poor. How much power did you end up pulling anyway?
  20. RB20 gearbox sold.

Hi guys, I'm putting an RB25 gearbox into my R32 and I need the R33 tailshaft yoke so I can get my R32 tailshaft modded to suit. Let me know if you've got one lying around for some reason. Am willing to buy a whole R33 tailshaft if it's at a decent price (<$150 as I can get one locally for that much from a wrecker). Anyway, I'm located in SA, but can organize all freight for interstate sellers. Contact me via PM or 0422 255 843 (send SMS during business hours) Cheers Showza
  24. Nice work! Any idea on power outputs? Notice any difference with front end weight (turn in)?
