  1. This means you want the same offset as stock. i.e. +40 Offset is measured from where the wheel mounts to the hub to the centre of the rim. The fact is, you can't have a +40 rim with a decent width. There is nothing wrong with having a rim of different offset, increases track and you can fit wider rims on. I'm not sure why you'd want to keep the offset the same. I think that's what you're getting at, correct me if I'm wrong
  2. GTR offset rims usually hit the guard... Had some 17x9 +20 on the front and they only just tucked into my flared guards (flared 15-20mm) and was running 3deg camber. So yeah, you'd have to be lucky to make em fit... You'd probly need to find 8.5 +32. That should fit into the stock guards, maybe need to lip them
  3. I'm pretty sure auto silvias came with 3.9 and they have R200. Pretty sure about s14/s15, but s13 not so sure...
  4. Been covered ALOT. Basically 1.5way provides a strong LSD effect on acceleration and mild effect on deceleration. A 2way however provides the same amount of LSD effect on both accel and decel. The standard LSD is a viscous system and is effective when new on a road car, doesn't chirp wheels, nice to drive, but performance is crap Cant compare them to a mechanical diff
  5. It will make a big difference compared to stock springs as you can lower it on the shock itself and the shock is MUUUUUUUUUCH better than stock. To control roll (what I assume you mean by rigidity) you also need upgraded swaybars, as that is their job, controlling roll. The Bilsteins will have less roll than stock shocks though as they have more low speed bump than stock shocks. Most mid priced coilovers (mostly japanese) have very simplistic valving and this leads to inferior damping with excess harshness. Most of that is covered in SKs thread. They also have spring rates that are far too stiff.
  6. C'mon! Buy my sh*t! Make me some offers, I really need one of the 18s gone! I just counted and I've got 26 rims at home! Now, it may just be me, but I think that's far too many... And I'm tryin to buy another pair of 17x9s now Will trade for 17x9s
  7. Back, yes. My old rims were 18x9 +45 on the back, still heaps of clearance Front, no, will hit the upright. I had a few mm clearance with 18x8 +38 with 235/40R18s. Your rim will sit in another 8mm and the tyre will more than likely rub on the upright.
  8. $150 for castor rod and LCA is pretty decent. I would get em And yes, that SHOULD fix your problem. Chassis probly isn't bent unless you hit it pretty fast.
  9. Make front dampers full soft, rears full hard, toe out front and rear, 1-2mm will do. A good wheel alignment will help a lot. And the semis on the rear really dont help...
  10. Different spring rates and apparently valving is different too, to suit our roads. I'm not sure if the are physically different.
  11. The Super Streets are more aimed at street driving and Flex have a bit of hard driving in mind, they come with stiffer spring rates, different valving, possibly larger piston and more valve sophistication? Either way, they are both twin tube unless you get the Flex mono (new). Basically, the Flex is a compromise between street and track/sprints.
  12. I fit some of the original R32 steel rims onto the back of my type-M R32. Had to use 5mm spacers to clear the calipers though. You will be in the same boat cos we have the same rear brake setup. And yes, you have the stud pattern right
  13. Yes it will fit. I've had 18x8 +38 on the front of my GTS-t and it just cleared the upright.
  14. They're not a T25. They're a turbo specially made by Hitachi/Nissan to suit the engine. They are around about the size of a T25 though.
  15. You have an RB20, get a remap. Very effective. And if you're only running an RB25 turbo, I really cant see the advantage of running expensive aftermarket computers. Roy is right about the pump, injectors, coilpacks and manifold though.
  16. I think you will find the general consensus with everyone that has tried the Bilsteins is that they are quite good. If you read through the groupbuys for all the models, you will find a lot of people have gone from Teins and the like and are extremely happy with them, much more comfortable and better handling. If I were you, I'd go the Bilsteins. I have them in my 32, but coilover kitted with race coils and revalved. I have never driven on anything like them, and I've had Tanabes, Teins, Cuscos and driven on HSDs once.
  17. Yes it is possible. I have only seen 2 different stud patterns in one rim though. But you can also have different amounts of studs at the same PCD or different PCDs with the same amount of studs i.e. 5x114.3 and 4x114.3 and 5x114.3 and 5x100 etc
  18. GOTTA SELL THE RIMS!!! Any offers? Firm on the bar though
  19. Why dont you ring him? His phone number is up there. What offset are the rims? Weight?
  20. Here's a guide I wrote for R32 and S13. S13 is the same as A31 as far as I know http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=185697
  21. Tie rods are the actual rod thats screws into the rack Tie rod ends are the bit that bolts to your hub
  22. Flat 12 actually Didn't realise it was a repost... Ahwell, it's good anyway
  23. The camber kit only came with 2 offset bushes though? Does that mean you have to buy more offset bushes?
