  2. front: radius rod bush upper arm bushes lower control arm bushes steering rack bushes rear: upper arm bushes traction rod bushes lower control arm bushes subframe bushes thats all i can think of at the moment
  3. out of the cheapies the HSDs are the best but still far from good coilovers. i would be goin the whiteline/bilstein group buy though. for an extra $150 or so you can get the bilsteins and swaybars, compared to just HSD coilovers.
  4. offset is measured from where it bolts to the hub to the centre of the rim. so the bigger the number the further it sits in

  7. ah k, so thats it then so r34/r33 s2 compressor doesnt flow anymore than r33 s1?
  8. if this is the case shouldnt the r33 S2 flow more than the S1? from my understanding the r34 turbo flows more power but ive never heard of the s2 flowing more power than an s1. just a bigger exhaust housing cant make that much difference can it?
  9. so R33 S2 and R34 have the same compressor wheel? and if thats right, does that mean they pretty much have the same core, only difference being the VG30 turbine housing?
  10. vg30 is bad due to the big rear housing and same size wheels as standard rb20 turbo r34 turbo is good, but the rear housing is the same size as the vg30 and too big for rb20s. r33 S1 and S2 are really good on the rb20, i'd be looking to get one of these. preferably S2 as they are newer and have the lighter nylon compressor, help spool up a little they are also cheaper, around $300-$400

  14. S1 is definitely still worth it easy to tell the different compressors, one is aluminium and the other is nylon. they feel much different and the number on the comp cover is different i think the S2 has 45v4 and S1 has 45v3 may need someone to confirm, thats just going by my crappy memory

  16. on my rb20 i recently swapped a rooted S1 turbo for an S2. while both were off the car i noticed that the 2 have slightly different compressors. the upper blades seem to be the same, but the lower blades on the S2 sat further in and were more tucked away out of sight when looking directly down on it. the S1 though had clearly visible lower blades that stuck out past the upper blades a little and seemed to come up higher towards the edge of the upper blade... sorry for the crappy description anyway, i ran it past cubes and he suggested it may be the R34 compressor and sent me a couple of pics. the turbo is on the car now so i cant do a proper comparison, but from what i remember its very similar to whats in the pics. does anyone know for sure if the R34 compressor is the same as the R33 S2? i always assumed S1 and S2 were the same, just made from a different material. and from what i've seen on here most people think the same thing too any help would be great cheers, showza
  17. your car idles at 6500 when its cold!?
  18. the problem is in the ECU. it is nissans way of warming up the engine with minimal stress on the engine. it goes into rich and retarded mapping up until something like 3300rpm or until you put your foot down a bit more. do it next time you drive it cold, keep your foot at the same level and get to around 3300 and you will notice a sudden rush as the fuel and ignition maps have gone back to normal. it is completely normal
  19. R34 and VG30 have same size rear housings most people would say its too big for rb20s
  20. +20 sticks outs 10mm further than +30 so i would suggest they go on the back

  22. all rb turbos except hr31 were ball bearing, and possibly cefiros werent aswell. but r32, r33 and r34 (not gtrs) were all ball bearing
  23. are these the ones from the whiteline/bilstein group buy? they look very similar can you get the part number off the bottom and post it up or PM me?
  24. need to know offset but seriously, 20s are lame
