  1. 4g63 has less cyls and consequently has bigger bore and stroke to make up the same displacement, 85x88 (borexstroke) where as the rb20 is 78x70 from this 25% longer stroke, i think it would be safe to assume the exhaust would be pushed out around 25% faster (given same head, all the other crap) they also run an 8.8:1 compression ratio compared to the rb20s 8.5:1, not much difference, but would help a bit. generally a 2L 4 will spool a turbo better than a 2L 6.
  2. but with beefs way it passes over the engine before the cooler and heat transfer via convection (dominant mode of heat transfer) is proportianal to the difference in temps. so as the hot pipe passes over the engine it doesnt absorb as much heat as the cold pipe going over the engine in the normal setup. if the air collects the heat on the hot side, it still gets cooled by the intercooler. if it is heated on the cold side, there is not chance for further cooling. id say the effects would be fairly small, but the theory is there still
  3. he's definitely talkin about a non turbo R34...
  4. cheapest crappiest imported tyres money can buy
  5. ok, you have to be real rough with the car. when i first got mine i didnt wanna break anything, but you just have to yank real hard, both sides and back, just slide it up towards the window pretty high and then pull towards you, that will get it off the hooks. oh and there are 2 screws/10mm bolts at the bottom of each side that hold it too
  6. look at my shitbox its on fire! haha <------------
  7. wait... on my 32 the front rack is completely seperate to the hicas rack, there is no plumbing between them. on my friends CA silvia there is a connection that is bolted to the rack, but no fluid is mixed here. i found this out when i locked the hicas on both cars so both definitely had hicas. hicas cars have a pump that has 2 outlets and then the resevoir has 2 inlets, so the front rack and the hicas rack are completely seperate all the time. i dont understand how a non hicas rack can be different then, cos i've definitely never seen any connections on the rack for hicas. rack has 2 connection, 1 in, 1 out
  8. yeah, my mate got s5 550cc injectors in his ceffy and they fit straight in, no resistor packs or anything like that,
  9. if price isnt an issue, get the T1Rs then. definitely very good street tyres
  10. both will fit, im fairly sure from factory they had 205/55 225/50 is the same rolling diameter, off by 0.1% or something but the tyre is too wide for the rim, its sloppy.
  11. the toyos are good but quite expensive. bang for buck i would probly go the hankooks havnt got anything to say about the falkens
  12. i just got a front pair of these shocks revalved for stiffer springs etc, and they are AMAZING. ive had japanese coilovers (tanabe) before, ive borrowed my mates cheap and nasty HSDs and now ive got bilsteins, they are so much better than anything else ive had. both more comfortable and handle heaps better cant wait to take em out to the track!
