what are the offsets of R33 gtr rims? ive got 18x9 +30 on the back of mine and they fit without any modifications. and my car is quite low... can just see the top of the tyre under the guard. are the leather gts-t seats different to other gts-t and gtr seats? cos i tried puttin my mates leather seats in my car (cos mine where out and people needed to be driven places) and the backrest was too short

Clutch And Pressure Plate
salad replied to doof's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
definitely go aftermarket clutch they will last longer and perform a lot better i have an xtreme organic clutch now, but i dont really like it as you can feel it slip. i originally wanted the cushioned ceramic button as its still very drivable but performs very well wish i didnt cheap out now.... <_< -
i heard that the rear strut brace does more than the front one. i have a front, and it didnt do too much, and my mate has just a rear and says it sits more stable mid corner now, and the limit is a bit higher now

theyre different flanged and smaller get an after market or get a f*cked VG30 turbo and hi-flow it or hi-flow an rb25 turbo
-
hey dude, ive got a 4dr 32 aswell and i made 170rwkw with rb25 turbo, gtr fuel pump, 1bar boost, 3" turbo back exhaust, and shitty hks mushroom pod no front mount... its on the way though and itll be in the car soon my point is... get an aftermarket dump pipe! they do HEAPS go look at your stocker and youll see that the bit where the wastegate opens goes into a "wall" in the dump pipe... VERY bad design, causes a SH*TLOAD of turbulance when the wastegate opens and makes exhaust gases flow really sh*tty. also, i assume that by ZG30 turbo, you meant VG30 out of a 300ZX. if this is the case, go get that hi-flowed. many people have had good results with hi-flowing that turbo because of its decently large exhaust housing PS: GET THAT DUMP PIPE!!!

not sure where to put this... so ill give it a shot here. i was out at a drift practice night a couple of days ago and something weird was happenin out there... i have an R32 gts-t with hicas still connected. after a while, the steering would get heavier and then if i wanted to turn in more mid drift the steering was like driving a truck. after i stopped i noticed that the powersteering resevoir was leaking from the lid and that it was incredibly hot. 3 other of my friends have the same problen with fluid leaking, but no one elses steering gets heavy. i went back out after i changed my tires and the powersteering is fine, and really light again. will the powersteering stop workin if the fluid gets too hot? and has anyone else had the same problem with fluid leaking out of the resevoir. thanks guys

ah k, cheers dude

i would much rather pay another $50 for some better tires.... <_<
-
mine are height adjustable via a helper spring, so the preload is not affected by height... think i might put em in some spring compressors and tighten the nut on top a bit
-
yep, i can confirm this too. i have 170rwkw now and the AFM is maxed out (R32) this was also confirmed by sam aka dr drift
-
2 deg of negative camber i didnt think that it should make that much difference to the castor either, but yeah, arms went in, and castor was much different....
-
i dont think it has anything to do with the swaybar and its probly not a good idea to take it out.
-
i have the exact same problem in my R32 gts-t. i know my shocks are fine, and there are no leaks, but the sound is driving me nuts! im thinkin the nut on top needs to be tightened (not the studs to bolt it in, the one that holds the strut top to the shock can anyone confirm this? or is it something else?

track down some S15 rims. they look hell better.

howdy, does anyone have these in their R32? i just bought some and put them in. i took the old arms out, made sure they were exactly the same length, put a long bolt through both holes of both arms just to check. after i put em back in, they stuck out a long way from their orignal position and actually hit part of the body. i have since wheel aligned it and i can only get 2 degrees camber... does anyone know whats wrong? im thinkin that when takin the upper arm out it did something to the balljoint on the lower control arm. can anyone confirm this? this aside, i was runnin 9.5 deg castor and when the arms went back in and went back on the wheel aligner, it had 16deg castor.. does anyone know if i wind the castor out, will it give me more camber? cos i know all the adjustments are dependent on each other (wheel aligned myself at work) thanks guys

8" Rim - How Wider Tyre?
salad replied to silman's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
stretch tires people, it makes em handle heaps better. ive got 235/40R18s on an 18, theyre stretched a tiny little bit. i wouldnt go anybigger than this -

Rb20/25 Stainless Steel Manifold And Dump Pipe
salad replied to tbear's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
interested in the manifold can you post up pics? where did you buy it from? -
my speedo cable end snapped and my speedo didnt work and this really messed with my hicas on my R32 gts-t. not sure if it will be the same of the gtr. but it made my steering really heavy after about 5 mins of driving and the hicas did not work properly. if this is the case for the gtr too, you might be able to go a bit faster on straights, but id say your conrnering speeds wont be up to par
