Spotted a nice sounding, low silver R33 GTR on William Webb around 6:50pm this evening on my way to the AIS.

Cold or warm it idles at 1100 but as you say it might be the ecu or maybe it was previously tuned that way?? I guess the only way to figure it out is on the good old dyno.

I was thinking about getting them in gold (TE37's). Ive seen a few around and i never get tired of looking at them. There just too good looking.

LTSJayce, Scooby thanks for all the info. Will have to make a few calls and talk to above mentioned. The cars running fine i think it just idles a bit high (at 1100rpm) or is that normal for the GTR's?

ESP? LTSjayce have they been around long? Can i ask where they are located? Purchased my car a couple of weeks ago (after about a year without an import) and i would like to get it tuned by a good and reputable workshop, it has a mines computer in it and was wondering if any tuner in Canberra would have mines software?

It sux not having a the Skyline any more, missing out on the cruising and especially now with the colder weather, it's turbo heaven. I'll have to wait until i get another one imported from Japan. Can't wait though. Just holding out for the right GTR to come my way.

I mentioned i had the following :FMIC, Bilstein Suspension, Wheels, exhuast, stereo & Uni chip. I was honest with them about all the mods and they were cool with that.

I used to be with Elders insurance in Mawson ACT for the past 2 years before i sold my car. They gave me a good quote and didn't mind that the car had some modifications. Try giving them a call.

I also agree if a you are going to buy a skyline go to Powerplay. It will be five years in November since i bought mine from them and it Hasn't missed a beat. I test drove a few R33 GTST' s around NSW & in the ACT and as soon as i went for a drive in the one i own now i put a deposit on it there and then and the next week i came back and picked it up. They even shared some bubbbly with me after my purchase to say congrats. Very professional. I haven't had to change anything with the interior/exterior for almost five yrs because it was imported in immaculate condition, looked sexy and didn't need to be improved. If i ever look for another skyline it will be through Powerplay.

I have a brass button in my 33 and it does the same thing if it doesn't get enough revs. You just need to get used to the brass button and find the right revs and friction point of the clutch.

spotted blue r34 gtr Vspec ACT plates Canberra Ave this morning. Also saw it the other week going into a building i work next to. Very nicely lowered and sounds great.

If I don't go to Wollongong this week I might be able to make it.

Thanks for the compliment. Luckily me and my mate brought our walkie talkies which came in handy as he was closer to the front in his maroon 200sx, there the best little things for cruises. We just headed off because everyone went in different directions (didn't think it was that organised) but it wasn't a bad turn out they seemed like a friendly bunch of people.

Was that your maroon skyline Veilside R33? Mine was the silver one. Got to many red lights and lost you guys in Braddon so we decided to got to head out to Manuka, but yeah there were are few cops out that night and they pulled over some cars.
