  1. translated: we got some angry residents, some old people and some grumpy traffic cops together, showed them videos of today tonight footage until they were frothing at the mouths, and then gave them a texta and a pad of butchers paper and let them wank on..... what a ****ing joke.
  2. probably when there is an engine in the car..... congrats aidwin. did you have a crack at the quarter?
  3. I said something a bit ruder than that. it involved bending over and a reference to fisting of some variety or varieties. :fist:
  4. I got one or two quotes like that. gave me a friggin heart attack! yeah, $8k/year. huh? are you sure? wanna check that? yeah, that's right. imports are expensive to ensure. plus, you cant drive it on the roads. or park it. anywhere. just have it, and look at it. :devfu:
  5. that's true. he doesnt need it in writing. they should have checked it before and after he sat the test.
  6. yeah. me too! well, 24 with 40% and I pay 1300 ish. bit pricey eh! will ring your dude next time my renewal is up..... maybe insurance for imports is actually falling. maybe. edit: should point out that I have an agreed value of around $24k...
  7. cam isnt telling the whole truth...... he rode in micko's gtr on friday night. He needs an exuse to be able to buy an r33 GTR when he gets back. like "I no have car - must by GT..........R"
  8. the media would cricify him the same way that dan and rob have. get a good lawyer dont rely upon the misgivings of an internet forum. sounds like he's ****ed himself by listening to people that don't know what theyre talking about enough already. I can sympathise with his plight though.
  9. double din decks, whilst they look the goods, are usually shit. for the price you'll pay ****ing around with a busted arse pioneer deck you can get an enty level. ditch the brick and get a decent deck with 4v preouts and an mp3 player. you'll never look back.
  10. so you got his details etc? will the insurance gods smile or 5hite upon you?
  11. that's pretty ****ing unlucky. is downfall was obviously assuming that DPI licensing was the body responsible for regulating his licence, when they are (apparently) not. that said, the people at DPI should not have indicated to him that he could re-sit his test if they were not the body responsible for regulating whether he was in fact allowed to. I think a judge will still find him guilty, because of the fact that he was told by a judge not to drive for 12 months, but I think he'll be leniant...
  12. fane - something you may not realise is that a number of commercial businesses in perth use prestige to source vehicles. buying from a non-broker (who would probably have used a buyer in japan - who may even be the same bloke that the broker uses) doesnt make the kms any more genuine.. in fact, buying through a broker can at least offer you the chance to see the wear on the interior prior to someone detailing the car and fixing the tears in seats etc..... that said, having gone through the broking process before, I'd find a nice example locally, through private sale, get a leakdown test done, and save all the hassles of compliance and rego.
  13. Dan! glad to hear you're ok.
  14. and typing "someone"
  15. ?? just wondering why someonw from brisbane posted in here about how to make a 13? dude, did you try the forced induction section? there's shitloads of info there....
  16. have have other fluids on my programme for this arvo - and unless liz has oil and coolant handy, most of the shops will be shut.....
  17. oil and fluids change might be a good idea.. *glares at niz*
  18. oil and fluids change might be a good idea..
  19. it's funny how much damage the fence has done to the rear panels. like little scales. looks more like how I'd imagine fibreglass panels to crumple under normal-to-panl compression load like that. on a slightly off topic note - some nimrod has advertised an R33 in the paper for the last three or so weeks with a "one lady owner comment". go figure. good test of how gullible people really are I guess.
  20. 9,800!?! that's pretty spensive! easily 6 grands worth of damage there. guess that there's not enough 33s around for caryard at the moment.... *grade 4.5 nissan skyline 2.5L turbo fast car, beautifully presented. one lady owner. aftermatket rims and bodykit, from $24,000 call Skipper Mitsubishi*
