Hey everyone, Does anyone know which car dealers in Canberra might take an import as a trade-in? Would it be a good deal? Cheers

hi all, thanks for all the good replies, i really appreciate it. a) i can't be absolutely sure that there is no bar in the door - if they're small i may have missed it b) i haven't checked the driver's side, this will help me compare them c) i've contacted DOTARS by email, no reply as yet d) obviously if the door has no bar fitted, i'll get them put in. it's an interesting problem - there's a moral hazard to not telling dotars, and a moral hazard to telling them...hmmm....

aha, thanks all for the replies. i remember my old gtst had an afm issue and this doesn't feel like that. it revs by maybe 800-1000rpm, so it really does sound like it's trying to keep the idle up somehow. it could be the powerfc: it was fitted and tuned about two months ago, but i'm really only noticing it now.

g'day everyone, so my r32 gtr has started doing this funny thing every now and then (but usually when i pull into my garage, up a slight slope, or sometimes when i pull up to the lights). the engine seems to rev (or surge) without me touching the pedal. It does it a few times, then settles down. has a powerfc fitted (dunno if that's relevant). so...any ideas??

omg you legend!! thanks it's a big help! ok so that black plug on the left plugs into a black lead from the horn on the steering wheel then? the game is afoot!!!!!!!!!!
-
thanks kylie, i appreciate it. if anyone could help me out with a pic of their engine bay that'd be fantastic.
-
anyone?
-
lol guys seriously could anyone take some pix of their r32 front engine area? i have checked everywhere and can't find anything!
-
gday everybody my horn is missing. it was like this when i bought the car (r32 gtr) and i'm trying to work out where the horn sits so i can see whether the wiring is also missing (or whether i can just get another horn). what id really love is for someone to take a few photos of their front engine bay area, especially the horn section, so i can compare it to mine and find out what's missing. pretty pretty please!!!! and here is the hamster in question. Meiji

thanks shan...can anyone tell me where their stock horn is? pretty please?
-
ok guys don't laugh - can anyone tell me where i can find the horn in the engine bay of my r32 gtr?
-
guys, the horn on my new r32 gtr is broken. it's an aftermarket steering wheel. i've removed the wheel and the horn is connected with a single black wire - is that correct? the wire has a crimp in it. i'm not sure if the crimp has damaged the wire. if i push the horn, i can't hear any relays moving. I've read this, but don't understand it: >when I test the two lines comming to the horns they both light up when the button is pressed. I have a circuit tester but I don't know where the horn itself is actually located. Can anyone help pleaseeeee?

g'day everybody, i'm in the market for importing an R32 GTR. I've searched but can't find any recent discussion of this: can anyone recommend a good compliancer in either NSW or VIC? also an indication of prices would be great! cheers, Meiji

this is GOLD. so here i am, dollars in hand, ready to buy. there's no shortage of cars for sale. and you can't even be bothered posting pics. LOL. lemme guess, you don't really want to sell it, right?
-
cheers mate - think i got it sorted now. may need new torsion bars!
-
actually, is there meant to be a spring of some kind in there somewhere? just on the off chance...
-
hmmmm....that leads me to believe that for some reason my bars aren't tawt enough...maybe they're missing a clip or something, i dunno if anyone could post some pix of their bar setup that'd be GREAT...i am stumped!!
-
ok, climbed into the boot and had a good look - from what I can see, the bars are definitely not broken (i traced my finger along both bars) and the ends look like they are securely fastened. the bars look very thin though and i'm not sure how they could keep that boot up! does anyone have any idea what i should do now?
