Engine could possibly have lower km's, as the engine was replaced by the person that owned the car before I did (only found out when registering it in my name, the D.O.T had a different engine number recorded down, which led me to ask the question to previous owner). Only 18 months ago, all the coolant rubber hoses got replaced in the engine. Water pump got replaced in March 2006. Have never had an accident in the car. Air Conditioning works fine and is cold. Had the thermal valve (T-Valve) replaced and was re-gassed in March 2007. Had intentions to take the car down the strip at Willowbank, and around QR, but never ended up getting to do it due to being either too busy or too lazy! so the car hasn't been raced! Car was last serviced on Tuesday (07/10/08) as well as all the seals were replaced for the Clutch Master and Slave Cylinders, and a new hose was fitted on the oil return from the turbo. The car also had a roadworthy pre-check and have been told it is all good apart from I need a new muffler, so that will be replaced within the next few days. Tyres have plenty of tread, rear tyres were replaced March 2008, and the front tyres were replaced sometime in 2007. Car has just been re-registered for another 6 months (expiry 24/03/2009) and will come with a roadworthy certificate (this will be done when I have someone interested, as RWC's only last 2 months). Can also include in the sale of the car for no extra price, original tail-lights, original suspension, a GTR wing (in gun-metal grey, the original colour of the car), original airbox. Images:
  5. I'm not convinced with peoples answers about estimation of speed. An estimation of speed is a very inacurate way to be booked because there is such a thing called misjudgement, and if you do not have a radar or speed camera or speedo (basically anything that can calculate or compare your speed) then it would not be bookable as the police are subject to error! I've had an experience where i just got my license and was in my car with 2 mates doing about 110km in a long straight suburban st, a cop pulls out of a st and heads the other way to me, i slowed down as soon as i saw the cop, but from their judgement they could tell i was speeding and u-turned and chased me but by the time they had i was at speed limit again, they pulled me over and just gave me a stern warning that if they hear any reports of my car, that i'd be in real trouble, but could not book me as they did not know my speed. Yet on the other hand i believe they can use some descrepency, as another time i got caught street racing, but let me off on a speeding fine. They told me that they assumed i was doing over 100km as they had to do 130km to catch up to me. I can't remember if i got booked for 110 or just 100, but they were nice and let me off on less serious charges due to some circumstances. So my belief is that they can use their judgement but only when they have something to go off (for example the cop went off what speed they had to do to catch me). But as for a police car going the opposite way, they would not beable to determine your speed at just watching you go past. So all in all i think it comes down to the circumstance in how the cop catches you speeding whether they were able to go off something, coz if they can't then they can't do shit!
  6. My car was better value!!! 92 R32 GTS-t wit mags, elec boost controller, gtr bodykit, bov for 10g!!! thaz why i bought it, bargain!!!!
  7. If you say your turbo is shot (like you did in the 1st post ) then you'd need a new turbo, but from sounds of things the other guys answers have helped. But if oil is leaking from the turbo... that isn't a good thing!!! should get it checked out and fixed!!!
  8. my hicas light is always on... always has been since i bought the skyline. hhhhhmmmmm, maybe somethings f##ked with mine... but i do know my power steering is leaking
  9. Yeah my rubber seal around the drivers window is ripped in the back corner too. I dunno what itz caused by as it was like that when i bought it but eventually i'll get it fixed... right now i'm just trying to earn more money to start doing some mods
  10. I'm just wondering how common/uncommon it is too have super loud turbo spool and what is the usual reasons that causes the spool to be so loud. I've only had my R32 gts-t skyline for nearly 2 months, and as soon as i bought it, the turbo spooling has been very loud, but it got even louder when i put a pod filter on. Don;t get me wrong... i like my turbo spool as it makes my car sound more like a jet than a car, but is it common to get such loud spooling in a skyline(or any car for that matter), or is it some freakish thing that bestowed upon me? To give you an idea of how loud the spooling is... my mates could hear my spool roughly about half a km away (500m).... mind you it was dead silent, and i was taking it hard (as was doing 1/4 mile times with a G-Tech). Curiosity has got the better of me and has made me want to find the reason behind it.
