well that's good news. what about all the mounting and bracing underneath? all lines up fine? already got a front facing plenum on it, so should hopefully have no worries. will have to see about the high mount turbo though. might need a new manifold for it

Just a quick question. I have just gotten my hands on a rb30det (loom, ecu, turbo all there), with rb25 gearbox, and was planning on stuffing these into my r32 manual gtst. Having basically very little knowledge, and no experience in doing this conversion, I was wondering whether there are any issues with this proposed conversion, or does the engine fit straight in, like a rb25 would? I am planning on ripping out the rb20det and gearbox out myself, respraying my engine bay and then towing the car to the shop that is going to do the conversion. but to save on time, and any potential hassles, was wondering whether i would need to provide any additional bits and pieces for this. I have purchased some new engine mounts, but apart from that, i can't think of anything else that they might need. Any help on this would be appreciated, as the car will probably be going in on either monday or tuesday. Cheers

not for that price. it's ridiculous. you can quote the "it's no longer available, it's discontinued" bullshit all you want, but 1.8k is just silly. my r32 has been discontinued as well, but i still can't sell it for 20k, no matter how many "no longer available brand new" lines i pull out of my ass

Just be careful with the sale. There was a guy from dubbo on boostcruising.com scamming some people. Not saying this is the same person, but it's somebody that's reasonably new to the site, selling from the same place as the last guy. Apologies if it is all legit cheers

It's fugly. Seen it up close a couple of times. Body kit is full of cracks, and that gold highlight just grates on my nerves.

What needs to be done?

If you were in brisbane, these would be sold. Need rims for the 32, but want to test fit them before purchasing as it's a gtst with wide front guards and rolled back.

As topic says, looking for a rb25det, to stuff into my r32. Would prefer the turbo, loom, ecu etc to be on as well, but can negotiate without low km's pefered, but will consider forged engines with aftermarket bits for the right price. pm me on here Cheers Miso

that's hillarious. six posts, after he stated he sold it, all asking for more info or arranging a time to look at it.

$900 did seem a bit steep, so it's goot to see there is other alternatives. right now really exploring the option of just whacking in a rb25. too bloody indecisive. right now it will probably have to wait till the end of jan, as I just ordered a vertex kit, so the car will be getting a respray and some volks start of jan.

In case anybody was wondering, mercury quoted me around $330 for the remap, plus one hours worth of dyno time for the turbo, and another hour for afm, bringing the total to $930, drive in, drive out by lunch time.

this may sound ignorant, but for the dr drift remap, should i just pm him for it, or does he have a shop that deals with this now..? Col, thanks for that. I will shoot him a message and see how he found the whole experience.

he was talking about maybe getting a high flow turbo, as he is on a budget, and your suggestion is buying a gtr half cut and doing an engine transplant. and then, on top of that, purchasing upgraded turbo, from the us of all places, and getting them shipped here..... So I suppose if I asked for tips on upgrading my stereo system, your suggestion would be to purchase a 350z, with bose stereo system, transplant that into my car, and then rip out most of it, and order whole new components from the us. and make a great saving....

Yeah... Might hunt around for the Emanage ultimate. Just reading up on it now, and finding out where to get them and who tunes them. Any info to shorten my search would be appreciated (i am lazy...)

As title says, is there any place in queensland, preferably in brisbane, that remaps r32 ecus. How much are they normally, or am i better off just picking up something like emanage ultimate? Cheers

Don't really have any experience with rb20 engines, and haven't had time to read up on them, but figured I may as well ask on here. Basically I have a reasonably fresh engine in the r32, with 35odd thousand k's since the rebuild. Hybrid front mount, 3 inch exhaust from turbo back, pod filter, high flowed steel wheel turbo of a r33, as well as some injectors sitting around. Not quite happy with the performance of the thing, as it is noticeably slower in the straight than my old r33. Handles a lot better, but don't have the grunt yet. Now I was wondering whether it is worth while getting a computer, adjustable cam gears and a fuel pump for it, and winding the boost up, or would I be better off just slotting a rb25 in there. A pfc for the rb20 is 1.5k or so, plus instal and tuning, plus the fuel pump, so for similar money, i could have an low k rb25 to slot in there, and I would still be able to use the exhaust, turbo, fmic and pod and probably get a few more rwkw. Any help and info would be appreciated. Cheers

already on 175rwkw. got front mount, high flow turbo, bov, remapped chip, exhaust and filter. Now looking for a computer and fuel pump to wind the boost up a bit further, and hopefully see 200 odd rwkw. it's not quiet as quick as my old 33, so trying to get there power wise, as the handling is much better. let me know how you go with the sale, or might have a fish around for some pfcs

hey mate, what boost was that power figure on? just picked up an r32 today, and am keen to make it go a bit quicker. it's considerably slower than my old s2 r33

No longer have the series 2 skyline, so getting rid of the few parts i have lying around. Front indicators and fog lights for the series two (the round ones) SOLD!!! In good condition. Drivers side one seems a bit lose. Price: Carton of bourbon and cola. Most brands accepted (no real mccoy though) Front springs, aftermarket. Pretty low. Had the front bar about 10cms off the ground. Price: Carton of bourbon again Passenger side headlight. Small scratch on the inside plastic. Little bit foggy, so probably could do with a polish. SOLD!!!! Price: Carton of bourbon again....
