hello, have an r32 gtst 1990 model and i got one problem... the car spends most of its time at high rpm whether im driving fast or doing a burnout...... i have one problem i dont have a rev limiter at 7000rpm which is where i want it or even earlier if possible... i got the car like this but i want a rev limiter put on is everyones r32 like this... the car is stock has a stock ecu... is there a way i can put one on without changing the ecu.... maybe mechanically or electrically.... let us know???? thank you

could even be air in the cooloing system.... wasnt bled properly

Hi i just bought ferodo rear pads for $85, the thing is these pads look like r33 pads but they fit on my r32 gtst. i thought r32 gtst had two pins that hold the pads in the capliper? can anyone conferm this... Aloso want to machine the rear discs on my 1990 r32 but dont know the minimum thikness on the rear rotors could someone please inform me on what the minimum thikness is

There are only really 2 types of spring compressors that range form $40 to $400... The hand held spring compressors look like a claw and are pretty safe to use as long as its used properly... dont see why anything would go wrong.. and you have workshop ones that actually hold the shock and have 2 arms that compress the spring down they are a little easier... you can get them from and auto store...

Hey, Yeah your right their are 3 belts: A/C P/S ALTERNATER Ususally with belts if they are over adjusted (too tight) or loose the tend to slip or squeal... Squealing occurs when the belts too tight or the belt is cracked or dry... if the belt is dry use a little bit or rubber grease on the belts or some silicon lube just to moisturise the belt... If it too loose it will slip so there for adjustment is required, usually about 10kn of force should be applied to the longest part of the belt to see if it is adjusted properly.... let me know how you go

Hi All, Firstly simple question, just wanna know is the fuel pump in tank on a r32gtst (do u have to remove the tank) or is there a cover in the boot or something and if there is where is it located.... and yes i tired using the search. Secondly, ive tried to remove the seat base of the back seats and im stuck... how do u get the seat base off... Also looking for gtr fuel pump and injectors anyone got any for sale?

In my r32 i seriously dont have a rev limiter..... i went through the natio the other night and had the best time... lots of body roll... my question is why dont i have a rev limiter. im pretty sure the car is stock no mods on the ecu.. i think any ideas.... p.s that night at the natio the turbo was glowing red pretty cool

i have an r32gtst and just got 18 put on my car now the thing is i want to get some lowering springs and the gap between my guard and tyre in like 3 to 3and a half cm.... everyone says to get 2inch lowering springs but i think its gonna be scrubbing heaps...?? Anyone lowered their r32 with 18's and if so how low can you go.. please leave your comments B)

I seem to have a problem on a cold start the car seems to struggle to idle.. it wont idle at all it spits and carries on, it barley runs... i have to touch the throttle for the car to star idleing properly and then it idles at 1500rpm till it warms up... Anyone got an idea or anyone ever have this problem and if so how do i fix it......

so what would lowered shocks and springs cost me as a package...

is that the standard front bar on a gtst? if so where did u get that lip on the front bar i like it its really good... and how much???

Hi i have a r32 gtst (1990) i have 18 by 7inch (225all round) wheels on it at the moment and still looks like a 4x4. i want to lower it and got a price for 2ich lowering springs for 220 a set. i need to know who has lowered there car with just springs... people are telling me to get shocks etc because the origional shocks are going to knock... this is true to one point, but has anybody ever had this problem??? and what is the preferred method for lowering keeping in mind its an everday car doesnt do any track work... and money is a bit of an issue...

Hi, Unlikely for you to hit a tree head on and have no engine damage but anyway.... I had a similar problem my r32 was cutting out intermitanly when boosting after a few tests found out that was an air flow meter. picked a new one up from just jap for $150. so it could be your airflow meter, or another thing could be your idle speed contol valve (ISC). to check this get some UPPER ENGINE CLEANER i use subaru stuff cause im a mechanic there and id recommend to use it it does work. get a couple of cans and spray some down the spark plug holes (when they are out) and into various intake manifold vacume holes, especially spray it in the ISC there is a big hose that connects to it near the throttle body...... Youll also find that alot of syklines rpm drops after engine has been raced... also hot weather does it to the car.... hope that helps!!!

Hello, I saw some of you guys at hungry jacks in sylvania on friday night.... saw you guys crusing and thought id join in.... lol anyone remember? just got a few questions im a mechanic that works for subaru... just wanna know 1. what kind of differential oil should you use in a R32 gtst... (maybe Castrol 80w90) 2. what kind of transmission oil should be used.... (maybe Castrol 75w 85) 3. engine oil repsol 5w 30 fully synthetic is that ok. thanks and the cars look good on the road... p.s how do i find out about the cruises in the area????
