  3. Hi all, ive been trawling through this thread and havent seen any details on o2 sensors for a wgnc34 rs four, its a rb25det, are they the same as a r34 or r33 etc or are they a different part number all together? any info would be greatly appreciated Cheers
  4. Picked up my c34 yesterday and on the way home on the highway a couple of guys in a volvo 850 were checking out the stag as they went past... maybe thought they made the wrong decision over which wagon to buy

  8. its an E30 head on the l24... running LPG but its only done 50,000kms on LPG and about 100,000kmd on petrol.. had the sump off and it appears all the hone marks are still the from what little i can see/feel whats a rb 30 head change involve? havent heard of that one before... would a rb 25 head work then for the twin cam... Its been a while and the old 210 has been a bit spluttery but its finally time for some real work! the l24 has been leaking exhaust gaskets, sump gaskets, rear main seal and many other places... so its been pulled down for a bit of maintenance.. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B9IBf0LCEVgMUkpuREw3M3pBbU0 so ive pulled the water pump off all manifolds gearbox, sump, dizzy, flywheel, rocker cover... is there anything else that i should check/clean/test/replace? im considering building the l26 i have in bits and putting that in... any ideas would be appreciated..
  10. I found out part of my problem was a dead wire from the ignition switch... black with white stripe from memory... leave it connected and run another wire parallel...

Hi all, need some help 1978 c210 w/L24 and 280z electronic ignition still using old ballast resistor and coil.. car ran beautifully last night put it in garage and went to bed got up this morning, car wont start, no spark, resistor glowing red my question: 1) how do i convert to the 280z type coil setup (including coil type etc) 2) what actually went wrong? cheers in advance!

  14. Hi All my old man has a R30 Hatch in TI spec that he wants gotten rid of.. Pros: Good motor, was running when taken out of service. Manual, TI 20 spoke Mags, Decent Interior, AC, Reasonable condition considering we were kids when mum drove it.. the ignition system was a custom build from performance ignition in Melbourne, color is gold and i'm not aware of any rust has been in storage for 8 years undercover and kept clean and dry.. Cons: Power Steering needs service or repairs, clutch hydraulics need overhaul, 1 or 2 injectors needed slight unblocking when put in storage, would hazard it needs all new injectors now.. Is there much interest for these, whats it worth? Car is located in Vermont south in Melbourne Cheers

  17. a little update no.2 c210 has had a new head gasket and clutch and flywheel etc. also a computer installed complete with touchscreen and dvd rom new car.. r31 silhouette series 2 manual 188000 kms $200

  21. Congrats on following through and getting the car back together hope it all works for you. I have been lead to believe, although right now it may seem a bit impossible, that the L series motors when built the heads were over engineered (??) meaning they are meant to be near bullet proof. when it comes to gas on these cars its not too far from true, the 2.8 lost its rings before the head gave in and the first 2.4 lost the rings. both on gas and on 400,000km's the 2.4 didn't have a modified head either. dont know how true this is but it seems so from my experience. But good luck with your cylinder head hope it all works out :-)
