  1. the sunroof and leather is nice the brembos are not so the interior on the 05 i havn't seen blue/silver ok black is nicer dvd/sat nav who cares-you could put in your own solution for the same $$ as a converted one what size rims do they have?
  2. try the oil sold by nissan! its the correct viscocity and is less than $40 Its seven and a half weight thirty if i recall correctly. reccomended for all nissan engines hornsby and randwick nissan have it in stock.
  3. As with all my previous cars after using my air con,i usually switch it off and let fresh air through a minute or two before switching the car off. This is suposed to stop mould etc forming and causing a bad smell. my problem is that the current skyline i have already has this odor. how can i get rid of it?
  4. just be very carefull with the clips.if you break them your dash will rattle and squeek forever.Anyone who has owned an r32 will know what im talking about....just take your time!
  5. me too! how annoying is that rattle...i cant think of a way to stop it either.wonder if they get the same in the infiniti over in the states?
  6. found this while searching on the bay... http://www.pac-audio.com/products/products...xiliary%20Input scroll down to Part Number: AAI-NIS2 looks like it may work with satnav equipped v35s...?
  7. sounds good.im keen to meet up too.
  8. dont forget the better bose sound system with extra speakers ! dvd PLAYER was an option (mitsubishi) as was 110 volt aux power socket, toll card reader, cruise control, foot well lights, the us model has other options like heated seats, homelink mirror, factory tints etc
  9. how did you go with the spray jets?how did you clip them on?
  10. who here has a copy of the jap software?my car came without one i would appreciate anyone who could burn me a copy so i can have a fiddle with the nav system.cheers
  11. nah you cant reuse or clean them-its not like one of those oiled air filter kits. just grab one from nissan they are less than 50 bucks. the usa infiniti dealers have a charcoal filter version which is better
  12. 140156082186 (item number) we would also have to integrate the spray jets-easy job i think
  13. thats a frenchie poo company i think?? im guessing the v35 would have been shod with a home brand-yokohama/bridgestone/toyo/BFgoodrich its hard to find any info out on this though. there is also the pressure sensor mounted in all four wheels which makes it more difficult to change tires and very hard to change rims and keep the sensors intact....http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/TPS_On_Aftermarket_Wheels
  14. these are now popping up on the bay for many older cars. im surprised ours dont have them-they are a huge advancement in wiper technology.if you have driven a newish european car with them you will appreciate how much better they are(and how much better they look!) Has anyone found an online retailer who stock them?the ones on the bay look a bit dodgy imo.
  15. i pulled into shell with -- -- on the display (meaning there were less than 30-40kms left in the tank) i filled her up with 70.07 litres of optimax and paid $82 after the 4cent discount. i reset the trip meter and computer and it read 506km till empty.I was averaging 6.8-7.5 of urban driving at the time. The computer takes approx 60 second to recalculate so cruising at 70 clicks in a low gear will give me up to 10L -which is the best i have got yet. The graph on the next page is also very usefull-it shows you the average consumption by day/tank/last trip (im not sure yet)
  16. i have the bridgestone potenza on all four, and i cant belive how noisy they are. any spped above 30kph and i can easily notice them. I will try to find out the factory specified tires for the v35 in japan amd the g35 in the US.Hopefully they are not so noisy...
  17. depends on a few factors. will you have the car loaded up as well (luggage etc?) the below is for the coupe so adjustment for the sedan will be needed. 454kg for the toe load and 45kg for the tongue load don't forget to adjust the tire pressures as well.
  18. nice writeup. so when you gonna post the final results!!i wanna see the quality you get on the screen. is it composite or component (rgb) video i cant tell ?
  19. exactly right so these peoples you know-are they australian by chance?? or japanese...
  20. count me in for the dvd lead chris.
  21. sweet cant wait! so who knows where the tv aerials are located ? are they intergrated into the glass along with the antenna and will they have the appropriate gain to receive australian analogue/digital tv?
  22. its very common practice for imports out of japan-it has been for many many years. im sure it uses a belt and not a chain as thats what all the previous rb20/25 det sr20det engines have used. check the below for what appears to be an upgraded filter for the g35 USA market: charcoal filter! hope it is avaliable in australia too. my filter was even dirtier than the above posted pictures! 2003-2005 INFINITI FX & G35, 2006 M; CHARCOAL FILTER AVAILABLE http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownership/Bull...5/ITB05-024.htm
  23. thats the best option. can they be ordered thru FAST or from a japparts importer? hopefully the lead isnt too expensive. so is the lead universal,or would you need one for sony, one for pioneer etc?
  24. i also got two original keys with remote.i also got a third marone/red coloured key. is this the valet key or the master with which to cut new ones from.? i only ask as my old honda had a red master key ,which if used to start the car it would render the car undriveable!!!
