Incabin Micro Filter
cookie--monster replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
you could be right-but mine is also in mint condition. our cars have the best engine voted last year so mechanically we are ok.but the timing belt is something you cant be naive about.if it snaps you are in for alot of repair bills. my mate imports cars into australia and he tells me that since going from analogue to digital tachos they have been able to figure out how to wind them back. Now they just need a laptop with a cable insted of having to pull the whole cluster out... -
ouchies that will cost you mate.be thinking in the hundreds of $ possibly 1k or more. i f i was in your situation i would consider replacing the unit with an aftermarket double din cd/md player.Hopefully the bose /clarion unit is not necessary for the cars normal functioning like the dvd rom unit is....chris will know

Incabin Micro Filter
cookie--monster replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
i need to change mine cause the air con smell is not so good. the filter was replaced in japan as they left a sticker (which comes with the new filter) saying when it was done. not surprisingly the filter sticker reads 54000 kms (when it was changed) and the digital tacho reads less.... skizo,im sure your car has done more than 14000 kms (and everyone else's,unless u have original log books) guess they still love winding back the clocks on imports-not sure if its done before auction in japan or if the aussie dealers over here do it?......grrrrrrrrrrrrr that means we will have to change the timing belts way earlier than what the tacho reads or we could be in for some trouble. thanks heaps for the pics but!!! -
My Auto Tranny & Dash Went Crazy Tonight!
cookie--monster replied to jaik's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
read the owners manual. The infiniti one says any probs with the vdc or gearbox and it will go into 'safe mode' untill it is restarted,to protect the transmission. i agree that u should get it checked asap-and get the oil changed as well. hopefully they have the correct diagnostic program to check the electrics etc at your local nissan dealer??? -

i cant find the filter! do you have have to remove the glove box itself?if so how is it done without damaging the draw-string on the righthand side? i have taken off the bottom plastic cover which holds the red distress flare among other things but i still cant see anywhere it could be positioned... anyone interested in getting one:i purchased mine from spare parts at randwick nissan for $48 the filter can fit around a dozen nissan veichles so they are allways in stock. -

this is cool.i could hook up a small dvd player to it and have it sit in the glove box somewhere! (untill someone finds a solution to swapping out the factory pc dvd rom for one that actually plays dvds and still retains the bits it needs!) -

chris-on the radio side-how are you implementing the fm band converter? Will you use the type of band expander with both negative and positive leads seperate from the antenna for improved reception? and has the v35 got 2 antenna : diversity and main? -

well i am looking beyond the sat nav system. Once thats done im hoping you can find a solution to add stackers to the bose/clarion headunit. As i dont understand the AUX mode as yet im hoping extra stakers can be added to the unit. The 6 disc staker really is a pain in the butt to load and it is very slow, i wouldnt mind having an extra 10 in the boot as well! -
Headlights On 350gt
cookie--monster replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
well that does not gell at all with the nissan owners manual i received with the car. i have just read the headlight section and it details the xenon headlights (if equiped) so they must be compliable in aus. one v35 i looked at had already been complied and it had xenons installed. the manual looks like it has been printed and written in australia -

looking forward to your satnav/dvd/FM intergated solution chris... so can u explain the AUX mode to me.im sure it wont be possible to hook up sony stakers to it,but if the unit is clarion can their stakers be hooked in? did the murano have a add on staker option? -

cookie--monster replied to cookie--monster's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
nice-well if i can find the inverter and swap it for a 240volt one then swap the plug over....probably not worth it after all ! Was looking thru the manual and saw cruise control was also a dealer option.Have you seen it in any as yet chris? -

cheers salad : ) LEDGEND would i be right in saying the two pics attached are showing 4x100 and 4x114.3? they are vault savanah 17'' i know 4 sure that one is 4x100 -
Hey does anyone know if its possible to have more than 1 stud pattern for a rim? Most aftermarket rims have 8 or 10 holes-does that indicate the wheel can fit two or possibly 3 different stud patterns....eg 4x100 and 4x113.4?
