lucky you!im gonna use LEDS for mine...what are you gonna do about the others which dont light up?

nah its not loose wires,its not the door trim either,not the door handle,and its not the drivers only as it does it on both sides without any visible vibration... holding the glass does reduce it a little...is it possible to tighten the window glass thru the acess panels? mine are coverd with dynamat anyway so thats out of the question.

there are more than just two..infact too get at all the bulbs you will need to take apart the climate control box itself.inside you will find another four or so (cant remember exactly) check out the car audio australia forums where there is a very recent thread on wiring up LEDs in series using 12volts and a few well placed resistors. these LEDs will be the only practical replacement for the bulbs,unless you don't mind paying $16 per bulb!

thanks satanic...will adjust mine this weekend.They are super hard so im hoping they have some adjustment left in them for a softer ride. I never got mine with upper pillow ball joints-is anyone else using them? what does the adjustment do for handling?

so whats the difference between HA and HR? height adjust... height rebound... anyone know?

yeah ihave used almost two layers of dynamat but its almost as bad.i guess another layer will help.has anyone else with an r32 had the same problem? The door panels seem to be really weak.

the bulb caps are not green..they are blue and thats how nissan achived the pale green/white look they give off.the only green lights are the two LEDs to the far right which are the demister and circulate buttons.; ) By the way you can replace the light which is in the drivers power window button. not many people know its there as they are often blown by the time we get the car over here..i got one from jaycar for $2.95 and its been goin strong for a year now! Be carefull when you remove the blue cap as they easily split, then it wont match up to the rest of your dash lights!

it will probably be nicked before you get it off the boat anyway...

Simon,i dont think the jaycar city store have the facillities to solder the resistors and leds in...im sure they would gladly work out the risistor value needed but u would have to solder it yourself unless u took it to an auto/electrician and paid them. They would likely charge 1 hour labour which would cost around $60-80 so it would be cheaper to get the bulbs!

the globes are very small,and u cannot get anything like them in aus.belive me i tried,plus the small blue plastic caps on each bulb which give the white/green colour are almost allways melted on and impossible to remove without splitting them.i think the only option is LED. ill post up a pick in the next day or so.

those tiny bulbs are $16 each from nissan australia.they have to be imported directly from japan! from memory i think there are six in there(not counting the green LEDs for recycle and demister) i wanted to do the same with LEDs but not sure of the resistor size..

anyone used dynamat,serenity,brown bread,fat mat or somthing similar? its very expensive stuff-is it worth the time and money?

where are the best places to go in the sydney/city area for wheel alignment? most bob jane/bridgestone/jaxx etc dont know what our hicas is,and think they can charge extra because its a skyline.... any personal reccomendations welcome...ive been putting it off too long.

i have heard in this forum that the r32s ariel is in the REAR glass..but if u look carefully at the front windscreen there is a tinygreen metallic wireembedded in the glass down the middle in a square shape to the passanger side...which one is it? also which factory wire powers it?

im just about to get a second hand sony md player which has a broken tuner,but its an ES model with 4volt rca and sub out..was woundering if i can hook it up to my existing md recorder via the aux rca input/outputs? then i could record and use the tuner as a combo...

just installed some pioneer splits using a 12mm mdf baffle.all screws used and its flush against the door.the door trim also fits back in as before.problem is they vibrate with bass,i cant locate the source...its coming from the middle of the door as best as i can tell..

firstly,i assume your talking about the tiny bulbs which light uo the dash a/c and other bits?.these are VERY expensive little spares which must be orderd thru nissan dealers or import shops.i needed five for my a/c and they wanted about $70.00! i tried jcar but no luck. secondly,i just removed the dimmer swith on my skyline as it was tacky and didnt let the dash light as bright as factory standard. they are put in as an australian compliance measure and do very little for safety in night driving when u have all these xeon lights blinding u these days!

pulled the dash and saw the cable spinning..the plastic connecter was split dowm two sides.have glued it together. will wait a day or so for the glue to set.

after searching the forums it appears to be a very common problem.alot had the same symptoms as me..cold mornings,same rattle sound,no hicas,power steering heavy etc etc a few solutions were mentined such as removing the dash and checking the solder joints and the cable,but the links are down for the tech manuals can anyone help?

the facts: r33's have just the two lights enabled as factry standard in japan. australian laws require all four to be on. i reakon factory standard looks way cooler!

cheers blind_elk! its prob not the same issue,but upon start up and driving for the first 10 minutes i can hear a strange noise coming from behind the dash..it seemes to be speed related as it slows down and speeds up according to my speed.maybe this was the sound of the cables last days? its a softish ticking sond which i thought was the air actuator vents...

where is the cable located? can i get a non standard replacement? are they hard to replace?

my r32 gts-t had a asmall power steering leak and since then i have topped it up.the leak stopped after adding more fluid so i left it at that.about a yaer has passed since,but last weekend i may have overfilled it.this morning the steering was really heavy and the hicas light came on(the hicas light used to illuminate when the leak first appeared) to topp it off,the speedometer wouldnt register my speed. what should i do...take some steering fluid out or pay big bucks for a service? how is the steering issue tied into the speedometer speed reading? the odometer also dose not work(almost a good thing!)
