haven driven a bucket load of them they are quite underpowered and stuggle up hills with a load on everyone seems to think they are awesome but i put this down to toyota fanboys and a reputation of reliability from the older model realistically they have been behind the times for the last ten year, interior is shit( have not driven the lastest model which apparently has slighlty better seats) and the auto is shocking crap far better 4wd's out there for alot less money

lol this shit is gold key things people should be talking about are the seats in these cars cause when your towing for 12 hours a comfy seat is vital oh and hilux's are shit!(good resale though)

From memory when Jenna re-registered her car in nsw she needed import papers, old Vic rego papers, receipt for purchase of vehicle, receipt for purchase of replacement engine, signed confirmation of engine installation from mechanic (including the new engine number) and obviously blue slip and CTP. Hers was an 89 import previously registered in Vic but rego had lapsed... call up the RTA and ask as well because this was 3 years ago. It's a fark load of shit and you don't want to get there, wait an hour then find out you missed something!!!

hilux and the words "modern diesel" should not be used in the same sentence they are quite frugal on the open road though... mainly because they are shitfull underpowered slow as f**k POS's... if they made any power they may use some fuel, even towing they will only use 15l per 100km but f**k they are slow most td pootrols and 4.2 crusiers use around 16-18 towing 2.5-3t ( modified 120-140rwkw ones use the same amount) petrol versions use around the 25 mark
