im back
lol
700km old engine
mounted gutter at the drift nats, snapped fitting on oil cooler
loss of 4 litres of oil in engine ( engine fine tunred of just before it starved) however the lack of oil seazed the turbos)
pete
lol roy they sound a bit dodgy!!!!
and would be more hassle than going big single
lol
i think the car will be off the road for a month while i save up anyway... shit
after removing the rear blades from my gtr turbos after only 700 km at 1 bar
thought that maybe a pair of s13 sr20 turbos(they supplly 170 rwkw pretty easy easch) ... which are cheap and have the same manifold pattern should go onto a gtr motor..
has anyone done it or are they too big for the gtr motor to spin
is it just a waste of time in the end???
and does anyone have a sr20 turbo floating around to see if it fits????
pete
im installing my flat informt o fthe engine btw the radiator and the ic
however just informt of the ic condensor is the go me thinks for people with space constraints
Falken RS-V04 you can get them cheap baby i havent used them but for the price i would have to say give them a go... there wet weather version is very quick
Just recently rebuilt my gtr motor
The car when on standard boost would generally run .75-.8 bar boost
When the turbos were off I notice that the manifold to turbo and the turbo housing and the gaskets were out of wack eg probably 30% area is blocked off... apparently all mechanics know this but i didnt
So out with the grinder and nath managed to properly match the manifold to turbo connection (cost nothing)... its much smother for both the turbo housing and the manifold and I would say the area of the connection is easily 30% large
Now the change
Everything is back in and suddenly standard boost has jumped to 0.95 bar and I cant get anything lower don’t know about top end cause I cant rev her past 5k until its run in but there is a noticeable improvement... however id imagine the smother path woiuld make it flow easier.. thus more power
So get it done people easy free horsepower
pete
there are some mounting brackets
and its a big core
the kit comes with everything in the photo.. everything
apparently people are worried about about the efficiency of the core
note that the core isnt as good as a hks core. or as efficient.. however what it lacks in efficiency it makes up in shear size... (eg it large)
i get the kit from rocket at 335 wholesale including gst. so i make 15 bux on each one.. rocket is 40km away from my joint so it cost about 15 bux(round trip) in the r31 in petrol to get there
anyone who can get the kit cheaper wholsale speak up cause if we can get it cheaper then we will
pete
braided lines are a wank
you just have to spend some time tieing the rubber lines down
the remote mount is not essential but makes changing the filter much easier
pete
offer is there for quite some time
i just order them in as people want them.. just through a trade account
cheers
