WOW thanks everyone for your support, I was on my way to the mechanic booked in for 2:15 and the fine says 2:10. Although I got to the first roundabout and realised I forgot the rego papers, its about 50m from my house. Who do I write the letter to? I dont really have a problem with police, I mean they keep us safe, dont they?

Hey guys I was stoppped in the first street past my house, about 4 mins from my Mechanic and the RTA, by an unmarked police car. Not speeding or breaking the law, although car was 12hours out of rego as I had to iron out some things for pink slip. I drove out of my drive way got to the first corner 50 meters and realised I forgot the rego papers, so I turned around, all legal, slow because of the child care and primary schools in my street and there they stopped me. I got fine 477 for no rego and 477 for no insurance. I was not rude or smart and didnt swear or argue. My first comment was that I am heading to get a pink slip now, and the female police officer snapped "I dont belive you", so I said follow me to my mechainic then the rta, she then said " we not an escort service" they both stated that in their opinion I had been driving the car around. I have a commodore wagon that I drive everywhere. In state law it is written that it is against the law to drive an unregistered car. Federal law states that in the life of you owning a vehicle you only need to register it once. I do not have enough money for the fines or to fight the two officers in court, its their word against mine. I was told to step out of the car and leave it in the no parking zone and walk home, and get it towed to a mechanic or my residence. I would like to add I had never seen these two cops before nor had I had any convictions for anything recently. this is not a joke. I have been told that because the law states you cannot drive a car unreg, its entirly up to the police wether you get fined or not. pay the fines? or not pay? or should I go around hating all police now as once again the prove how some poeple should not be givin any power.

18000 is cheap for a 300kw gtr I will also consider swaps. So here it is, It's an R32 GTR, I am the first Aussie owner as I imported it myself. Mods: GT35r twin bb turbo bought new from horsepowerinabox.com ( with turbo bag) Stainless exhaust manifold HKS 50mm external wastegate (screamer to atmosphere) Exhaust is now legal plumbed in with high flow stainless cat. Apexi power fc de-jetro (map sensor not afm) with hand controller 4 inch inlet pipe to a 9 by 4 inch air filter fitted behind front bar vents (not in engine bay) Adjustable HKS cam gears with new blue timing belt, gears have not been adjusted. 650cc injectors Ceramic coated inlet manifold 4 inch cooler (not installed) Front mounted ARC oil cooler ( fits where grill goes) Fully adjustable pillow top ball joint suspension Adjustable upper rear camber arms Stainless Exhaust cat back 18 inch 5 spoke white Enkei rims, Excellent front rubber, rear not so good. HKS evc3 boost controller, 800hp single plate clutch. 340kph dash Rear hicas has been removed with a lock bar in place. Sony cd player with AUX front plug for ipod with remote. The car has 12 months rego on it, the clutch is only 5000kms old as is the gearbox ( gearbox with no reverse included if need be). I have owned the car for about 3 years now and barely find time to drive it. The car has been dynoed on a basic tune to 301.7 rwkws on 16psi, it has not been run at any higher boost levels. It is currently running on 10psi. The condition of the car is quite good considering its age, there are a couple of scratch marks on the car id say from car parks, front passenger side on the bar and rear guard. The paint on the bonnet seems to have to no clear left on it, which is how it arrived from Japan. When I purchased the car from Japan I was told the engine had been built with forged pistons and had some head work, but as I have not opened the motor I dont know for sure. I am open to offers as I realise there is no chance of getting the money I have spent on it back. rego: ATN48W [removed] Or swap

this is a f**king wicked weapon, i can vouch for this car. I was leaning under the bonnet during a basic tune. Haha but the big brakes and awsome noise gives a little away. good luck with the sale.
