Hey Geoff
Did you get the cam gears installed ?
I got the 3.5 inch exhaust done last week, just finished installing a new 10mm fuel line, with new outlet on the tank cap today also.
So booking a tune in as soon as Matts available.
Trevor at custom exhaust specialists said I should pick up 20 - 30 rwhp on same boost with the new exhaust as the old 3 inch would have been maxed out. So looking at over 500 rwhp on 18 psi. But I want to tune it until it pings on 100 ron and then back her off a bit.
Will keep you posted.
PS. Hope your gonna blow or turbo the XR8, otherwise you are going to be very disappointed with the NA V8 :-)
I have a fully reconditioned R32 GTR head, new exhaust guides, cam tunnels rebored, valves ground, seats cut, vacuum tested, new valve seals, cam - bucket clearences set, face surfaced and all chemically cleaned.
Head with complete valve train and std cams only. All work done by JHH performance in Bris

Not sure what street you live on - but 500rwhp isnt very friendly.
The Q45 is up to the task - depends on who tunes it though. But putting the AFM guts into a 4 inch pipe is a good option.
Your 2 Z32's might be the best option though.
I worked in a oil laboratory for several years - so I know oils.
Eveyone has their own opinion - but I wouldnt use recyled oil ( all cheap oil is recyled ) in a new big dollar engine.
Cheap shit oils for run in is an old wives tail. Run in needs full lubrication as everything is tight.
Good quality mineral oil for run in - approx 500 -1000 km.
Then either stick with the good mineral oil or go fully synthetic.

Thats the question - where is peak power. If it makes peak power at 7000 then no point reving it past that, if its 8000rpm etc etc. Where ever the power starts to drop off is where you want to shift into the next gear - otherwise your slowing down :-)
Im looking for some info on clutch options for my car. I want a very streetable user friendly clutch if possible, nothing thats on or off. Got to be able to pull away from the lights at low revs with stalling :-)
My OS Giken sprung centre twin plate is on the way out and was always a dog anyway. So what are the options available ( if any ) that will handle 700 bhp.
Open to suggestions and feedback.
Cheers
WTB: RB25 R34 Neo non turbo head or complete engine - either.
Really just need the head with covers ( no plenum or manifolds required) but will consider a whole engine if price is right.

bazr33 - I made 400 rwhp with that same turbo, 0.82 ex housing, 550cc injs, Q45 AFM, Apexi PFC, 24 psi.
Mine had prepped 26 rods, and forged pistons and braided lines :-)
