    I have a NEO head on RB30 bottom end, running HKS 272 / 9.35 cams. Im using the the R33 CAS with the cams, as its in a R33 4 door with power fc. Like Adriano said, they are a smaller combustion chamber with VCT on the inlet only, not that Im using it. As for stricnynel0s, dont stress too much about the VCT as RB26's dont use it and they make enough power with out it :-)

    Yeah Id go the GTR rods with new ARP bolts. I had mine shot peened, resized and linished - but for all that you can buy new forged rods. So prob just use the GTR rods with new bolts. ACL and there double spiral locks - what a pain in the arse they are.

    As I am running R33 RB26 cams I have to use the R33 CAS. Adriano is correct with the R34 GTT head having smaller combustion chambers - mine is running 8.5:1 with ACL forgies.

    I only got the head with std cams - no cams gears. But it looks as if they only have VCt on the intake like R33. They have no drain back on the exhaust side like R33 either. I am not using the VCT as I am running HKS 272 / 9.35 cams. The R33 plenum bolts straight up, as I am using a CPC Plenum that used R33 runners.

    The R34 GTT head has the same intake and exhaust stud pattern as R33. I am using one on my engine.

    the r32 rb25de head is a direct bolt on - It does have smaller ports and valves than the r33 rb25 head though - more like rb20 size

    from memory I think its the VG30 bolts that fit the RB30, or could be the SR20 :-) Either way its easy to figure out which are the ones with a few measurements. Most aftermarket rods for RB30 use ARP 2000 cap screws, 3/8 thread, 7/16 head and 1.5 thread length ( from the bottom of the head )
