  4. yeah sorry - just emailed you before though :-)
  5. please explain your theory on how the rb25 " doesnt quite stack up to a rb20 " Is it the small ports and valves of the RB20 you like, or the 25% less cubic capacity
  6. I have a set used HKS email me [email protected]
  7. you can use an RB26 crank and pistons. Though it only increases your capacity by around 100cc
  8. I have never used restrictors on RB25 VCT heads as I have never experienced any issues, but definitely use them on RB26 heads.
  9. Why would you be using restictors with the RB25 head ?
  10. JMCY - are to talking about oil restrictors in the block ?
  11. Apart from the intitial purchase price difference in the RB20 to RB25, all other modification prices should be the same. RB20's are a strong engine, no doubt. Anyone who drifts a stock engine is always pushing the engine design to its limits :-) and will come unstuck at some point in time. " Will the RB25 make more grunt everywhere, yes. " is basically what I was saying from the start.
  12. still got one
  13. Where do you think the 13.3mm difference in stroke is going ?
  14. I have a couple email [email protected]
  15. CP make two types 8.5:1 and 9.0:1. One has a flat top with zero deck height and the other has an 11cc ( from memory ) dome.
  16. No they are 8.5:1 in the RB30ET engine, so when used with the RB25 head they come in around 8 depending on combustion chamber size. I have used them in my RB30 with R34 Neo head ( it has a 58cc chamber ) and comp has worked out at 8.4:1 You are correct in what you said if you use the std oem turbo piston from the VL RB30ET. They were around 7.5:1 std I believe. Best to use the CP pistons like I sell.
  17. dude an RB25 short motor goes for around 1500-2000. With the right turbo comb you can easlily get 300 rwkw and the rebuild will cost you the same or less. RB20's have an inferior head/port design, smaller valves, less cubic displacement, hence less torque. Basically your wasting your dough rebuilding the 20 when you can rebuild an Rb25 or for a bit more you can build a real engine RB30det. Im just trying to point you in the right direction and get you the best bang for buck.
  18. got to watch those cracks - I have some
  19. Best option is to turn the RB20 into a crab pot. Put all that money into rebuilding an RB25 and bang that in.
  20. I had gt30 with 0.82 ex housing, external gate. Made 300rwkw at 21 psi. Very streetable. I would put some prepped RB26 rods in just for extra security as RB25 rods arent as well designed.
  21. both work well and I have used both - if your going mls buy good quality ones
  22. I have a set of S2 front bar indicators email [email protected]
