I believe a lot of Jun cams run a smaller base circle than std size. This means you need to buy there shim kit also to make up the difference.

you can not run a cam gear on the inlet on rb25 vct, they are different to the std gears. The inlet cam gear is what actually adjusts the cam timing on the VCT engine.

problem is - if your cams havent been degree'd in properly than me saying 2 degrees advanced or retarded made all the difference might not get the same result for someone else as there cams are in different positions on the factory marks. So best thing to do in your situation is like Sydney Kid said - just play around on the dyno until the desired result is obtained.

I hear what your saying Gary. But I like to know where Im starting from when advancing or retarding on the dyno. As you know factory marks could be a couple degrees either way. There's no real advantage like you say - but its piece of mind. I look at it as just one of those things that shouldnt be overlooked, like working out your comp ratio and piston to valve clearencesetc. But thats just me :-)

You cant run gtr valve springs and or lifters in an RB25 vct head - without serious mods Due to the different valve spring heights ( hence different spring seat heights ) and difference in lifters ( one being hydraulic and the other solid ).

I have one, no turbo and or injectors as I will be selling the HKS 2540 and 600cc injs seperatley. Its currently in my S1 and I will be pulling it out in a weeks time for my RB30/25 swap.
