Sucks dude.... I had a courier mofo knock over my brand new GSXR 1000 K8 in the city a few months back...... damaged it real good. The wanker picked it up, dusted it off and then drove off. Luckly someone on a smoko break saw it and wrote me a letter. Ask around - maybe someone saw it happen?

Proper engine rebuilds are costly. I recommend sourcing a long rb20/rb25 motor from a wrecker with warranty. Shouldnt cost you more than $1200 for the engine or $2000 all up drive in /out and you can sell off the rest of your engine for about $250-500

Help Me Please
Drift Motorsport replied to LUME's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Go to Pedders and do the $40 suspension checkup - im sure they will find it and you can source the parts and them or a mechanic to fit it. -
R32 Gtr Front Upper Arms
Drift Motorsport replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
We are running D-Project ones in our R32 Drifter. They are based on the Midori Seibi design with bearings w/ lockable turnbuckle making them on-car adjustable. R33 ones are in the development phase. Bearings are stock shelf items and will take longer than bushed variants to wear out. They weigh 3kg each and are of steel construction with alloy ferrules and lock rings. I have a few sets in stock, ready for delivery at $425 Delivered Aust Wide. Pics & Info: More info on D-Project parts etc for skylines. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...amp;pid=4867153 Send me a PM to order -
Front is the same between R32 coupe and 4 door. Rear is different. You will need the Coupe lights and boot lid and a custom fit as the lights are different between 4 door and 2 door. Skirts are the same length, but they will need to be modified to fit on the 4 door to open the rear doors. Easy to do with a dremel or similar cuttting tool.

Double Clutching is basically pumping the clutch twice whilst changing gears to better match the engine speed to the input shaft speed on the gearbox. This was a handy technique with cars from the 1930s and so forth, that did not have a synchromesh gearbox that matches the RPMs on the gears for the gear change. Your R33 has a dual syncromesh on 1st and 2nd gear and a single on the rest. Double clutching a modern gearbox (even a modern dog box) is a waste of time and does not really yield in any results. Regarding the cllutch - the increased foot pressure is due to an increase in pressure in the clutch cover diaphram. You may have a twinplate clutch or similar if he paid 2750. If he has a single plate clutch, he got ripped off on the install and parts. Hey Guys, I've upgraded to a MoTeC M800 with all the fruit for the RB30/26 and I never got to use my R32/R33 GTR Power FC. This is a Personal Sale of my own good and not drift shop. Specs: R32 / R33 GTR Power FC (All R32 and R33 GTRs) Model Serial Number: PFC GTR33L 020-1605 MADE IN JAPAN. I bought it for $1650 a while back for my RB30/26 conversion, but I've now bought a MoTeC M800 to run all of my cars instead of having 3 Different ECUs. The beauty of the MoTeC is that you can change the engine config via the software to suit 4/6/8/etc within 60 seconds. Since I can only drive one car at once, - it made sense to have the best ECU and swap it out between each car. Your price: $1199 Delivered. Pics: Item is packed in the original Apexi Box. Bank: Commonwealth Bank Australia Name: Costa Tsimiklis BSB: 063106 Account: 10280429 Amount: $1199 Delivered Please use your SURNAME as a payment description, or your postcode if you can only enter numbers. Roy, I believe the tyres would have had a huge impact on the time. Brakes to improve your time as long as you use them correctly and get on the gas quicker. Your lap times will slow if you are heavy on the brakes and hard on the acceleration because the distance you are covering at speed is reduced dramatically compared to a proper entry and exit with a constantly increasing throttle.

How much do you think it shoudl be? I may be heading up this year

Great manifolds, worth the money for a serious car focused on reliability and performance. -

Please PM me to get my email address for the pics. Pick up is not a problem if its what im after and the rails are not too fcked etc. -
Need A New Clutch?
Drift Motorsport replied to R31Nismoid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
auss13, Centreforce make a clutch that has weights that move in / out of the diaphram fingers. Its a bit of a wank in my view. It makes sense from an engineering standpoint, however the realistic benefits of a clutch would be slim to none in terms of performance gain. Pics: I've used Jim Berry clutches and I think that they are the best single you can get for the money. Once you start talking twin and other multiplate clutches - its a different ball game all together. Contamination would ruin any clutch, regardless of the cost. Make sure that the installer does the good job - otherwise its money down the drain. The benefit of a Jim Berry Clutch is that he can re-puck the clutches quite cheaply compared to the outright unit. -
Split/cracking Sidewalls On Tyres
Drift Motorsport replied to Omurru's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The chain store manager shouldnt have told you to f-off, but rather sold you a new set with a discount as you needed the tyes anyway. Great way to loose business! Remould tyres are prone to cracking if the production process is not done correctly. Basically they keep the steel radial inlay and re-mold new rubber over the top. Chances are that this place banged out heaps of cheap and defective tyres before they shut down and the re-sellers are getting a lot of complaints. Chase it up with the store again and see if you get a different manager/staff member to help you out. If that doesnt work, call head office and complain and hopefully you can get a new set 10% above cost or heavily subsidised. -
Installing 'pineapples'
Drift Motorsport replied to pavel's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hi Roy, You are free to install the product in any way that you wish. From a safety point of view, ensure that each subframe nut has at least 2-3 threads showing and is tighted to the correct torque spec. We firmly recommend that all 8pcs are installed as instructed. -
Front Strut Braces
Drift Motorsport replied to Adz2332's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
R33 GTST braces will fit on any R33 GTR as the plenum is smaller and on the side on the GTR. GTR Braces may not fit GTST due to the RB25 plenum being up and over the rocker covers. -
Steering Rack Bushes
Drift Motorsport replied to Omurru's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hello, the Drift Motorsport bushes are the D-Project ones that we sell on eBay as well as other forums as D-Project. The black bushes can be a bit challenging to fit - because of the metal inlay-rubber setup. They have been designed to be compressed by the mounting strap so that the rack is locked in to place. I will be doing a complete BLOG of our R32-R34 front 4 door RB30/26 drift car buildup over the next few months with all of the Suspension setups and products that we will be using. You can find more information here on our D-Project ns.com thread: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...amp;pid=4645329 Pictures of the D-Project Bushes: Total: $85 Delivered We are currently working on a new CMS / Web Cart system where all installation instructions, info and so forth will be made publically available online. Please PM your order via SAU or email. To order simply PM us on SAU on the Drift Motorsport account. -
Cheaper R35 GTR Solution: 1. Move to Japan HK NZ 2. Buy GTR 3. Live there for 1.5 years 4. Personal Import and compliance 5. ?? 6. Profit At the end of the day, theres heaps of people with coin that will buy a GTR even at 220k. With the exchange rate being the way it is, I doubt you can get a grey import cheaper than 170k as you still have to pay LCT, duty, GST, freight, compliance, stamp duty, etc. You will have no warranty or support from Nissan Aust. Look on the bright side.. in 10 years they should hopefully be 1/4 of their value today.

Warranty on gearboxes will also be something that new owners would want to consider, with replacements costing at least 12k USD.

Installing 'pineapples'
Drift Motorsport replied to pavel's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Our testing shows that the Urethane Whiteline / generic pineapples do hardly anything in comparison to the alloy subframe bushes. The Urethane bushes act as a rubber spacer between the subframe and the factory bushes. This does stop some axel tramp, but does not fix or remedy shagged subframe bushes. The alloy subframe bushes compress and mould the factory subframe bushes back to centre for more stability and alignment. I have yet to notice any gains in angling the subframe over installing all 8 pcs of the alloy bush sets. The D-Project bushes have the notch cut out on the top so that you DO NOT need to drop the whole subframe down to install. Instructions are provided to all customers on request. Pavel, it is recommended that you install all 8 pcs as provided. We do not recommend angling the subframe by removing some of the alloy pieces. -
has this car finally sold, ie: cash received and car gone?

Hey Guys, Time to build up our Silvia and Skyline drift cars up! We already have a 4 door skyline, but we would also like a 2door skyline for our BEE*R R32-34 conversion kit that we have arriving soon. Non-complied, non turbo, no engine, auto/manual etc is OK as this will be a track only car. Some panel damage is fine, as long as it is not structural and can be fixed up without much fuss. If it needs a new rad support or beaver panel, then the price must cheap enough for us to considser the shell/car. I would only like a GTS or GTST shell to start with. Please no GTR or GTS4, 4wd cars unless they are super cheap! Please PM me with your wares! Nice Build! What needs to be done to the tail shaft to get the RB25 box fitted to the R32? Total custom or Half R33 Half R32?
