  3. Spotted about 10 or so skylines in wollongong today. Best was a grey 32 gtr with a metal plate on the rear bar above the exhaust. It was parked at fairy medow macca's, cant remember the number plate though.
  4. Problem was faulty fuel pressure regulator. I put in a stock regulator and car runs perfectly now, no more clouds of black smoke on acceleration, no fuel smell and no gurgling or backfire on deceleration.
  5. I have also experienced this in a camry for about 2 months before my head gasket completly blew. You can check if there is any gasses going into the coolant by running the engine without the radiator cap on and checking to see if any gasses are bubbling out through the coolant. Either that or get your coolant system pressure tested. hope this helps.
  6. I might try another guage to see if there is any difference. A faulty guage should still show a consistrent reading during negative boost, mine is reading 50psi at 800rpm and then around 85psi at 1000rpm with very light throttle. I think there must have to be something wrong with the reg for there to be any change fuel pressure during neg boost.
  7. Hey guys, Im just after some help with my fuel pressure problem. I have an ajustable FPR installed on my R33 but im think is may be installed incorrectly. When the car is at idle the fuel pressure sits at 50psi, with light throttle (say 1200rpm) it jumps up to 85-90psi and then no further increase when on boost. This doesnt seem normal as my understanding is that idle pressure should be about 40psi and then increase to about 50psi with 10psi of boost. I have tried ajusting the reg as far as possible with no change in pressure. The only things i thought may be the problem are incorrect fuel line connections or faulty FPR. My FPR has a fuel line comming from the front of the fuel rail into the side of the reg then a hose comming out the bottom to the return pipe (see photo). If this correct or is my FPR faulty? Any help would be great. Cheers JONO

  11. theres enough room for a 3mm spacer, mabie 5mm at the most. I might have to do that until I can get some adjustable upper arms and adjust my camber to positive 1 or 2 degrees. are you using 3mm spacers?
  12. hey adrian, is it safe to run these tyres with the space between the trye and the shock absorber spring seat being only 7mm or should i be using a spacer as you said i might need too.
  13. Picked up my pair of 255/50R16's from adrian today. They look very good indeed.
  14. Spotted a very nice black 34 gtr parked near wollongong harbour. RUFGTR was the nuber plate I think.
  15. Had my first time out on the track at wsid on wednesday. I managed a 14.258 @ 100.66mph and 60ft of 2.349. I have stock r33 s2 except for 3" turbo back exhaust and cooler. I think my 18's and street tyres held me back alot.
