  1. PM sent too! I'll take it!
  2. My old S2 RS V (that is now owned by MIKE) did an Apexi RSM 0-100 time in the high fives - repeatedly. Best was 5.70 stalled on brake to 2500rpm. Quarter time only run once when a little out of tune and ran 14.34 on the RSM. That was with 12psi, GTR 'cooler, only 2.5" exhaust and stock airbox. RWD an less kg's mean much better performance than RS4... With the SAFC2 I put on it, a decent tune, and maybe 14psi on a cold night it would comfortably crack a mid 13 at a sticky track... C'mon MIKE, do it!
  3. We'll miss this machine... When Mike gets to take it thru the 'hills down there when nobody's around, and he finds close the limits of those brakes and coils, he's gonna shake all over....! But don't push it too far mate! With same weight and not much less poke than the GTR33 I've driven, it's an exhilirating car, and a better handler all round. Those who think the rwd makes Stags unstable haven't driven a well sprung one like this car! I'll stick to the 13.7 sec NA Honda for a while... but I'm sure to be back behind an RB one of these days! Country comfort calls! Should pick up our XT this week! Euro just not quite practical enough for the kids and the mutt!
  4. GTR34 - 0-60mph or 0-97kmh in 5.6 seconds?????? Somebody can't use a stopwatch!?! In 400m this wagon, nice as it is, would be about 6 to 8 car lengths back.... Wagons might be the new black, but lets get our numbers right.... and these are amazing for a VW, even for a wagon, but not for any GTR with 4 tyres! (Even my boxy sled does 5.70 on my Apexi RSM!)
  5. Veyron like a pirhana... effective, frightening... but UGLY! I also like the FD RX7, but since we're talking THIS century I go budget conscious (and prob very unpopular as it's not a sports car or rwd) and say the new....... VW Scirocco. Mmmm... exterior and interior... class! Just needs the RS4 V8! (tried to post pic but upload didn't work!)
  6. You know the one. I'm sure S2 and S1 are same. I'll pay someone postage if you have a spare or know where I can find the part!!! Got the top brace... just need the other arm! Arrrgghh! (Cleaning her up for sale and lost it!) Ta!
  7. HiPower's CRX is non-turbo and has made an impressive go at circuit times of late. I think it holds the lap record at QR!?! There's more than one way to skin a cat (or an apple!). But every way has its merits!
  8. When you go to the drags, there's a lot of cars that do slower times than this little Type R Civic would, and yet are a lot less streetable and look a lot more (scary) incomplete. It's an impressive little car with a lot of potential. There's just as many youtube clips with hondas getting smashed, don't worry! I enjoy all of it... Run what ya brung!!! But to be a Nissan rules and all else is mud kinda guy, I may as well be a typical one-eyed Holden lover - V8's to the death kinda thing!?!?!?! I'm a car lover - some more than others - some not much at all (read Hyundai/Kia/Pontiac/Holden etc!). It accelerates.... it must be partly good!
  9. The question is not whether the comparison was fair or not... is it interesting??? Yes! Does it give a little perspective??? Uhuh! Does a heavy supercar killer like the GTR35 make some compromises for luxury and pride of ownership??? Yes, they all do, to a greater or lesser degree! Power divided by weight = speed! (roughly speaking) Am I biased??? Uhuh, I love Hondas! Should a diehard GTR lover appreciate the obtuse end of the automotive envelope? I think so! Also, check this link out........ http://tunersource.gmblogs.com/Drag-Racing/gary-gardella FWD 4 cyl Honda drag cars are in the 7's, and the FWD record holder, as far as I'm aware, is quicker than the world's fastest GTR... (see times in above link) Not bad from 2.2L...
  10. SAFC2 bought. To be installed soon! 300rwhp on the way I'd guess... Compare features with any of other S2's on SAU right now. Power/Handling/Kit/km's/Driftable Offers/Trades considered
  11. Whoa! What modifications are we talking??? Obviously, RB26, worked, big fuel/boost/turbos etc. Do tell! Very impressive effort... Finally a Stag in Aust is taken down the Qtr! Which track? What boost? Post up your slip if you have it! Love to see your 60ft and half track times... Congrats! I'd say you've got more to come, esp. if you can drop ur weight and risk some semi's or slicks. 10's on the way I'd say!
  12. PM's replied to... SAFC2 going on next week! More timing, safe fuel and even better tune! Will sell for cheaper without Impul Recaro front chairs or diff or wheels! GTT performance, better handling, more features, ideal family turbo car! Going on carsales soon... (after SAFC2!)
  13. Ta Shane... PM sent!
  14. Looking for some A/F Ratio control so I can use a little more timing and smooth out my power curve! Ta! PM me or post offers here!
  15. I may be able to make it if the Stag doesn't sell by then... Want to take it down the strip before then if possible too! I'll regret it if I don't...
  16. 3Bump... Some interested parties. Not ideal for us atm but swaps may be considered! Here's a pic of the back with the Dolphin rear light eyelids!
  17. 2bump... Offers Considered... Am ready to put Apexi SAFC2 on it now, so price unlikely to drop significantly! Come and drive it and you will see ... a true Skyline RWD Wagon (with drift diff!)
  18. Model: 1998 Nissan Stagea RS V - S2 Milage: 71,000 km Transmission: Tiptronic (with Steering Wheel Shift buttons) Colour: Full Respray Platinum Silver Location: Tweed/Gold Coast Currently registered: November 2008 (NSW) Price: $20,900 Contact: PM me or call 0410420829 Standard Features 2.5L NEO 6 cylinder Turbo RWD - with switchable Traction Control Auto Climate Control Air-Con (Regassed 4 months ago) Power Steering Power Windows Central Locking Electric Folding Mirrors ABS Dual Airbags Anti-bacterial Steering Wheel (what the?) At 1540kg it is 110 - 150 kg lighter than most RSFours depending on options. Genuine Dolphin Full Bodykit Dolphin Bar Grille (Chrome) Dolphin Roof Panels (to delete ugly black rails on stock Stageas) Nismo Exhaust Strut Tower Brace K&N panel filter (Brand New) Mongoose immobiliser (Australian Standard - New) High End Sony CD/MD Player and Speakers Apexi Rev Speed Meter (0-100,0-400m,Revs,Km/h etc) HKS EVC4 Electronic Boost Controller Blitz Turbo Timer Only owned for 5 months. Personal Import through J-Spec. Amazing condition inside and out. Has had 2 full dyno-tunes, before and after a fuss-free trip to Melbourne for Xmas, at Dyson Rotary at Labrador. Running 12 psi made 297rwhp (219kW) but have since backed it back to 255hp for wife to drive. Tuner says with SAFC2 ($250ish) would be able to advance timing and add fuel to make easily over 300rwhp reliably. Even he was surprised at power of car. Uses fully synthetic oil, had new plugs and filters (air and oil) fitted this week, 2 new tyres yesterday and is very well looked after. There are so many features on this car and I have been made many separate offers for the brakes, the diff, the front seats, the roof rail covers, the wheels, and the coilovers. The car is being advertised for a short period of time as we have been struggling with what to do about the suspension. Because we live on a bumpy country roads and a steep driveway, my wife is tired of the Teins and the height of the car. We have looked at plenty of options with suspension swaps and Bilsteins etc, but decided to advertise the car in the short term to see if there was any interest before swapping out the Teins. If we lived in Brissie still we would not be having this discussion, but for me, it seems like a car set up this well should have the suspension to go with it!!! This car is as quick at my 2 Skylines that I previously owned and handles much better. It stops unbelievably, wags it's tail so predictably and securely, is quiet, comfy and nimble. My wife loves it but can't drive locally any longer on these roads... Make a very close offer and it may be yours. Went on the last SEQld Cruise and I know there are a few guys who could explain how clean it is! Sure you can import a stocky now for $13K but then add $2-3K for alarm, insurance rego, tyres etc and tuning. What do you think the brakes, diff, seats, coilovers, electrics etc would set you back? $7-10K? Call to view. Will travel a little north to show car to genuinely interested people from Brisbane. Not parting out. No trades considered.
  19. Just sent email to you Matt! Same email I sent nearly 3 weeks ago to try and get your account/payment details so I can pay for my shocks. You said your Dad was to busy to be checking emails but this has been some kind of teeth-pulling exercise... All I want to do is pay for it!
  20. Great Stuff! What would be really great is for someone in Australia to start taking their Stageas down the quarter so we can see how all these power figures translate into real world acceleration and performance... Please? Anyone? I'm going to do it in the Autumn/Winter sometime for sure! What boost level were you running?
  21. 1. Choose your sound preference... I prefer exhaust growl to pod sucking sound! Pod would need to be encolsed to be legal and provide extra power. 2. There are kits for RB 25DET around. Most likely yes! S1 and S2 may differ. 3. Don't know. Would like to know! 4. Don't know. Think R33/34 exhausts would bolt up though??? 5. Pretty sure you'll get a different answer from almost everyone. Unfortunately although there are many threads on this, nobody has ever been to the track with a GTech Pro or similar, a stock S1 RS4, a stock S2 RS4, a stock S2 RS4S (manual), a stock S2 RSV (rwd - 110kg lighter) and a stock (!) 260RS. Now that would be interesting! For what it's worth these are my 0-100 estimates, having been in a few... S1 RS4 - 8.2 secs S2 RS4 - 7.6 secs S2 RS4S - 7.5 secs S2 RSV - 7.3 secs 260RS - 5.9 secs Add an exhaust, some boost and a front-mount and you'll drop a half a second to a second... People say that these cars are heavy, but my RSV is 1540kg which is 100kg more than a Ford Focus! Are you looking to buy or just wondering?
  22. What about an Auto Neo Stagea ...
