  1. Some good suggestions there ssshonky!!! for sping rates etc... If you look at the photo of the interior you can see clearly that the steering wheel in a Nismo sports style... very different to stocky... and if someone has a sonic silver (that's one of only 2 silver colours S2 stageas come in) S2 Stagea then a quick switch and nobody gets stung. For the other confused respondants, like yokotas13 I am importing the Stagea (my third personal import) because 1. the Camry is a slug, 2. the Stagea has 220+kW (with GTR cooler, boost,Nismo exhst, etc), 3. it is RWD and weighs 110kg less than an AWD model, 4. it has nice big wheels, 5. carries a load better than my last 2 Skylines (with better power to weight!), 6. is clean and straight and 7. has only 60,000km and (secret reason no.8!) because it's cheaper than an Audi RS4 Estate... They, as far as I can see it, are the good reasons to buy a Stagea over a Forester XT or Falcodore Wagon! The body and susp. mods, while a wonderful bonus, are not the real reasons (although they may make some money back for a highflow!)! I am not changing any parts to comply the car - that's cared for... I am forecasting that the suspension/seat/18's combo may not suit the roads where I live and where my wife will drive our kids around - pending actually driving it first. When you live on a poorly constructed and maintained piece of hilly and narrow blacktop, coilovers and a low bodykit are not going to improve the driving experience (I have only just sold my last modified car which had adjustable coilovers and on the softest setting they were still less than fun). A car on hard sussie on bumpy roads, as country drivers know, will sooner or later, become a squeeky old rattlebox. I want it to last, and retain it's smooth-cruising qualities. If you are genuinely interested in the parts, if I choose to sell them, please send me a PM! The steering wheel is the only change I have to organise myself... any more ideas Stag community?!? HELP!
  2. Hi All, My new S2 RSV is being complied in Brissie at the moment. I have a few questions and issues, as well as potential offers for susp. and bodykit swaps and deals - pending actually registering and driving the car for the first time... 1. My first and most important issue is that I need a S2 Tiptronic Airbag Steering Wheel. Car has a Nismo sports st wheel fitted (looks brand new!) which I would gleadly do a deal on to get my S2 st wheel with the gearchange buttons... Can get one from Japan for $250 posted but haven't found one in good nick yet on Yahoo Japan and need one ASAP to comply the car... HELP! 2. The car has Tein adjustable coilovers (not sure which model yet) and I am pretty sure they will be a little firm for our family needs and so I will be selling them, or looking for a swap (with a little cash my way - or favours!) for some non-standard aftermarket (lower) springs and shocks. MORE ON THIS ONCE I DRIVE IT! 3. The car has a full Dolphin S2 body kit which is a little too low for our driveway. Looking to SWAP for a (sonic silver preferred!) Dayz bodykit, or maybe only the front bar. MORE ON THIS ONCE I'VE PICKED IT UP ALSO! 4. Car also has optioned Recaro Garage Impul front seats which we may not want. Again, we'll be driving it first to see, but if they're no more comfortable for my wife than standard S2 fronts then we'll have them up for sale soon... darrinspencer just got a pair from yahoo japan for $1600 delivered, after a wait, so my price would be a little lower than this considering I need some S2 standard seats in return. WILL UPDATE AFTER PICK UP... 5. Car has an aftermarket BOV fitted, which also may not be needed. Not sure of brand yet but looks like a HKS or Blitz... MORE TO COME! If anyone wants to get in early with offers or bids, that's fine, but please understand that I can't give a firm price until after I take delivery of the car... will post up more pics at a later date! ...And I need the Steering Wheel more than anything else right now!!! Ta!
  3. As title says... Need snorkel too. Somebody must have one of these lying around!!! PM Me!!! or post here . . . . . . . . . . . Ta!
  4. Where are you getting complied? And how long all up will it be from payment date to pick up (assuming 2 weeks to comply and register!)??? I ask b/c I have put my money down on my S2 just over one week ago and I'm trying to figure out an approximate "baby come home" date!!! Mine may take a little longer as I have to register it in NSW... as I live just over the border... iijj
  5. Please? Anyone going to have thier tip steering wheel off this week? iijj
  6. Does an R34 St Wheel (Tiptronic with buttons) fit on a stagea??? If so, part no??? Please!?! iijj
  7. Yeah, Zaffa's StWheel is sold... Just after the part number so I can buy one through a contact in Japan (hopefully cheaper than Yahoo if possible)!!! Ta! iijj
  8. As title says I am looking to swap back to a standard Tiptronic S2 Steering wheels on my (incoming) Stagea and it needs to be the one with the buttons to shift gears (with the thumbs!). I need the part no. to source one from Japan! After I give the part no. to my supplier and I get the price I may put up a WTB thread for one here in Oz if I think the price will be not too dissimilar here in Australia... Appreciate any assistance. Are they a Momo wheel? Are they all black? Ta... iijj
  9. GorGasm... Your car seems very similar to the car I'm waiting for. Similar mods etc. Mine has Brembos, but no SAFC and SITC - which I'd love! I'm hoping for a similar 180+rwkW figure! You used the words 'at the strip'. What quarter mile time does your car do? That's the sort of info I've been looking for! iijj
  10. Just purchased a S2 RSV (RWD) Tiptronic in Japan. Won't see it for 10 (ish) weeks but would love to see some real data. Not dynos, quarter times! According to the british website with specs the AWD S2 is 1650kg and the RWD S2 is 1540kg - a difference of 110kg (or my BIG little brother in the passenger seat!). Sunroof models are heavier again I imagine. (Check out this website - http://www.cars-directory.net/specs/nissan/stagea/1998_8/ ) Having owned 2 R33 GTST's (5 speeds) with basic mods, and considering the power to weight should be better in the Stagea, I'll definitely be taking her down to Willowbank to check things out when she arrives. It has a RSM (Apexi) on it so I may even get an idea before the trip to Ipswich... The Stag has more mods than my other Turbo cars so it won't be a completely level playing field, but would love to see what other RWD's (and AWD's) have actually run with or without mods. The car has plenty of fruit - Impul Recaros, bodykit, 18's, hks bov, ttimer, R33GTR brembos all round, Tein Super street height adjustable coilovers, Nismo stwheel, boost gauge etc. Perf Mods include GTR cooler, Nismo exhaust, hks ebc and pod. It's really my wife's car but should make the long trips and family outings a little more enjoyable than in our current 2.2L Camry wagon! From what I've seen and read I presume the Stagea will have around 170-180rwkW on low boost with these mods!?! I'd say the Camry has about 68fwkW...... Finally, at the track, with good rubbery surface, the RWD should be closer of the line to the AWD but still would play catch up and hope that the weight catches up with it before the 402m is done! And the drivetrain on a RWD should cop less punishment too! My 2 cents worth... All theory as yet I'm afraid... iijj
  11. Looking for a Series 2 Airbag Tiptronic (with buttons for gearchange) Steering Wheel to get my Stagea complied! PM me please! 2484 postcode Ta! iijj
  12. I'll take the gear knob if it's for a 5 speed manual GTS25T. Check your PM! iijj PS Haven't got an R33 steering wheel in good nick have you!?!
  13. Anyone!?!? iijj
  14. Sorry! Live in Gold Coast / Tweed Coast area! iijj
  15. Just put a 3" exhaust on my car which runs well and sounds awesome - just too LOUD! Need just a baffle-type 3" muffler to slot between the cat-converter and the rear cannon! Used or new! Also be interested in a 3" highflow cat if anyone has one lying around! Ta! iijj
  16. B U M P . . . iijj
  17. After an aftermarket or bolt-up 3" or 3.5" catback! Also would consider a used hi-flow cat and/or front pipe! Prefer NNSW or SEQld... iijj
  18. Not sure if you would be interested but I'd consider a swap for my wheels (from an R33 GTST) with a small cash sweetener. They are similar Japanese lightweight rims by Black Racing - like new! Fronts - 18x8" New Toyos - 90% (235/40/18) Rears - 18x9" Cheap Oz Tyres - 80% (235/40/18 - so I don't need to roll guards!) PM me if this interests you at all - these rims are valued in excess of $2K! iijj
  19. bUmP Had a few offers and waiting on one person to sell something... Any others 17 folk who want to trade up??? iijj
  20. Surely there's someboby wanting to spend a few extra bucks to swap their already nice, but not-so-special rims for these lightweight, quality Japanese performance wheels... iijj ................................................................................ ........................
  21. Here are (poor angle) pics! These photos don't show the dish but give you some idea! iijj
  22. Item: Set 4: Black Racing Pro-N1 Rims 18x8, 18x9 Location: Brisbane/Tweed Heads Item Condition: Like New (One tiny mark on one front rim!) Reason for Selling: Need something similar but with cash! Price and Payment Conditions: Swap or $2000+ offers Extra Info: Wheels are Matt Black, lightweight and are either made by 5Zigen or at least designed by 5Zigen. I'm not sure!?! Tyres are brand new fronts - Toyo 235/40/18 Rears are cheap remoulds but 90% tread. 255's or 275's would fit the rims better on the back than the 235's! Do a search for these rims on Google and you'll see they have quite a bit of dish and look tough! The 18x8/18x9 sizes are very rare! I'm really hoping to find someone willing to swap for a set of nice 17's with good tyres (and $600ish cash!) or cheap 18's with good tyres (and $300-400ish cash!). Preferrably between Brissie and Byron Bay! Contact Details: PM me please! (PM pics of proposed swaps, too!) Currently fitted to S1 33 GTS-T iijj (Haven't had any luck posting pics yet!)
