    yes I am. however I always keep the ap348a in stock for you guys. a PM is all that is needed to get one sent out.

    it will have to be a pansonic based disc. whereis do the mapping side of it. as an example I cannot put a VDO disc in mine -it looks at it then spits it back out.

    depends on the insuarnce company. just cars are a mixed bag. they do require an aust stds immobilser as part of the policy. but I usually do alarms as they make a bit more noise than a 'stay put' device. that said whoever does it needs to hide the thing. no point spending $2-300 on one so I can come by and remove it in 30 secs. it takes me 5-10 minutes to get at my own alarm installs...

    the software isnt screen format dependent. try contacting panasonic firs then give the whereis people a call. the maps are $390 for the blau version that I have ( just bought a new map for mine.)

    same thing. lower seat first and then two 10mm bolts on the bottom of the seat back then it slides up and out.

    did the car start BEFORE you played with the stereo. how long did you have the doors open? 20-30 minutes on a crap battery will cause this. as for fuses - both are under the dash. did you chop the radio plug off? series one or series 2? need more info really.

    if its the stock one then I would pop the control unit out and resolder a few joints on the board.

    pop the A/C vents out and remove the screws . pop the shifter panel out and remove those screws. pull the unit out. then send me a pm for a AP348A.( antenna adapter)

    works as a pigyback to anything really. so it depends on what you want to spend. fellow here in brissy designs them and they are built in korea. mongoose would be my pick as its best suited to these cars.

    actually thats a very good description of how to do it. works on pretty much any car. more photos could help if you decide ti rewrite it.

    ever heard of ROK STRAPS? $13 and they clip it into place. do a google on it and if you like what you see - then PM me.

    what does it do exaclty? if the switch doesn't work properly or works erratically then its a good possibility that the control box in the door ( and NOT the switch assy.) has a few loose connections. what year 33?

    as I said to you in person. the whole thing will have to come out and from there it can be diagnosed. honestly sounds like a bad connection to me. the face dropping down is what baffled me as they generally don't do it. most of the raidos wont operate below 11v and if they do its not for long.

    IF you can find one the toyota dealers used that module in the celica and a few other cars from 96-99. may be worth a shot. as for programming it- any alpine dealer may still have te manuals for a 8040 or 8041 and they will be able to program it.

    that module is an old alpine alarm. show me the remote.

    he's a bit confused. fosgate is fosgate still. Lightning Audio WAS owned by fosgate but has been sold. so the US based items are still good. I deal with lightning audio and to me its every bit as gutsy as the upper fosgate amps that is it actually designed from. may want to get your mate to check with the distibutor. the above was told to me via the fosgate rep I deal with.

    if youa re the one I spoke to on friday I do nto see it costing that much. (toowong area) if you are someone else theres a chance I can fix it IF its aftermarket. fire me a PM.
