yep. it was more common in the GTRs than the GTs. the S2 cars had it factory and some had a combined key that had the remote built into it like the 34.
need a freq converter. bit more than $20 - $28 actually.
I have them here. you may also need two antenna adapters to get it to work and fit properly.
what car?
looks like the one I pull from 32,33 GTR's . thats a dealer fit item. the FACTORY fit one is the one I described. I like the dealer one as it gives me an actuator to work with when I do alarms in those cars. I keep the siren as it makes a good lights on reminder.
actaully the better one is the logan toll gates at stapylton rd. 91 in a 60 and $250 4 points. cop was out of view and I was going through the tolls at speed like I always do ( I have a e tag) and look up - bang. cunning spot and its marked, lit and designated as a police area. may want to look at that in your case before you try to contest it.
if you need the rear useable I would suggest a false floor and a sub in the wheel well. Invert the tyre and you should be able to make the box removeable so you can keep the tyre in place. how good are you with wood work?
cablling IS NOT a problem in these. remove the drivers inner guard and there is a decent sized grommet there. (same as a 34 ,33 and 32.)
you need a charging regulator to do the job properly - about $400 or so from a 4wd shop. decent cable to connect it togetherand a decent battery. Optima or exide do decent dry cell items.
96+s2 has the control unit on hte passenger side beside the glovebox on the outside. glove box and panel have ro be removed to get at it. yours *MAY* be a dealer fit item ( I see a lot of these) and if you are lucky nissan *MAY* be able to rekey it. failing that - aftermarket is $100 for the whole unit with a boot release option.
erin,
its under audio express. white pages listing is under that. change went through about 3 weeks back due to incorporation.
cyrus,jon,
ta!
mushroom,
give me a ring and I'll see what I can do.
1300 283 469.
or rolled it out. had a fellow in parramatta that lost a S14 the same way. new car (2004 when I did it.) had quiktrack on it. no problems now.
in regard to theft of vehicles, if I wanted a lot of vehicles quickly which would I do: ( I have a light truck licence btw)
find a group of mates and go pinch a few cars all at once OR
pinch a flatbed. have a think about that one..
