  1. and depending on which autowatch unit you are looking it it will conform to aust stds. the mannix item I have seen branded under 3-4 names and have fitted several. work fine for the intended application. autowatch would be my pick.
  2. buy the amps if you are on a budget. they do well for the price. the splits sound decent but there are better out there. have fitted heaps of the stuff.
  3. just a thought. some of the 34's I have worked on had a factory immobiliser chip in hte key. may want to look at this BEFORE you buy the key as it will have to be programmed to teh car.
  4. two antenna system. the factory radio will switch between them to get the best reception.
  5. I see a 6-7 y/o pioneer unit. the Stacker will work with teh new ones so you can keep that IF it works. the bottom is a EQ/MD player from memory.
  6. connect it to teh TACH wire on the dash . set the alarm to read it and you are done.
  7. or make a new one. hacking the original up will do but doesnt work as well.
  8. R32 - 6" rear - 4x6 front R33- 6" rear 6" front. best brand to fit ( for a drop in anyway..) is clarion. R34 - see R33.
  9. they have two. the main one is in the rear. the once you see is the diversity one. blk/red is the ant amp control wire.
  10. if the sony unit you are getting has the CD controls on it - yes. you will need the AUX in box to do it. got a model number of the two? ( that way I can do a bit of googling.)
  11. yep several there. why not use the radio to turn it on? blk/red on the antenna.
  12. thing I used to do for comp cars was have the second battery isolate with the key off. that way you could run the stereo into the ground and still start the car. if you go this route make both batteries the same size.
  13. no cap. thats what the battery is for. a cap is a bandage for a bigger problem.
  14. this is the no nonsense way of doing it. have the current draw of the amplifiers handy ( or fuse ratings . ) if it has multiple fuses add them together. add that to the existing car battery and they will give you the correct one. look at: exide Absorbed Power ( i sell these - great battery.) optima oddesey.
  15. there is 12V memory there. you have a blown fuse. do a physical check ( remove and inspect.) every fuse. you shouldn't have an interior light currently. the fuse you are after should be outside.
  16. or bending a coathanger..
  17. blacky, are you just outside of wyong? if so theres one included. if I have the wrong person then send me an email and I'll fire a diagram back at you with a few of my notes on it.
  18. tis a cable on 90% of the units. as stated above the cable will make it act as a stacker. the only limitation you have is displaying track info.
  19. blk/red is the antenna trigger. are the factory plugs still on it? you should have 4 twisted pairs of wires. these are front and rear. the gtr has that annoying amp in the rear shelf that should have been bypassed already. red/blu is lights , should be a blue/? one that is +12v key and the other one should be a red.. ( haven't worked on a skyline for a few weeks so I can't remember the colours.) if the plugs are still on it buy an adapting plug and use that. makes life easier.
  20. audio express.. mainly the aeropro items.
  21. yep. pm/email me and I'll give you his number.
  22. yep sell the 6x9s and fit the 6.5" items. you will have to cut the rear shelf and that gets into the strut towers when you do affecting teh structural integrity of the car.
  23. quiktrak went into adminstration for another reason. when you are talking to alan ask him how much he lost on brant. r31 tt, pm me.
