If we can do this in winter...bring on summer ! I have this vision of all the Stageas, lined up on Moana Beach (in a half circle)..tailgates facing the water...at sunset !! ...what a pic ! Fish & Chips on the beach on a warm summers night. Sounds like I have been smokin' that weed ....I am a dreamer but watch this space ! "the OLD fella"

  11. This will be a "Rain, Hail or Shine Cruise"...as we have managed a warm private room I should get the menu today & will throw it up. We are hoping the "slower, nanna pace" and the "family...everyone is invited" will give this small section of SAU (& the media) a different perspective. (...not suggesting all cruises should be this way) "us OLD peeps"
  12. Shoot...which w/end is that on ?
  13. OK...we know Ruby had a try with a June date...so here goes.... Some of you know us and our many charity cruises with "that other forum" We previously mentioned we would like to organise a winter cruise with a Pub lunch included I found a hills pub today that is happy to give us a private room (no charge) and a 3 course lunch for $19/head.... we will have 3 choices, ring our choices through to them on the morning & your lunch will be waiting for you (in the private room) when you arrive. So lets have a crack at it,would you like to join us on a 2.5hr cruise followed by lunch then a 40min cruise back to the metro ? If you bring your kids, OLD Jules will have a surprise for them to enjoy on the drive. If the G/F, partner, missus usually stays at home...then this is one for her too. No we wont be driving hard...but there are some interesting roads included....YES that will mean, it will (then be) camera/video friendly...Ryan "the OLDS" - Jules & Mark PS...no this is not a charity cruise...just a family friendly cruise
  14. It is all very sad indeed....we all make mistakes ! I don't condone their actions but suddenly the whole world (incl import drivers) are full of drivers who have never committed a breach of the Road Traffic Act. You are right though Ruby people only remember us by our mistakes. "the OLDS - Jules & Mark"
  15. Agreed...despite the stagea's reputation, the genuine cruise objectives and mature behaviour, it would be a media frenzy at the moment. "the OLD peeps"
  16. Petition signed....I am sure Mr Rann really cares, he will be driven in a govt car for life OLD Mark
  17. FAMILY CRUISE ...beside the usual stagea runs, we spoke of doing a winter run ending up at a pub with an open fire ....(that would be nice) OLD Jules & I are wondinging your thoughts on a family cruise.....some of you have kids, some leave the g/f/partner behind ...what about ending up at a place where they could enjoy themselves eg Adventure Park, St Kilda, Gorge Wildlife Park etc - trying to make the cruise inclusive of everyone. You may not go to each cruise but there will be something for everyone ? What about a late arvo cruise in summer onto Moana beach....line up all the stag's on the beach at sunset (that would be a pic)... then have "fish & chips" sitting in the back of the stag's...far out these OLD peeps are getting carried away ! LOL We don't want to "ruffle any feathers"....So what are your thoughts..."have you guys been there and done that...Xed it off your list" ? "the OLDS - Jules & Mark"
  18. ...that would be brilliant..thank you O'Mark
  19. APOLOGIES for this question (remember we are OLD)...lol Today @ Lyndoch, O'Jules & I were talking (to someone) about stagea rear floor mats (for dogs) that flip out & protect the rear bar ...who was that ? ....do you know who sells them ? ...were they made for Stag's or a generic (one size fits all wagons) O' Mark
  20. Not sure about M35 vs C34 but there were exactly 20 stageas at the beginning @ Bunnings (we can do the headcount via the photo's) ...just done a quick pic headcount & I make it 6 M35's...maybe someone else can see more. OLD Mark
  21. Our pics Click "SLIDESHOW" when the link opens... OK go easy we are OLD so they may not be perfect but here is our contribution hopefully the OLD fella got a shot of everyone, at some time in the day O' Jules & Mark
  22. "I actually don't know what these cars are...do you ?"
  23. Just back from our first Stagea cruise...it was awesome ! Massive thanks to those who organised it as an "all terrain drive" cruise LOL ...well most of us had 4WD capability so that was OK (just joking) Seriously, we were humbled to meet such a delightful group of peeps who are so passionate about their cars. Your warm welcome into the group was greatly appreciated & (for us)it was heaps nice to see couples & kids on a cruise. We very much look forward to the next one ! (maybe we can be tempted into organising a winter cruise...end up in a pub with an open fire for lunch) "the OLDS" Jules & Mark
  24. Have printed the membership form off...will give it to you and the $$ at the Parafield meet point Ta "the OLD peeps"
