  4. Providing we get away on time (I will try to do this because of the heat) Group 1 should be finished (incl the stop half way) by 4pm. It will finish in the Athelstone/Newton area. Hope you can make it OLD Mark
  5. YES there is an unofficial Group 3...they are called the "tag alongs" ...the route map is very clear and the cruise has all left turns till the end ....so you will be fine and most welcome ! In answer to the "Ingle Farm" location ...it is 15mins from the cruise route beginning and as you have 75-90mins of hills driving, we didn't want to have another 30-45mins driving to get there. Unfortunately, I can't move the hills lol...wish I could sometimes. We GREATLY appreciate the effort everyone makes to attend....we know it is a full day's outing for some. Please go on the NS.com site NS.com linkand answer the new POLL questions for us. OLD Mark

  7. Hi Guys Just advising you all of the date of the next BEN SIMPSON MEMORIAL MEGACRUISE Since Ben (aka dr1ft_pig13) left us on 1st Feb 2005, we have held a memorial cruise on/near the date, to raise awareness of youth suicide. For the first time the cruise will fall on the exact anniversary of Ben's passing, so it will be bitter/sweet for us BUT we can think of no better way to spend the day. MEET AT: K-Mart Ingle Farm (bottom cnr near Hungry Jacks) TIME: 1pm meet and greet ( we hope to get the cruise started by 2.00pm) DONATION: Gold Coin for Youth Suicide Education/Awareness TRADITION: A Teddy Bear on an empty seat in your vehicle (Ben loved Bears' and we carry a sofy toy in/on your car in his honour NOT for donating) The route will be VERY enjoyable "driving"...if you enjoyed the route last year then prepare yourself for more challenges/fun driving, this year. As per last year we will split up into 2 groups. GROUP 1 will be experienced hills sli/drivers...it will be led by her200sx (aka Shannon), an awesome hills driver and one of Ben's closest friends...they will go first. GROUP 2 will be for less experienced & rookie hills drivers or those whose rides are not performing at their best...OLD Mark will lead this group (We will still complete the same route & have some fun driving) PLEASE invite all your friends to join us, the emphasis is on youth suicide awareness not fundraising... (although any donation will be welcomed) "the NS.com OLDS-Jules & Mark" "dr1ft_pig13 OLDS" PS I will be happy to provide letters for those needing a rego permit.

  9. We received this email letter of thanks today. Tomorrow (1st Feb), it will be 3yrs since Ben left us, we ask you to use this (memorial) day to tell those around you how much they mean to you & how much you care for them. To often we just too busy. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you all for your support....we could not have made it without you. OLD Jules & Mark White Wreath Association Ltd® A.B.N. 50 117 603 442 Action Against Suicide Ph No 1300 766 177 Mobile: 0410 526 562 1 February 2008 Nissansilvia.com, Skylines Aust, R31 Skyline Club and SA Rotors Members Dear Members On behalf of the White Wreath Assoc Inc – Action Against Suicide we “Thank You” for your kind support and are truly grateful for your donation to the White Wreath Association of $387.65 which is the proceeds of Ben’s Memorial Cruise. We know Mark and Julie Simpson are so proud of you all and in their own words “You are simply the best” You have assisted them in the best way possible of keeping Ben’s memory alive and bringing their tragic loss to the attention of all. We are all well aware that suicide is shockingly common, affecting almost every Australian family directly or indirectly. It can strike a child, a brother, a sister, a mother, a father, a grandparent or a co-worker. It can strike someone of any background. It can strike at any stage of life, from childhood to old age regardless of whether we are rich, famous or poor. No community is unaffected, no school or workplace untouched. The main aim of our Association is to raise sufficient funds to establish “Centres” places of safety for those when suicide threatens and create in the wider community a better understanding of suicide through National White Wreath Day – In Remembrance of all Victims of Suicide that is held on the 29 May yearly. Once again “Thank You”. Kindest Regards Fanita Clark

  11. Well what an unbelievable day !!!! The weather was excellent, the turn out was massive, in excess of 200 cars !!! We are truly humbled by your continual support of us and our cause Youth Suicide Awareness....Ben (like us) would have been deeply touched. Apologies if we did not get to speak to you personally...but to each and everyone of you please accept our sincere thanks for attending, donating and making it such an enjoyable day. In total we raised $387.65 which is unreal for a bunch of broke import lovers BUT we want to make it very clear, this cruise is NOT about $$$$$....its about raising awareness of this silent epidemic killing our youth....and the stikas and cruises certainly do that. Special thanks to those who made the effort to get permits and those who stayed on at the pub. Now we were asked today if we could post a pic of Ben for those who never knew him, it is not something we would normally do but on this special occasion, we will... "little OLD Jules & BIG OLD Mark" PS Absolutely loved the R31 shirts & the "bundy bear" cossy.....
