  4. "Has anyone heard of any sort of g/box additive that could help this problem ? Just a thought . " put in a tube of nulon G70, that should help it. i put in a tube of that with the last gear box oil change. just wondering, can you just add that tube in without doing an oil change?
  5. is it easy to change the diff oil? i've never done that before, and how many litres does it take?
  6. do a search on CAI and heatshield, should bring up a fair bit of stuff.
  7. got any pics of the 16" rims?
  8. you can use both. so its up to personal preference. i used brake cleaner. works a treat, even used it to get the gunk off my heatsink for the computer (for all u pc geeks who want to know).
  9. good to hear u made some use of the old engine doxximus. hey i remember seeing a thread with u selling ur old rims? they still available?
  10. if you get a 2.5" then make sure you get a good resonator and muffler that takes out the drone. else it will drone and annoy you! personally, next time around i'd get a 2.25", i think its a bit more responsive with a 2.25". guys my car might be for sale soon! new job means new car! yay!
  11. thanks for the reply guys. i used the socket trick and luckily the bolts werent on that tite and i got them off. went to autobarn and bought some normal nuts for $1.00 each. im happy now. at least i can get the tyres off if i get a puncture or something. next time i buy a car i'll make sure i get the lock nut key as well.
  12. good idea xeron, i'll give it a try tomorrow, after i get some normal nut to replace the lock ones. hopefully the socket doesnt get stuck on it or something hehe.
  13. hey guys, i just removed the centre cover of my alloys and found that its got a bloody lock nut and i didnt get the key with the car! so theres no way to take of my wheel in case i have a flat or something. i actually wanted to check out the brake pads. was wondering what can i do? i can't be bothered with a lock nut or anything because no one would want to steel my poor alloys. i think i can get it drilled out? any ideas? i dont want to pay a fortune either just to take my wheel off. thanks
  14. touch up paint shouldnt cost too much from nissan. i remember for my toyota it was only like $18 or so. they actually get it from patterson & co or something like that so you can go straight there.
  15. hey digsy_20, mate i would love to do a turbo conversion and just run standard boost. only problems is that it costs too much. plus i don't know how to do any of that myself so it would cost a fair bit for labour. i'm thinking it would cost like $2,500 all up parts and labour. it'll be easier for me to sell and buy a T.
  16. just the normal vl, vn etc v6 u can give a go. but don't bother with the SS, v8 etc, they will woop ur ass, just take off from the lights slowly so it doesn't look like ur trying
  17. if u want cheap, then goto autobarn as Pushead recommended. u can buy an adapter, bracket and k&n pod filter there for cheaps. easy to fit on. i might goto that forest hill one and check out the sale.
  18. my car is nearly at 110,000k's. i've been wanting to get it serviced and change the plugs and timing belt for ages now. just been going cheap and doing the oil change myself. went to my mechanic and he told me to buy the parts myself and bring it to him and he'll charge me labour. dunno if he knows what he's doing on my car though. anyone recommend a mechanic in melb with decent price? got the following from meggala's site: Belts Nissan Number AC Belt 11720-77A00 Alt/Fan Belt 11720-42L02 Pwr St belt 11950-58S01 Fuel Filter 16400 41B05 Aftermarket Number AC Belt 4PK910 Alt/Fan Belt 4Pk850 Pwr St Belt 3Pk845 Timing Belt:- 13028-20P25 8/93 to 2/98 13028-5L327 2/98 onwards

  20. hey neoGT, what do u mean when u say ur pod sounds weird?? when i use to have the k&n pod in, it use to make an awesome induction noise, i liked it. sorry to hear about ur car, sounds like ur engineer didnt do a good job of checking, any damage to the chasis is no good.

Hey Ait, i'm pretty sure its someone from the public who reported u, most likely a neighbour. i read in either the age or herald sun in the drive section that u can now report cars which u fink are too loud or have too much smoke coming outta its ass. they also posted the number which u should ring up, i fink all u need was the model of car and rego number and where u saw it.
