  1. damn, then maybe i don't have the slowest car here i don't think the rb20de would pull that well in a r33.. so its a race between funkymoneky and me to see whos got the 2nd slowest then
  2. hotsky, i think u'll have a 2.5 na, not a 2.0. i would go and take my car for a run if there are some na boys there to back me up as well.
  3. they guy at exhaust place said that i'd get better fuel economy with the new cat as well. i reckon i've done around 30k's less that what i use to get, maybe thats because i've been flooring it a bit to see the difference though
  4. sorry, forgot to mention, melbourne only. don't know what brand.
  5. he means that you would be LEET, as in elite
  6. eveything is still on the car. only if you are serious then i will goto the exhuast place and put back the stock muffler on. cheers
  7. guys i need some money. so the muffler has to go, been on car for about 3months. 3" inch inlet, 5" outlet. stainless steel, chrome finish. cannon style. can fit on any car, has brackets to fit onto skyline. is still on the car, gives of a deep low grow. sounds nice. na boys stay away from this one, unless u like loud. its a turbo muffler. can also sell with the 2.5" piping from catback (with 2 resonators), and/or with hi-flow 2.5" cat. (don't expect it to be cheap with the hi-flow cat, thats only been on for a few days with receipts) PRICE: $190, bought for $300. no ridiculous offers please, if ur interested then email me. 8. haha, the traffic in the asian countries is crazy, theres no traffic laws there, u just drive but yeah, the electronics is damn cheap. laptops, md's etc. very good prices, and u can bargain em down as well. also, car gear is quite cheap, i'm not sure about taiwan, but in hong kong, stuff like gear knobs, filters, rice lites etc. are very cheap compared to here. how long r u staying there for? would love to go there, only for a holiday though.
  9. guys, stay away from SEI, the owner their is real dodgy. he doesn't know shiat about cars, he just try's to sell them. and he really try's to push u into buying it and leaving a deposit as well. i took a look there a while back, was going to trade in my car, but he was too dodgy. wanted 23k for a series 1 r33. hes also got honda preludes 94mdl, don't ask me how he brought that down, u can't because thats already sold here locally. the only way i can fink of is by bringing a smashed one and then taking the plates from a local one here and putting it on his one, fixing it up and rebirthing it.
  10. cleaned the afm using nulon brake cleaner yesterday. didnt spray much on, just dribble drops onto it coz i was scared i might bugger it up. the car was already idling pretty well before hand, but you can definitely notice a difference aftewards.
  11. damn, so all of this happened in sydney?? im worried about the EPA as well, thats why i went to all that trouble changing the resonators and stuff to quiet my exhaust down. boxhead, i told them that i was a student so i don't get charged any fees
  12. hmmmm, is something going on between Inasnt and Mznismo  yer theres a few cars i see in boxhill, always the same ones. a lot of rice boys with their hotted up civics and stickers there too hehe.
  13. shiat funkymonkey, ur a bit poor like me, i have 28c in the bank. i wacked it on credit. sorry dude, but i think u got ripped off a lil bit. did u get 2.5" piping or 2 & 1/4" piping? also, is urs one of those oval shaped straight thru magnaflow muffler at the back? they place where i took my car to, could've done a deal for u for around 500-600bux with hi-flow cat. coz i asked them what if i wanted a new system etc. dandy exhaust quoted me 500bux for catback with teh magnaflow muffler. where did u take it?
  14. so bad idea to adjust it yourself? has anyone tried this themselves?
  15. yup, dats right, no T so i should be able to get to the plugs quite easily.
  16. thats what the one i saw in Kmart said on the label, not to use on plastic. i think i'll go with the nulon since u've already tried it out and its all good. thanks. i'll try this out saturday morning first thing.
  17. hey guys, went past station street, parked outside were 3 R34 beasts!!!! did anyone else see em?? a black (GTR i think), silver GTT, and yellow GTT. was beautiful, i didn't even keep my eyes on the road driving past em. i know that the owner of Quick Fit tyres in boxhill owns the yellow and silver one, coz i see them parked there all the time. hes a lucky guy. i think hes the owner of Evolution R as well.
  18. im gonna try out the brake cleaner tomorrow, after i go supercheapauto and buy some. do u just spray it a few times, then let it dry and put it back? i saw some brake cleaner at k-mart the other day, on the back it said that it could be used to clean all sorts of stuff.
  19. ok thanks for the replys. i'll give it a shot then wen i try to change the spark plugs as well.
  20. funkymonkey the stone chips are the worst! had that on my old car all over the bonnet, wen u polish it u can see the white dots everywhere hehe. anyways, how do u know u have the slowest car on these forums?? theres a couple of na guys here, including me, and u got extractors as well anyways, i had the hi-flow 2.5" cat put onto a 2.5" exhaust. it cost me $250! not a bad price, i got some trade discount. normally its $330 i think, plus fitting and shiat. 250 included fitting. it was way larger than my old cat. if u want i can meet u there and bargain the boss for u. i'm a bargain hunter have u also got a pod filter on? i'm planning to put a k&n pod back on since i have an exhaust and see if theres much difference. atm i have a blitz panel filter in.
  21. hey guys, just wondering how do i advance the timing on my r33 gts? i heard that it can become more responsive with the timing advanced. i've got a timing gun in the garage, but this connects to the spark plug lead, so how do i do it for the skyline? step by step instructions with pictures would be nice im not much of an mechanic, just the other day i dropped a bolt into the engine bay and couldn't find it
  22. boxhead, $800 is still very cheap i think. just cars etc still makes u pay under age excess etc, so thats why i didn't go with them. i mean, whats the chances that u cause a accident eh? hehe. anyways, i wasted more money today the tone of my exhaust had changed (much louder) so i figured there must b a leak so i took it to muffler place, and sure enough, the cat was no good. ended up putting in a 2.5" hi flow cat, boy oh boy i better get a job before my credit card bill comes in. exhaust is slightly louder now, use to have a standard 2" cat.
  23. im happy with the blitz filter, way better than the crappy paper one. but for a turbo car i'd get a pod filter. big difference between the pod and panel filter, pod sucks in way more air. take a look at this site in japan takakaira
