  1. hey surreal, when u say "the front of my box is open" do u mean that u just took the lid off the box? or u actually made a hole at the front of the box?
  2. thanks jimx. but i was actually looking at how to feed more air into the standard air box. i looked at jay51's pics and they were hardcore i really don't think i can do anything like that.
  3. hey guys, does anyone know how to get more air into the factory r33 air box? i've just taken out my k&n pod filter and put the stock box back in and i want to feed more air into the stock box. thanks.
  4. when mines cold it idles around 1200 as well. then it will drop to around 1000. after driving it will goto 750 and stay there.

  7. hey guys, i know this has been mentioned before, but can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to change the fuel filter for R33. i have never changed one b4 so i dont know what i'm doing. i need some really really easy to follow instructions, pictures would also be very helpful! thanks
  8. just tried the paper clip method. it worked!! realised i was putting it in the wrong holes wen DAMQIK said that the points had wires going into them. i was putting the clip into 2 empty ones hehe. the engine check lite flashed 5 times slow, and then 5 times quick? and then just kept repeating itself after that. anyone know what that means?

  10. hey hippy, auto super market is having a big sale at the moment. friend bought some infinity subs and splits there for cheap. also, the jvc mp3 unit there is about $350, not sure if its the same one, its got remote control as well. bargain i'd say.
  11. thanks for the pics and directions DAMQIK. i think i'm gonna stick with the paper clip method too. i don't wanna take out the kick panel and stuff. now i'm gonna go out and try this paper clip method again. fingers crossed.
  12. erm, i can't really remember what other mods he had. but the owner in japan pretty much did most the stuff. i think mods included (obviously all jap parts): exhaust extractors lightened flywheel heavy clutch safc airfilter dunno what else, thats all i can remember. u can hop on sdu and ask him. a lot of ppl there said it was a fast na.
  13. hey DAMQIK, can u confirm that the following diagram is correct: |O|OO|OO|OO| |X|XO|OO|OO| the pins marked "X" are the ones to put the paper clip through? coz i tried doing that and couldn't put it into diagnostic mode. the bottom left marked X were free, no wires were in them. some of the others had wires in them (for the alarm i fink).
  14. problem solved! the wires on one of the lites ended up being loose. the bulb on the other lite was gone. now i realise that the fuse for these fings are at the back in the boot next to the battery. and i figured out how easy it is to change the globe hehe. if anyone wants to know the globe is a H1 12V 55W P14.5s. Part No. 48320BL. $6.99 at autobarn. thanks for everyones help.
  15. i've seen the apexi safc in a lot of na cars. remi from sdu had one on his old na r33 and said it made a fair bit of difference. i heard he's na could keep up with some of the gts-T!! for around 450bux, i think its not too bad. can always take it back out if u get another car.
  16. could u tell me a little more about this? would it be a relatively cheap and easy to fix problem if it was the relay? coz i really need to get it fixed so i can drive at nite!
  17. it really helps if u use some sort of windscreen product to clean it which makes the water bead. similar to wax for the windscreen. then the water just wooshes off after i had my car detailed the windscreen wipers worked a treat coz the water would just bead on the windscreen and the wipers just cleared it off.
  18. i think bang for buck the k&n is fairly good. not much power difference between k&n and something like apexi, but a big difference in price. actually, i don't fink theres much difference in power gains between the brand names..
  19. thanks for the help guys. don't think its the fuse, because i swapped the 15A fuse with the one next to it (another 15A for the ciggy lighter) and still didn't work. so it mite be the bulbs, but how do i take them out? i'm sorta a bit dumb dumbs with these kinda things. didn't get back till it was dark today, so i'll take a look at them tomorrow and try work out how to take the globe out. already kinda fiddled around with the wires leading in to them, no luck. i mite just goto autobarn doncaster, they're very helpful
  20. help guys, the front lites of the cars not working. for a while now, the rite side has been playing up, wen i go over train tracks or something sometimes it would go out, and then come back again some other time. so i figured because it comes back, it can't be the bulb going, so its prolly a lose wire or something. but tonite, i went over the train tracks and both lites went out!! basically i was only driving with the dim lites and couldn't see shiat so i had to use high beam wen there were no cars and drive back home. now my question is, is it probably a fuse?? if so which one is it? i dont know which one to change. i remember seeing a diagram somewhere showing which fuse is for what. but i can't seem to find it. can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks
  21. hey guys i read on the skyline faq that u could put the ecu in diag mode by shorting the two terminals for 2 secs in the diagnostics connector. i followed the diagram: |O|OO|OO|OO| |X|XO|OO|OO| and stuck a paper click into the pins marked "X". nothing happend. can anyone verify that the diagram is correct, or is it something i'm doing wrong? the two pins were empty, i just stuck a paper clip through, each end of the clip onto each pin. btw i had the ignition on too. nothing. whats suppose to happen next? main reason i want to do it is coz its the easiest way to reset the ecu. thanks
  22. yer i heard that its in the recents months HPI, i'm gonna go out and buy it coz i have a na r33 the na supra is slightly faster than the na r33, but for the price of a na supra, u could buy a turbo r33!!! and i'm pretty sure we all know which one of those is faster! hey doxximus, if u don't mind me asking, where did u get ur car tuned and how much does it set u back?
  23. sheesh isn't anyone worried about burning their clutch out? i'd like to launch it a bit more, but then if the clutch goes, i won't have money to put in a new one
  24. hey doxximus, where are u planning on getting extractors from? i haven't heard of any place in melbourne which sells them for rb25de, except for Ringwood Exhaust. they custom made some, and i don't think they were that great. so i'm wondering where u can get some jap ones from...
  25. seriously, the most i'd do is: pod filter with box and CAI extractors, high flow cat and exhaust lightened flywheel and clutch and thats probably it. unless of course you have heaps of cash. i've only done the pod filter and cai, and i'm considering extractors and exhaust. but then on the other hand, i think i'm better off just getting a turbo! turbo's the way to go
