  1. yep thats a cheap price, u prolly will get a no name mild steel muffler. it will still be better than the stock exhaust and give u some growl. if thats all u want then go for it i reckon.
  2. hey nugget, wot windscreen antenna? i thought that was on the r32's. anyways just wondering if anyone knows what the following pics are, i took em from the rear boot, left handside, opened the panel there were the jack sits.
  3. gatty, as everyone else is saying u shouldn't be shifting into 1st unless ur stopping. not sure what speed ur going at, but it usually helps to shift to 2nd and then wen ur nearly at a stop push it in first. most cars have this point where 1st will easily slide in going at a certain slow speed, eg. for me wen the car is just about to stop and its still rolling i find that it will just slide into first easily.
  4. Its an R33, the antenna is at the rear left. I think i'll open the boot and take out the rear left panel again and see if i can see anything wrong with the antenna leads, last time i took a look there a bunch of wires there and i didn't know which is which. Didn't think it was necessary to ground the speakers? I thought you just need to ground the headunit. I'll take some pics tomorrow.
  5. doesn't look like my speakers are grounded? does anyone know if this is necessary? if so how do i do it? just connect a wire to the metal and then to the speaker? thanks
  6. 'ali' don't expect much from an n/a 2.5. is urs an auto or manual? the auto is quite sluggish. some r33's even came with a 2.0.
  7. thanks, i'll give that a shot. i really have no idea about these things.
  8. hi guys, i just got new speakers installed at the rear and ever since that happened i've got really bad FM radio reception. could be a coincidence, but i'm thinking a wire or something has come loose at the back? the headunit was not touched at all. can anyone point me in the right direction towards a wire or anything? i took a look in the boot and on the left hand side if u remove the panel theres a bunch of wires there. btw i have a vdo head unit and the reception for radio has been clear for 2 yrs, now theres hissing and some static, depends which area i drive through. cheers
  9. heres an old article on the r32 and a few others r32 r32 gts4 r33
  10. i will bring some corona's along
  11. hey danny have u got a workshop in camberwell now? would u consider doing a small job such as fitting in some speakers to the rear? i will contact you. cheers
  12. umm, this thread is very old and the problem has been resolved. cheers.
  13. do a search, there is heaps on servicing in the maintenance part. i also agree with mirkz on the oil for n/a.
  14. i think its 14, but can't quite get it on, could be due to the other bolt welded onto the plug. just need someone to confirm the size.
  15. btw, this is a pic of what mine looks like, its had another bolt welded onto it, thats why i can't use the normal wrench thing to get it off coz theres no room.
  16. can someone tell me what size spanner i need to get the filler plug off on the gearbox. i've copied a pic of the plug from the DIY section. i don't seem to have one which fits, so i want to buy the right size. thanks.
  17. i can't be stuffed with the 6x9's, unless someone knows a place in melb that will fit them for me. i'm just gonna go and exchange for 6". atm, i've got those carozzeria 6x9 boxed, but they sound shiathouse, barely hear anything out of them.
  18. KamikazeR33 where is this apexi joint in boxhill? i never realised it was there. lets keep politics outta this thread eh guys!
  19. got my letter too. thanks to snowman for finding this link.
  20. hey milo, any views which would help show me how u did it would be great. pooski, that damn hicas computer is another thing, it gets in the way and theres not much room.
  21. i think the bmt dyno is a low reading one, well thats what i like to think anyways
  22. cheers for the replies, looks like i'm going for an exchange then. hate doing stuff like that, hope jb let me exchange em.
  23. hey milo have u got any pics of this?
  24. thanks. i'm really no good at these sort of things, my friend bought me some nice JL 6x9's for the rears. i had some boxed 6x9's which came with the car, those carozerria or whatever ones and thought that the new ones would pop in the hole. should've known that the hole size is still for 6". now im wondering if i should get him to exchange the 6x9's for 6". or modify it somehow.
  25. hello guys, just wondering if anyones fitted an 6x9s in the rear of a r33? was it much work and much cutting up to do? cheers
